Chapter 3 - An loved one

North Carlaona Airport.

"In today's breaking news, Canada's prime minister had placed an emergency curfew in the western regions of Canada. The reason for Canada's emergency curfew is still unknown. But citizens of Canada say that it is because of recurring violent activity in the western area of Canada." Played the TV, that hug on the airport ceiling.

"Flight sixteen..." William mumbled as he hurriedly walked down the airport. "Oh, it's right here."

After showing his ticket to the flight attendant by the gateway, William quickly found his seat in the plane's economy section.

Although it was only a four-hour flight back home, William still wanted to get in as much sleep as possible since it was late into the night.

...

Los Angles, California, 0:51 am

When William finally got off the plane, he immediately walked towards the revolving conveyor belt to retrieve his suitcase.

Now outside the airport, William raised his hand for a taxi and started heading home.

It was a long ride home, and since he wasn't feeling tired, so he instead used the time to refamiliarize himself with his surroundings.

Lots of things had changed since he left a few years ago.

Thirty minutes later, William was dropped off at a two-story white house situated on a slope at Griffith park.

"Thank you," William said and tipped off the taxi driver. Then grabbing his suitcase from the trunk, the taxi quickly left to pick up the next passenger.

William sighed as he gazed up at the house before him.

He was finally home. After years of fighting in another country, William was finally home.

At the front door, William was about to ring the bell and was stopped himself.

It was past midnight, and he did not want to wake up his sleeping wife.

He had no keys and no hidden keys under some flower pot.

As a last resort, William scavenged his suitcase and brought out a lockpick. He didn't want to do this, but he also didn't want to disturb his wife.

From a neighbor's point of view, William would undeniably look like a burglar.

Just as William was about to open the door, it swung back.

A gorgeous woman in her late twenties stood before Willaim with a slightly angered expression. She was a few inches shorter than William, so she had to go through the trouble to look up at him.

Her grey hazel eyes locked firmly on William, along with her light-tinted lips in a shade of cherry, turned down into a frown. Clean, fair skin that wrapped neatly around her small face.

Her name was Hanna Kensy, wife to William Kensy.

"Say it." Hannah spoke with a clear expression that said, 'I'm pissed, y'know'.

"Say what?"

"Say that you fucked up.'

Hannah knew something must have gone wrong on William's side since William wasn't supposed to be home until next year.

With a pause, William spoke. "I fucked up... but it wasn't even my fault. It was my Co that fucked me over."

As William turned his eyes away from Hannah in shame, Hannah instead wrapped her arms around William to form a tight hug.

"I'm only glad that you're back and not in a casket," Hannah said in a slightly emotional tone.

"Ha..." William smirked and returned Hannah's hug.

"Alright, you can come inside," Hannah said as he hurriedly pulled William inside and took his suitcase. "It's too cold outside."

"A lot of things changed here," William commented after seeing as come furniture was moved around, coupled with things he never saw before.

"Yeah, I just got bored one day," Hannah said. "By the way, I have some leftover curry."

"Then I'll heat it up myself," William said while heading over to the bathroom to clean up. "You can get back to bed."

"No, I'm fine." Hannah declined Willaim's suggestion and sat on the kitchen table.

William stopped and turned around to face Hannah. "What's wrong?"

"Remember when I talked to you about having a kid?" Hannah suddenly asked, her thin lips turning into a rosy smile. "You can't refuse anymore since you're not in the army anymore."

What Hannah was saying was true. A year ago, Hannah was seriously considering having a child, but it was William who refused.

"Wait until I get out of the military." Was what William said to Hannah.

William's reason for saying this was that he didn't want to be stuck in the army while his child was born.

"Hannah..." William muttered, walking towards Hannah to sit with her. He then clasped her hands and stared into her eyes. With a single glance, William could feel the never-ending amount of love pouring out of her eyes.

"So, is that a yes?" Hannah asked enthusiastically, her smile brightening even more.

"Of course." William smiled.

"I love this side of you," Hannah said ever so charmingly while leaning over to meet lip-to-lip with William.

After a long and hot moment, Hannah broke off the kiss slowly, creating a little bridge of saliva.

"You like doing freaky shit like this, don't you.' William said with a little smirk on his face.

That night both shared a single room and a single bed. As a result, William was finally able to keep his promise to Hannah.
