Zarek, who had been feeling uneasiness for the whole day, knew something big was coming.
He could sense all the magical creatures around him, and even the fairies seemed scared about something.
He set out to see what was going on in the world.
As he traveled, he was shocked to see that a place that had once been so magically beautiful, full of animals, colorful plants, and happy fairies, had become so isolated and the plants were now burning red.
He couldn't understand how this could have happened. He knew that something terrible had occurred and he needed to find out what it was.
As he ventured deeper into the forest, he was ambushed by the second commander of the demon lord's army, the Master of Shadows, Arakh, and his army.
Zarek knew that he was no match for the powerful demon and his army, but he refused to go down without a fight.
He summoned all of his magical powers and began to unleash a barrage of spells and incantations upon the demons.
The fight was intense, with both sides using every trick and skill they had at their disposal. Zarek used his mastery of elemental magic to summon powerful winds and rains to slow down the demon's advance.
He also used his control over the earth to create barriers and traps to impede their progress.
Arakh, on the other hand, used his mastery of shadow magic to summon dark creatures and illusions to confuse and disorient Zarek.
The two battled for what felt like hours, each trying to gain the upper hand.
Zarek's spells and incantations were powerful, but the demon's army was relentless and seemed to have no end.
Finally, Zarek was forced to retreat, badly injured and barely able to stand.
He knew that he needed to escape and regroup, so he summoned a magical portal and fled through it, leaving the demons behind.
Arakh let out a maniacal laugh as he watched Zarek flee, knowing that he had won the battle. But he also knew that this was only the beginning, and that the real war was yet to come.
**********************
Orin was sitting beside his mentor, Zarek, who was lying on the bed, badly injured. He couldn't believe what had just happened.
Zarek had just arrived at his place, coming out of a magical portal, and told him about the rise of the demon lord and his army.
Orin knew about the demon lord, but he had never thought that the situation would become this dire.
"Master, what happened?"
Orin asked, concern etched on his face.
"I was ambushed by the shadow master, Arakh,"
Zarek replied, his voice weak.
"He and his army caught me off guard. I barely managed to escape through the portal."
Orin's heart sank as he listened to his mentor's story. He couldn't believe that the powerful sorcerer, Zarek, had been defeated so easily.
He wanted to know more about the demon lord and his army, but he knew that his mentor needed rest.
"Rest now, master,"
Orin said, placing a hand on Zarek's shoulder.
"We'll talk more about this later."
As Orin walked out of the room, he couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. He knew that he needed to prepare himself for the fight that was to come.
He had heard that a messenger from the castle had come to his place, asking him to lead the fight against the demon lord. But Orin had refused.
He didn't have any interest in playing war with the demon army. But seeing his mentor hurt badly, Orin then set his mind to revenge for Zarek.
And maybe the demon king can satiate his hunger for a great battle.
"Orin,"
Zarek called out, his voice weak.
"I know how do you feel, but you must do this. You're the only one who can defeat the demon lord. You're the most powerful sorcerer in the land."
Orin turned to his mentor, his eyes filled with determination.
"I'll do it for you, master. I'll defeat the demon lord and his army."
"I know you can," Zarek said, a small smile on his face.
"But be careful, Orin. The demon lord and his commanders are powerful beings. You must be prepared for the worst."
"I will, master,"
Orin said, determination in his voice.
"I won't let you down."
With that, Orin left the room, ready to face the demon lord and his army.
