She could say her maker was out to punish her for the rest of her life with the memories of the awful invents in her life. One of these memories was making her almost go crazy now. She moved away from the window when the glittering of the afternoon's sun couldn't ease the pain in her head.
She sat on her office chair and clung her hands tightly to the arms of the chair. The fact that she was a millionaire and the CEO of the Biling company, one of the top-notch companies in the whole city of Stardust didn't stop the memory from hunting her.
She stood immediately from her chair and increased the AC to help her cool her body. Still, she couldn't control it, it was there, making her lose focus on work.
She held her forehead, and the memory of what happened to her that day resurfaced in her mind. That day, her head was spinning, and she saw Rashuel thrashing towards her. The devilish look on his face hunted her.
The room was covered with darkness. Roselle felt her whole body burn because of all the beatings she had received from her so-called beloved husband. She couldn't believe that it was just today they wedded and she was receiving this kind of devilish treatment from her newly wedded husband.
Rashuel licked his lips for the tenth time and groaned deeply. "You are mine now. I'm sure you're enjoying every bit of it." He moaned shamelessly and stood.
"Rashuel, kill me instead, there is no need for you to torture me like this. I've had enough already!" Roselle screamed between tears. The pains between her legs crushed her body down to the last drop of blood in her veins.
Instead of her pleas to touch his heart, she saw Rashuel sniffle in the rough air as if doing this to her was the greatest thing he had ever achieved in his life. She saw his lips part in a sardonic smile which irked her more.
Roselle cried bitterly, shrieking away from him as he matched closer to her again. Roselle couldn't believe that she was so scared to death because of the man she had cherished and loved with her whole heart.
"No, no, no honey, not so fast." He smirked. "You are not going to die until you have signed the documents. Afterwards, I can send you to hell where you truly belong, where your father is, so that I can finally and fully enjoy your wealth peacefully." His horrendous laughter irked the walls of the room.
"You are the bastard Rashuel! You are the one who deserves to be in hell not me! I will not sign that document! I rather die than set my hand on that..." She had barely finished this statement when he smashed her face. He spat on the floor. Again, he began to laugh like a demon.
She felt the blood drain from her face, the metallic taste of blood coupled with the salty taste of sweat told her there was no point in holding on since she was not going to live after all. This was how her honeymoon turned out to be.
In the few months she had known him, she had trusted him, letting him know all her secrets and her weaknesses, and he was now using all of this to rip her off her wealth.
"I know you thought I loved you all this time. Sadly, I only loved your money. You can see that for yourself now. Maybe love was too blind for you to see that I never loved you, that was why you couldn't read the handwriting on the wall before now." Rashuel said, laughing his heart out to the fullest.
"Ah! I'm sure your family must be thinking you are enjoying your honeymoon to the fullest. Anyway, aren't you?"
Roselle remained silent not answering his stupid question. Immediately, he gripped her neck and growled. "Answer me!" He pierced his finger deep into her neck, the terror and the overwhelming hot sensation burned terribly on her whole body.
Roselle felt like her eyes were about to bug out. Her hands began to wave in the air fighting to hold Rashuel's hand that choked her.
She shivered, he was still retaining the tight grip on her neck, his devilish eyes bore into hers. He began to lift her through the grip on her neck. Roselle felt her head was surely going to burst with pain. She fought to cough, getting tired of fighting to loosen herself from his grip.
After satisfying his pleasure in torturing her more, he shoved her aside making sure she hit her head on the wall. Roselle whimpered holding her head with her hands. Her head heated with enormous pain.
He groaned, throwing the bed pillow he had suddenly picked at the wall angrily. He rushed towards Roselle and grabbed her head again, pressing her head against the wall, his eyes continued to flare in anger.
"You want to be tough huh?!" He pressed her jaw and she groaned in pain. "Let me see how far you can continue with this tough attitude of yours when I have revealed your sins to your uncle!" He yelled.
Roselle's eyes flew open, shocked at how he knew her secrets. "How did you…" She stuttered feeling the burn on her throat.
"Good, you think you can be all-wise?" Rashuel asked in a low tone like he never was angry some seconds ago. He loosened his grip on her neck and said, "Now, think of what would be the consequences of your action if you don't sign my sweet document, my pride and honour. Think of how your sister and mother will rot in jail for what their very good daughter did." Rashuel spoke with pride in his voice as he gesticulated.
"Don't you dare drag my sister and mother to this, they have nothing to do with what I did!" Roselle shouted watching his mockery laughter which invoked more anger in her.
"Roselle my darling, do you think your darling husband is so naive, they helped you to escape that very day, so that means they are guilty of the crime. Aiding a criminal is a crime you know?" He began to laugh again.
"Please, Rashuel I beg of you, leave them out of this, you can punish me all you want but don't touch a hair on their bodies!" Her pleading voice thundered at last.
"Alright ma'am, I heard you and I will not touch a hair on their bodies as you said," Rashuel said sarcastically and laughed so loudly.
Roselle couldn't think straight anymore, it was enough that she suffered the consequences of loving this man alone. She shouldn't drag her sister and mother into her foolish awful mistake. They were the only reason she had lived on in this life, they've always been there to support her.
'I can't let them suffer for what they did not do.' She thought. She knew at the back of her mind that Rashuel was going to do as he said. His cruel soul was always desperate and determined to get what he want no matter the cost.
"Fine, I will sign the documents" She blurted, feeling dead already.
Rashuel's eyes sparked immediately. "Good, I always know how to compel my sweet wife to do what I want." Rashuel grinned from ear to ear, shoving the documents to her face.
Roselle took the pen, her hand quivering at the death warrant she was about to sign. All her family had ever worked for was going to be taken in a blink of an eye by this demon.
"Good girl," Rashuel said sarcastically, tapping her cheeks teasingly after she had successfully signed the documents. He kept the documents safely aside.
"Let me go now Rashuel, I have fulfilled your wish" She glared daggers at him.
"Not so soon sweet wife. I told you I would send you to hell, and before I send you to hell, I want you to know this. Your mother and sister which I used to make you sign these documents are still going to rot in jail because of what you did. I won't tell you how I will do it, but you will find out in hell!"
"You are a demon! Don't you dare touch them Rashuel! I have given you what you wanted so don't go against your promise!" She hurled feeling stupid and used. She couldn't control her emotions anymore.
"Demons break promises, my sweet wife. No more talks darling, I'm going to send you to hell and before I do that, I would love to have the sweet taste of you some more!"
"Don't you dare touch me anymore! Ahh, No!" Roselle screamed.

Allow me to put this here my dear readers because this is what inspired me to write this story while listening to the song: Why did you leave me_ by Westlife and also reading this beautiful note below.
Someday, we will forget the hurt, the reason we cried and who caused us pain. We will finally realize that the secret of being free is not revenge but letting things unfold and their own time.
After all, what matters is not the first, but the last chapter of our life which show how well we ran the race.
The only way to learn forgiveness is to be betrayed. You might understand the intellectual concept of forgiveness, but you will truly learn how to forgive when someone has done something that requires you to love them and let go.
Life demands these hurtful experiences for you to learn how forgiveness feels, for you to feel that love again.
