Legend Two
The Wild Harpy.
OR
(Being alone in the woods with my elf step sister is about to make me act up.)
And just like that Barric found himself in the middle of a massive orgy.
The only male in a sea of gyrating flesh. Monster girls, demons, elves, orcs, humans, goblins, dwarves, halflings, fae, and even ascended non-corporeal beings from other dimensions could do little to satiate the lust of the human man. The postcoital musk that wafted through the room was like a fine mist with an intoxicating smell that could surely bring any other mortal to their knees.
Barric leaned back as a pair of kitsune fox girl twins began to towel off his sweaty body. They both giggled in delight as they were able to touch his strong frame.
The King relaxed, finally able to let all his worries go from his mind.
Nothing bothered him now, no kingly duties, no whining royals or nobles, no wars or military campaigns, only pleasure. Only monster girls.
His relaxed mind floated in a peaceful bliss until the sharp clicking of high heels rang out across the room, snapping him back to reality. He opened his eyes just a bit to see who had approached him before they went wide in surprise.
It was his adopted elven sister Layla. Though instead of her regular disapproving gaze, she beamed down at him with heavy, confident bedroom eyes.
The sort of look only the filthiest of wenches could cast upon their step fathers during copper beer night.
If this wasn't enough to catch the King off guard, the rest of her garb would.
She was dressed just like the local tavern maids Barric had so often seduced, though her dress was so short it almost hid nothing. Her low cut blouse hugged below her exposed shoulders barely containing her heaving bosom, and left her strong midriff and navel on display.
Her hair was let down, flowing free, lacking the complex braid patterns it was usually done up in.
She had one hand on her hip and the other holding a glass pint of beer.
He stared up at her, doing his best to hide his awe as she spoke.
"Might I borrow you for a moment, dear brother?" She asked with a sly grin.
"Well, I'm sort of in the middle of something." Barric told her, pointing at the twin fox-eared girls pressed tight into both of his sides under his strong arms.
"Twins Layla, twins!" He said, reminding her of the magnitude of the situation.
"Well, I'm sure they can wait their turns just like rest." Layla said, stepping forward to straddle his legs. She stood on her knees, legs spread above him as she moved her free hand behind his head to start stroking him with her long nails.
"It's your favorite, from the Drunken Dragon tavern back home." She told him, holding the beer high as if she were about to pour it into his mouth.
Barric leaned his head back and opened his mouth, but instead of delivering the sweet nectar unto him, Layla began to pour it in her own mouth. She gulped a few mouthfuls of it down before altering its path and pouring it down her chest, in between her breasts. Barric could not let the finest beer in the kingdom go to waste and immediately freed his arms of the foxes to lean in and lick it straight from her chest.
Layla gasped and pressed his face between her breasts.
"You fell for my trap so easily!" She moaned, finally sinking down onto his nude lap. Barric now gasped, able to feel that she wore nothing under the dress.
She began to bounce on his lap, holding his head in place and moaning his name.
"Barric, Barric!" She moaned.
It was like nothing he had ever experienced. He felt like he was right on the edge, but couldn't quite find the climax.
She shook his body and spoke his name again.
"Barric, Barrrric, come on, wake up!"
Barric opened his eyes and was once again part of the waking world. He stared up at his sister who was sitting next to him in their small tent, shaking him awake.
"Are you alright? You were breathing really hard." She told him, staring down at him with a bit of concern on her face.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." He assured her as he quickly looked her over.
She appeared to be his usual adopted elf sister.
Her hair was braided into its usual fancy patterns, she wore her usual boyish ranger uniform, and her eyes were devoid of all lust and still glimmered like a clueless virgin.
"I see your chest is still flat... Good, I had the strangest dream." Barric told her, sitting up. His unconscious mind must have given her far more credit.
Layla immediately covered her already covered chest as her pale face turned red in embarrassment for multiple reasons.
"You were dreaming about my chest?" She asked, more embarrassed than offended.
"Ehhh, kind of." Was all Barric cared to say as he rubbed his eyes and began to wonder why he had been having that dream in the first place. Perhaps their first week in the woods with no wenches or drink was starting to get to him.
"Was it a good dream at least?" She asked shyly as Barric sighed at her question.
"Perhaps our travel is already starting to affect us." He said, purposefully avoiding her question.
"Travel? We are still at the creek!" The elf reminded him.
"We can still see the castle from here!" She said, pointing at the wood line behind them where the castle could be seen off in the distance.
"Oh yeah..." He replied, still half asleep.
The elf let out a deep sigh, very clearly disappointed.
"You had me believe we were going on some grand adventure to save the kingdoms and travel the lands together, and here we are camping next to the same creek we played at as children." Layla complained.
Barric didn't bother to respond as he had already nodded back off, his head hanging down where he sat.
"Barric! Are you even listening?" She yelled, snapping him right back up.
"Huh? Yea!" He assured her, looking up with heavy eyes.
"I know you never wanted to be king, but your laziness could be costing people their freedom. The demon armies advance from the north as we speak." Layla reminded him.
Barric knew she was right, as much as he hated it. He sighed and stood up.
"You're right, we've fucked off for too long. It's time to get going." He said.
"WE?" She asked, clearly insulted.
"What? You know what I mean." He waved her off.
"Well let's get everything packed again and get going then." Layla said, already starting to stuff things back in the pack.
"Of course! Though I have to pop back in the castle before we are off." He mentioned.
"What possibly for?" Layla asked.
"Already ate all the food." He admitted stepping out of the tent, heading straight back towards the castle.
Just a short time later once Barric had gone through the castle's pantry again and pried himself away from Ograna they were off.
They traveled hard for a few days, only stopping to sleep and when nature called. They did their best to stick to the main path, but eventually they came to a fork in the road. Barric continued straight onwards into the forest between the fork, claiming he had traveled this path before as a shortcut during a military campaign.
"Barric, how much time did you say this shortcut was going to save us exactly?" Layla asked.
"A whole day's worth of travel!" He assured her, looking about curiously.
"We've been walking for two days now!" She was quick to point out.
"Well... That's because it's a three day journey." He assured her once again, peeking over his shoulder as if listening for something.
"We're lost, aren't we?" Layla blurted out as she came to a stop.
Barric paused as well, turning around.
"Lost? We're not lost! Or at least I'm not lost! You might be lost..." Barric claimed.
"Well I'm not taking another step until we know where we are going again, pull out the map." Layla demanded.
"The map? I got rid of that at the creek." He informed her casually.
"WHAT! Why would you get rid of the map of all things!?" Layla yelled.
"I do not need a map to know my way around the kingdoms. I've traveled plenty of times, also the toilet paper ran out." He explained.
"THEN USE A FUCKIN' LEAF LIKE A DRUID!" Layla told him, her shouting sending flocks of birds from nearby trees. Barric turned his head quickly as if he had heard something before turning back to Layla.
"Come on, We should at least keep moving." He told her, as he continued to lead the way.
Layla sighed.
"I guess that's all we can do now." She said, still in disbelief.
The pair continued to walk the rest of the day, Layla following Barric as they made their way through the forest.
It had been a long day and the sun was starting to set. The pair came to a stop along a twisting creek and began to set up camp. By the time they had both their tents set up and the fire going, night had fallen. The pair sat across the fire from each other as they ate their modest dinner of Ol' Tamerian beer bread and water.
They remained silent as they ate, the only sounds coming from the crackling fire between them.
"Layla... I think you should sleep in my tent tonight." Barric said, casually breaking the silence.
Layla coughed, almost choking on the water she was drinking.
"W-why, I mean... You do?" She asked, doing her best to situate herself and wipe the water from her lip.
"Yes." Barric said, staring straight at her, no sign of a joke on his face.
Was this finally it? She wondered.
"Alright... I can do that." She assured him, though she may have been the one that needed the reassurance.
"Let's go, then." Barric said, nodding towards his tent.
"Oh, right now? Like, right now?" Layla asked in a quickened voice.
"Yes, like right now." Barric said, standing to lead the way into his tent.
He disappeared into the tent leaving Layla sitting in front of the fire by herself in the night. She finished her water and stood, doing her best confident stride towards Barric's tent.
She pushed her way into the flaps but the moment she entered Barric grasped her and pulled her in close. He put his finger to his lips to gesture for her to be quiet, but she spoke anyway.
"Barric! T-this is all so sudden. We don't have to be quiet, you know, we're not in the castle anymore." She assured him, letting her hair down and starting to undo the buckles on her leather armor.
Barric grabbed her wrist.
"Stop, why are you doing that? It's making a lot of noise." He told her.
Layla paused.
"I thought you wanted... I thought we were going to..." She trailed off staring at him.
He stared back at her blankly and raised an eyebrow.
"Going to what?" He asked.
All she could do was stare right back up at him, her face turning bright red against her fair elven skin.
"Finally do it?" Was all she could manage to say.
"Oh wait what, dude no. I'm not that desperate." Barric said, realizing his mistake as soon as he said it.
"Desperate? Desperate! What's that supposed to mean? Huh?" Layla asked, raising her voice.
"Now that's not what I meant, and keep your voice down. Also, what did you mean, finally?" Barric asked.
"Don't change the subject! You would have to be desperate to be with me? Do you have any idea how many nobles have asked for my hand?" She went on.
"Shhhh, Layla, shut the fuck up!" Barric whispered looking around.
"NO! YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP! Why do you keep telling me to be qui-"
"SQUAAAAAAA!"
Layla was cut off by ear splitting screech from outside. She almost jumped right out of her skin as she drew her dagger.
"What in the fuck was that?" She whispered now.
"I was trying to tell you, something has been following us." Barric explained, grasping his sword.
"You weren't trying to tell me shit, I thought you finally wanted to fuck and all you did was insult me!" Layla argued back.
"What? Why do you keep saying 'finally?'" He asked. Though before Layla could answer, the tent was torn open from the top and split like a baked potato.
Something swooped around in the air above them as the pair stood in the cold night air once again. Barric held his sword at the ready, while Layla held only a dagger, having left her staff in her tent.
"SQUAAAAA!" The creature squawked once again.
The pair stood at the ready, back to back as they scanned the black night sky. The moon was only a crescent and the clouds obscured what little light it did provide, proving it to be no help this night.
"What's the plan, Barric?" Layla asked.
"How about... When I count to three, you run to get your staff and I'll distract whatever it is." Barric said.
"Not bad actually, let's give it a shot." She agreed.
"Alright, One... Two... Thre-"
Before Barric could finish the count something swooped down and smashed into the pair from the side, sending them both to the ground, weapons flying from their hands.
Layla was the first to recover, rolling to her feet from the impact and spinning around as quickly as she could.
Barric had landed with his crotch dangerously near the fire with the creature on top of him.
"Barric!" Layla yelled with fear in her voice for her brother who was clearly under attack. Quickly she rushed to his aid, but once she was close enough, the fire's light revealed what was really going on.
The creature atop her brother was a harpy, and at the moment she seemed to be thrusting her hips at Barric's face.
"Man meat man meat!" The harpy yelled, grasping at Barric's hair to hold on. Though her efforts were in vain as Layla pried her off and tossed her to the ground. She planted a boot on one of the harpy's wings, pinning her to the ground. Barric had finally risen to his feet, spitting out a few feathers as he regained his composure.
Barric and Layla both stared down at the harpy now, wondering how this small thing had caused them so much trouble. She flapped her little wings, unable to get anywhere as she yelled.
"Step off step off!"
Layla stood firm, not about to let this little trouble maker go again.
The harpy was small and skinny, as most were since it made flying all the easier. Her feathers and short hair were a matching bright red while her pale skin made a stark contrast. Her small breast and crotch were covered with simple leather loincloths that had the bones and feathers of other creatures strung about them.
"Why were you following us?" Barric asked, looking down at the now pinned creature.
"Man meat! I could smell it!" She said, pointing her free wing at Barric's crotch.
He sighed.
"Do you know where the closest inn is?" Barric asked.
"Ye ye, I know I know!" The harpy claimed, grinning slyly.
"Well, where is it?" Layla asked, clearly starting to lose her patience.
"Mmmmm... I no tell unless give man meat! Squaaa!" The harpy bargained, gesturing wildly at Barric's crotch again.
"Well that's not happening, so tell us where the inn is!" Layla demanded.
"Well now sis, let's not be so hasty." Barric said.
"Wait what? You're not seriously considering laying with this creature are you?" Layla asked.
"... Well yeah, if it means she points us in the right direction; and, frankly, I think you're being a bit harsh. She's not a completely wild animal like a bird. She can speak, she wears clothes, and clearly she's totally down to fuck." Barric pointed out.
"Much down, much down! Squaaa!" The harpy squawked in need.
"That's... You..." Layla was at a loss for words. Something in her wanted to protest further, but she knew that lust-filled look in his eye and there was absolutely no way she could force any logic through that thick skull when he was in such a state.
She sighed and raised her boot from the harpy's wing.
"Make it quick." Layla said mournfully, turning around and crossing her arms.
Just like that, the Harpy sprang from the ground and straight onto Barric, though he was ready for her this time. He caught her in his strong arms and she began to lick at his face and thrust her hips against him with her loincloth still on.
Barric took her straight to the ground onto the bed roll within the ruins of his split open tent. Once tossed to the ground the harpy continued to buck her hips.
"Man meat man meat!" Squaaa!" She demanded, pointing at her crotch.
"Yea yea, be patient, I can only get it out so quick!" He told her, tugging at his trousers. Though once he had spread her legs and pulled her loincloth aside he paused for a moment.
"Uhhh Layla, there only appears to be one hole." He said, questioningly.
"What?! Why are you telling me?" She exclaimed in disbelief.
"I thought you might have some knowledge on this, you're more the outdoorsy type." He told her, eyeing the single hole with a raised eyebrow.
"Birds only have a single hole that everything goes in and out of..." Was Layla's only explanation.
"Then what am I supposed to...?" Barric trailed off, looking up at his elf sister.
"One. Hole." Was all she said, gesturing with a single pointer finger.
"Interesting." Barric said under his breath as he got right back to it. There was no time for foreplay, drinks to be exchanged, or him listening to her talk on and on about how her star sign. It had been over a week since he had been with a woman.
The harpy's single hole seemed already excited enough seeing as it was glistening in the moonlight. He pressed himself between her legs and fulfilled her wish, blessing her with man meat.
"Squaaa!" She part chirped and moaned out as was filled by the King.
To Barric's surprise, she was tight like the grip of a she-orc. It only encouraged him to get to work, pounding away at the small frame of the light harpy.
"Squaaa squaaa squaaa!" She chirped with each thrust.
"Never thought I'd get to have anal and vaginal at the same time, especially on the first date!" Barric declared, somewhat jokingly.
"Oh come on now, make it quick!" Layla complained, looking over her shoulder.
She sighed and did her best not to watch at first, but eventually she couldn't help it. She stood there facing the pair now, watching as her step brother ravaged the needy harpy. She didn't know why, but she could not take her eyes off the pair. Something welled up in her chest as she watched them. Was this jealousy?
The harpy squealed in delight once again and wrapped her wings and legs around Barric. He paused for a moment and almost jumped as her legs wrapped around his ass. He grabbed at them awkwardly but could not get a hold as he tried to keep his pace. Each time he touched the harpy's legs he shuddered and let go.
"Layla, some assistance!" Barric called out.
"W-what could you possibly need?" She responded with a faint feeling of hope. Perhaps this creature could not do it for him and he would need her help to finish? She wondered, as she approached.
"Her legs Layla! I need you to hold them open." He explained to her, slowing down. His royal member was starting to soften.
"W-what! Why?" She asked, standing right next to the pair now.
"Because! She has those gross ass chicken legs and everytime I touch them it makes me cringe! It's killing my boner!" He explained, groping at her chest and teasing her nipples to keep her distracted in the meantime.
"Mmmmmmm!" The harpy moaned in delight, without care about the conversation they were having about her.
"Harder man meat harder!" She squawked, starting to take notice of his softening royal cock.
"Quickly Layla, grab her ankles!" Barric yelled, keeping his hands on the harpy's breasts.
Layla froze for a moment. Her fantasy had not come to pass, but she would have to help her brother if they wanted to find their way out of these woods.
"Ok! I'll do it... for you!" She told him confidently.
Layla crouched down behind the harpy's head and reached over her to grasp her chicken-like ankles. She pulled them back hard, to bring the creature's ankles next to her head, making her entire bottom end thrust upwards sharply.
With the harpy's legs clear and sharper angle for Barric to now penetrate at, he seized his chance. He thrusted down into her deeper than he was able to go before and let off a torrent of deep, rough, loud thrusts that would send wet slapping noises echoing about a quarter mile into the surrounding woods.
"Yes! Yes! Man meat! I! I!" The harpy moaned as her entire body shook with climax.
"SQUEEEAAAAAAA!" She let out an ear piercing squawk as her single hole clamped down on Barric's member, this time like an angry male orc.
"Fuck!" He yelled, as this sent him over the edge as well and began to let his own climax take hold. He didn't bother pulling out as he blessed the harpy's singular hole with his royal seed.
The pair panted, though Barric had not even broken a sweat.
Barric almost jumped off her once again as her legs rubbed up against him.
Layla had let them go now and was silently staring at the pair. Her usually pale elf face was beet red. She took a deep breath and did her best to compose herself.
"Well?" Layla said, pointing at the dazed harpy who laid in the ruins of the tent.
"Well what?" Barric asked, cleaning himself off with a soft leaf before pulling his trousers back up.
"Ask her about the inn!" Layla told him, starting to lose her patience with all this.
"Oh right! Uhhh, hey there... honey." Barric said to the harpy awkwardly.
"Oh. My. Gods..." Layla said, unamused by him.
"So you gonna tell us where that inn is now?" Barric asked the harpy.
She laid there in a daze for a moment before nodding.
"Yes! Thanks for man seed, good for eggs." She commented before getting back to her feet.
"I be back, then I show you!" She told them before leaping into the air and taking off into the night's sky.
"Wait, what?!" Layla protested. "She just fucking ran off! Some plan brother!" She yelled at Barric.
"Oh hush sister, she said she would return. I can take care of you in the meantime if you would like..." Barric teased with a raised eyebrow and roguish smile.
"How about you clean the feathers off your dick first!" She replied, crossing her arms.
Almost as quickly as the harpy flew away she had returned. She extended her closed talon to Barric, offering him some paper.
He took the paper as Layla leaned in to see what it was. They both looked down to read it over.
"Harpy's landing inn
Come on down to Harpy's landing inn!
We got mead, shmead, and ditch weed!
We got floors, s'mores, and whores! (Sometimes.)
We got rooms for rent, no ents, Our bar has a dent.
We got Nard the non sequitur bard!
You can find us on the north road from Old Tameria.
Turn left at the big tree and follow the road till you see the rock shaped like a dire bear, if you are mugged by Paul the highwayman you've gone too far!
"Huh... I wonder if that bard wrote this." Barric speculated.
Layla sighed.
"We are still lost in the middle of the woods!" She pointed out.
"Road over that hill." The harpy said, pointing. "Inn just down road." She added with a goofy smile, looking at Layla.
The elf was more than sick of her by now as she returned her innocent gaze.
"Alright, might as well get going now if it's that close." She said, promptly turning away to go break her tent down.
"Thanks again for the help, I'll be sure to stop again when we return home." Barric told the harpy with a grin and a wink.
"Squaaa! Next time I take even more seed, man meat!" The harpy assured him before licking his cheek and taking off back into the night sky.
Soon enough, the King and the elf were packed up and back to the journey.
After following the harpy's simple directions they had found the road and followed it a short way. Sure enough, there was the Harpy's Landing Inn.
It appeared to be a quaint roadside inn. A few old men sat on the porch smoking their pipes and exchanging stories about days passed.
The pair made their way into the inn, Barric giving the old timers a nod. Once inside they were greeted with the sights and sounds of a bustling inn. The night's activities were already in full swing.
Drunken dwarves were singing and dancing to an ancient drinking song, a band of would-be adventurous were having their first meeting, and a small gang of goblin whores were informing a would-be client how he can save a few copper if he goes for the group deal.
Barric scanned the bar with a wide smile and excitement in his heart. This was where he felt he truly fit in, with the common folk of the lands, drinking, singing, and being free.
Barric pulled the small crown from his head and stuffed it deep into his pack to avoid any questioning.
The pair made their way to the bar with Barric leading the way. Soon enough they each had a cup of mead and Barric was leaning against the bar gazing around the inn to see what sort of characters they would have for company tonight. He paused his gaze near the back of the inn, on a table in the corner. A hooded figure sat with their back to the wall, taking sips from their cup. They looked up for only a moment, the pair catching a glimpse of his face.
"That's the demon messenger from before." Layla whispered to Barric.
"I see… What was his name again?" Barric replied, keeping an eye on him.
"Sylas, I think it was. What should we do?" Layla asked.
"Have a drink with him, perhaps he will answer a few questions for us." Barric told her, taking off from the bar.
"But what if- Barric, wait!" Layla urged, doing her best to keep her voice low still. It was too late. She followed Barric across the inn, dodging all sorts of drunkards and whores as he strode straight towards the demon's table.
Barric spun one of the empty seats around and straddled it, leaning his strong arms on the back.
"How goes it, friend?" Barric asked the hooded demon, as Layla stood there awkwardly.
The demon had looked up from his drink by now to peer at the two of them.
"Have you been following me?" He asked casually. "You know I will not allow you to bring any harm to my Princess." The demon assured them.
"Well that's what we wanted to talk to you about, actually." Barric started, shooting the messenger a quick finger gun.
"Layla, sit down, your hovering is weird."
"Oh well excuse me! I didn't know if you were gonna start a fight or something." She said, finally taking a seat at the small table.
"Not at all... Sylas was it? I just want to talk. And we just want to talk with your Princess.
As the new King of Old Tameria, I would like to avoid any unnecessary wars." Barric explained. He paused waiting for the demon's response. The messenger stared into the crowded bar in thought for a moment before finally breaking the silence.
"I've never been to a place like this. The kingdoms of man were nothing like I expected. I was led to believe men were nothing but unthinking savages that lived on instinct like the forest creatures." The demon said, watching those who danced.
"Well some are." Layla said, shooting a look at Barric.
"True, some are. But it seems the instincts you live by are different.
Driven by a constant desire for happiness, purpose, and freedom." The demon went on.
"Aye, the people of Siriuhs are hearty and driven by their passions. That's why I believe a war with the demon armies would drag on until the bitter end. Most here would die before accepting anything less than absolute freedom." Barric explained, being somewhat diplomatic for once.
Layla raised an eyebrow, almost impressed.
"I can see why." Sylas the demon said.
"Things are quite different in demon society. I was not given a choice about being at my Princess's side at all times, protecting her, and fulfilling her every desire. It has always been the responsibility and honor for my family to serve the royal family, but everyday I'm thankful for it. Being in her presence, seeing her smile, hearing her laugh, brings me a certain joy." The demon went on.
"Like a love story of old." Layla said.
"Sounds like someone has a crush." Barric laughingly teased, although the demon only raised an eyebrow.
"A crush?" Sylas asked.
There was an awkward silence for a moment as Barric and Layla looked at each other.
"You know, a crush, someone you like... you have a crush on." Layla explained, stealing glances at Barric all the while as her face started to heat up.
"Yes, and once you tell that person you like them, you crush!" Barric explained further with a grin.
"You crush them in battle?" Sylas asked.
Layla sighed loudly.
"Nooo, Barric is being... Barric. A crush is someone you've spent some time with as friends or acquaintances and you start to have feelings for them, like admiration, comfort, or trust... But they... Don't know." Layla tried to explain once again turning red as she tried to avoid glancing back at Barric.
"I see... I guess demon's have no word for it. We are assigned mates based on class." He explained. "Though your description of this crush does match my experiences with the Princess." Sylas said.
"Wait, assigned mates? Who do you fuck before you get your government issued wife?" Barric asked.
"Fuck? If you mean who do we mate with, no one." The demon said simply.
Even Layla raised her eyebrows at this.
"Oh wait, that's actually tragic." She commented.
"Whaaat the fuuuck. So you've never been with a woman?" Barric asked in disbelief.
"Like I said, I have been with the Princess almost all my life. I take care of her. I wake her in the morning, watch over her while she sleeps, make her meals, bathe her, dress her, advise her on certain decisions, and read to her until she falls asleep." Sylas explained.
Barric and Layla's eyes were wide at this.
"He makes me miss Ograna."Barric said.
"Oh hush." Layla said.
"I bet she misses you by now." Layla said to Sylas.
"She was reluctant to send me on this journey, but she wanted to send someone she could trust to tell her the truth about the human realm. At first I wasn't impressed, but now... I'd like to know more about the human way of life, perhaps experience it for myself. As powerful and efficient as demon society is, it is still quite... barbaric. Strength is the only commodity that matters. I fear this entire campaign she has started is just to impress her father, the demon lord. Unlike him, military action and conquering is not her passion." Sylas went on.
"Well, what is?" Barric asked.
"She just wants to be left alone to play her lute and sing with me. That's what she told me before I left." The demon explained, looking away wistfully, clearly lost in thought.
Layla was almost in tears.
"Just like the old stories!" Layla said again, moved by the demon's plight.
"Well, Sylas my man, it sounds to me like your Princess has a crush as well. A crush on you! And you know what else?" Barric asked.
Sylas, snapped from his thoughts, and raised an eyebrow.
"I think you should join us! Travel with us on our journey to the north and we will show you the best Siriuhs has to offer. If you're not impressed enough to convince your Princess by the time you see her again, I won't stand in your way."
Barric proposed.
"Whadya think?" Barric asked, extending his hand.
Layla sat there silently a tad concerned.
Sylas thought for a second and sighed, looking around the room at the carefree patrons, and smiled for the first time in front of the pair.
"I guess I win either way, but it does sound entertaining... I will come with you, for my Princess." The demon messenger, Sylas, said, extending his hand to shake Barric's.
"Hell yeah, bro! Let's fucking go!" Barric jumped out of his seat and yelled, making the entire Inn cheer as well. Though they had no idea who the lively patrons were, nor about the importance of the deal that had just been struck, they were happy to cheer along.
