Chapter 1 - CHAPTOR 0

Another typical day, I would say. My parents leave and go to work. I must go to school to do stuff. Pretty standard, right? I don't think so. My parents go to work, that's normal. I don't mean to sound dramatic, but what they do concerns me. They come home tired. It's not how parents look after coming back from work; my parents come back very late. They come home so late. My mom must make dinner in the morning, so I don't have to wait for her to come. My parents aren't very touchy about work. They don't talk about it. I need to find out what they are doing in that kingdom. I feel like something is going on. This is just to let you in on what's going on. Diary entry #45

It was a Friday night, I think. I made checkpoints of where my parents go when they go to work. It was at night, so my vision was limited. On top of that, it was foggy. Despite that, I still wanted to know what they were hiding. They are the only family members I have. They don't even talk about my close relatives either; those are some serious red flags that I need to look into. So, I ended up wandering around a forest. I hit a wall. My forehead was buzzing after that. It hurt a lot since I was walking blind.

I looked for an entrance, and it seemed there wasn't an entrance. Pretty weird if you ask me. Could they have a secret door? So I tried to look some more until I saw a hole almost half a mile from where I bumped my head.

I entered that entry point and was led to what looked like a park. It was empty. I was the only one there. I think it was 21:30. It took a while to arrive, so I assumed it would take a couple of hours. I saw someone standing alone. He looked like a tall guy. There was something about him. He turned his face in my direction. It's like he could see me, but he didn't know where I was because every time I moved to another position, his head followed me too. Finally, this man's face began looking astonished. I started feeling like I couldn't move, which was scary. The guy was coming in my direction, and this was the time to be paralyzed. Besides my panic, something wasn't right. I felt… pain. "Is this normal?" I thought. No. No. I tried to move back a bit, but it was as if I had just gained 6000 pounds. I eventually fell on my back. Everything became blurry, and I woke up the following day.

It was a weird dream I had. My parents quickly disregarded it. I finally got the courage to ask what they were doing there. They said that they were house cleaners. They serve the king directly, so they did not want people to know about their jobs because people who work there get kidnapped and are used as bargaining power to get whatever information they want from the King. It was the first time they told me about what they do at work, so I was pretty happy about it. They even stated that they had a skin condition that hurt them when they were in the sun. I think. A full day passed, and I was satisfied. But I began being so eager to go to that kingdom myself. They have so many stories they come home and tell me; I was excited. The first time I told them about it, they were not happy about it at all. They said I shouldn't. That's when I began getting suspicious again. I began to think I'd have to go there anyway, just for self-satisfactory purposes. Yeah, and I'll bring a friend just in case something happens. It was hard to convince any of them because they were confident that anyone who goes to the kingdom goes missing, but finally, I found a friend who was kind enough to help. However, I would have preferred someone else.
