Legend Eight
Love at first fight
OR
(It feels like I have a boner… in my heart)
"And just like that... There I was, barbeque sauce on my titties and gravy on my loins." Barric the King went on, retelling a story from his teenage years that no doubt the entire party had heard plenty of times now.
"And that's when I knew, holding the annual orgy at the all you can eat buffet was one of the better strategic ideas I had ever come up with."
He went on as Layla raised an eyebrow.
The rest of the party remained silent as not a single one of them knew quite how to respond to such a tale, their sexual and dietary experience being no match for the young King's.
"I had a brownie once." Quinn said, to break the awkward silence that followed the conclusion of Barric's epic tale.
"And how was she?" Barric asked in response.
"Wait… what?" Quinn asked, but he would never get a response as Sylas shushed the party.
"There are others close." The demon whispered, stalking ahead to investigate the sounds.
The rest of the party followed close and soon enough the sound of many voices was all too apparent.
They all did their best to approach the voices as stealthily as they could, wondering what sort of black mass they could have stumbled upon in the forest of Siriuhs. Finally Sylas separated a bush that lied between them and the strangers to reveal who they had stumbled upon.
To the entire party's surprise it appeared to be a festival.
A festival just like the ones in Ol' Tameria except for some reason it was in the middle of the forest.
It had everything any normal festival would have in Barric and Layla's homeland. There were stands for food and drink, stands of goods, and stands of games where unsuspecting commoners could try their best at a game of luck in disguise as a game skill.
Though there seemed to be one attraction that most of the festival goers seemed to gather round. Wherever it was, the party could not see it from their angle of entry. All Barric could see so far was the back of some wooden stands where many people could be heard mummering as they awaited the mystery event.
The King headed straight for these stands and the rest of the party followed their self proclaimed leader close as they too must have been struck with the same burning curiosity.
Soon enough they rounded the back of the stands to have the spectacle revealed to them. Between two sets of stands sat a square platform that was raised a few feet off the ground. The platform had black wooden posts at each of its corners that were each connected by black ropes.
No one in the party had ever seen anything like it, but they wouldn't soon look away from the odd stage in fear they might miss the yet known event. They wouldn't have to wait long for as soon as they had finished taking in the sight of it all a man walked into the square ring.
He was well dressed and held a metallic magical device that once he spoke into it, amplified his voice many times.
"Hello battle box fans! Are! You! Rrrrrrrrrrrrready!?" The man said into his device.
The crowded stands all cheered.
"Ladies and gentlemen! let's get ready to rrrrruuuuumble!"
The crowd went wild at this as the forest was filled with cheers and whistles.
The man went on.
"In this corner! Weighing in at three hundred and twenty pounds. Shmork the Orc!"
From a gap between the stands a massive orc man came bounding out towards the ring, pumping his fists and raising both of his arms straight up in a triumphant pose before climbing into the ring and taking his place near the man.
"And in this corner! All the way from the howling isles! The undefeated and still reigning heavyweight battle box champ! The Queen of Wolves!"
With this announcement the crowd once again went wild as the champ stepped out from between the stands on the opposite side.
Barric's eye grew wide and his jaw began to slack just at the sight of her.
The Queen of Wolves was a massive woman, easily the same size as Akaibara and just as mean looking. She had deep brown sun kissed skin just like Barric and long flowing white hair. She wasn't the queen of wolves for nothing, as she had two wolf ears poking out of her white hair at the top of her head and a fluffy white tail that hung unmoving at the moment.
Barric couldn't seem to take his eyes off her, everything about her was striking. Hey eyes were golden yellow like the moon on a perfect night, her abs rippled in a perfect sweaty row, and there was just a hint of white pubic hair peeking out from the top of her tight black shorts she wore for her battle box attire.
The King quickly found himself unconsciously moving forward to get closer to the ring just to get a closer look at the mysterious warrior woman. He watched as she approached the ring and instead of sliding in from the bottom underneath one of the ropes like her opponent, she leaped right into the air and cleared all of the ropes before landing perfectly on the opposite side of the orc.
By this time Layla had grabbed Barric's hand and was urging him away from the ring.
"Come on! We gotta go find seats, we can't just stand here, everyone is staring!" She told him, but he didn't seem to care. Even as she led him away he kept his eyes locked on the huge half wolf woman.
Soon enough the party found a spot in the stands big enough to accommodate them all, though it was probably far easier as people started to make extra room in fear of the two demons that joined them.
Akaibana took a seat right next to the King, Quinn on his other side, Layla next to Quinn and Sylas all the way on the end next to Layla.
By this time Wolf Queen and the orc were standing toe to toe in the ring, staring each other down as the ref explained the rules they surely already knew to them.
"Nothing below the belt, no hair pulling, no titty twisters, purple nurples, charlie horses. This mainly applies to you Shmork." The ref pointed out. The orc gave him an annoyed look, but quickly returned his attempt at an intimidating gaze back to the Queen.
"Now I want a good, fair, clean fight. Got it?" The ref asked.
"Yes Sir!" The Queen and orc said in tandem.
"Then back up to your corners and wait for the bell." He told them, pushing both of them to get them to separate from staring each other down. Sure enough they did as they were told and stepped back till they were each in a corner, still eyeing each other as the ref left the ring.
Finally a bell was struck and the match began.
