Susan didn't understand when they said Derek wasn't responsible for the vampire's death because she saw him snap his neck, making the vampire dey up in an instant.
"But you ..."
"I know what you're thinking but honestly," Derek lifted his head and met her eyes. "...your blood killed him." He let out. She stared at him in confusion.
"Huh? My...blood?"
"Your blood, although alluring with it's fragrance, is highly toxic to lower level vampires. It's fragrance is sweet but it's taste is deadly." He lowered his head again. "It's the reason why 'that' happened! You're..." he paused.
Although Susan wasn't getting most part of it, she knew clearly that matters weren't as simple as they appear. She wanted to hear the end of it.
'Why did he stop talking? I want to hear more so I can understand this situation clearly' she thought while staring intently at Derek with curious eyes.
