Legend Seven
Barric in Wonderland
OR
(Can a grin without a catboy still suck a dick?)
And just like that the party had a new member in tow as they continued their journey north. Layla and Quinn marched on with heavy eyes from lack of sleep. Every night since they had left the fort the once demon General shared the King's tent with him. They went on late into the night, the demon moaning loudly as there were sounds of wet slapping as their hips met over and over. He had spent the past few days teaching her more about the pleasures she had left her previous life for, over and over and in great detail.
Eventually the party came to pause once again as the sun was getting low in the sky and it was time to make camp. Once camp was set up, Layla would hang a pot over the fire and do her best to start a meal for everyone, but came to find they were running low on food already. They had not planned to pick up a huge demon along the way when they had left Sqwuck and to no one's surprise she had a hearty appetite. So they went into the forest to forge for what they could find, Barric and Akaibana conveniently splitting from the rest of the party during their search. Eventually they all returned back to camp, each having found something different to contribute to the stew except for Barric and Akaibana. Barric used the same old excuse his sister had heard plenty of times, that he was no good at forging and the flora eluded him. Of course everyone else knew what they were up to from their big grins and the smell of them. Even without their contributions the rest were able to put together a stew that should be able to feed all of them. Quinn had gathered many eggs from multiple bird's nests, Layla had hunted and killed a small deer with her bow, and Sylas gathered almost a whole sack of mushrooms. Layla didn't recognize those types of mushrooms, but Sylas and Akaibana assured her these were a common staple in demon stews.
Soon enough the large pot was boiling and in no time the stew was ready. The party sat around the fire ladling out portions of stew for each of them. Barric sat on one long log with Akaibana on one side and Sylas on the other, both sitting very close and eyeing each other as they tried to eat. Barric of course was oblivious to this as he ate, admiring how good the stew was that Layla had thrown together from the bounty of the forest.
Sylas and Layla each sat alone on their own fallen logs as the party ate in near silence. Layla and Quinn were still tired from the previous nights, while the rest were busy enjoying the stew.
Eventually Barric had finished his second bowl and was feeling quite restored except for an odd feeling he couldn't quite shake. He stared into the fire for a bit and watched the embers dance, the colors of it seemed so much more vibrant than usual.
Out of the corner of his eye he caught a flash of something white and turned just in time to see what he swore was a huge white rabbit woman running off into the forest.
He stood at once and pointed.
"Holy shit!" Did y'all see that?" He asked, as everyone else in the party gave him strange looks.
They all looked about at once to try and find what he was talking about, but failed, returning their gazes to him.
"What was it?" Layla asked, sitting her bowl down.
"A rabbit… A woman… A beautiful white rabbit woman!" Barric told them as he took a few steps into the forest. The others jumped to their feet quickly to follow, but Barric was already in full sprint through the forest as the sun was setting.
He chased after a white streak through the woods, getting little glimpses of the woman as he was barely able to keep up with her. Eventually he would spot the woman dive into a dugout underneath a massive tree. She paused for a moment as she was stuck, only her rear and tail on display as she struggled into the hole. The King raised an eyebrow and grinned at this as he approached, but before he could make it to her, she freed herself and disappeared into the hole under the tree.
Barric went to his knees and peered into the huge hole. It revealed nothing as it was only pure darkness and against his better judgment he leaned in to try and climb into the hole as well. It wouldn't be the first time he pursued a strange woman in a forest… and it probably wouldn't be the last.
