Levina stared at the huge man standing at the door, fear coursing through her body. Lucien was a carbon copy of his old man; the resemblance was uncanny, the only exception being that Lucien had blue eyes.
Levina staggered backward, and Lucien stood in front of her, shielding her with his body, just in case.
"Father, it's not what you think," Lucien said, staring at the angry man.
"What is it then?" he folded his hand across his chest questioningly. Lucien glanced back at Levina, she looked pale with her gaze glued to the ground. Lucien felt bad for putting her in such a situation. And knowing Levina the way he did, he knew she would use this as an excuse to avoid him. He didn't want that.
"Levina is my nurse, she has been taking care of me since I came home," Lucien explained taking a step closer to his father.
"That explains why you were so close to her face then," he retorted.
