Orin standing in front of a shimmering portal, a creation of his own magic.
He snapped his fingers and the portal opened, revealing a lush and extravagant kingdom, the home of the dragons.
Orin stepped through the portal and found himself in the presence of the wise white dragon, Puiteh.
"Orin, my old friend," Puiteh greeted him with a deep rumble.
"It's been too long since your last visit."
Orin grinned,
"I couldn't resist another game of chess with you, Puiteh. But it seems like you and your kingdom are in a rush. What's going on?"
Puiteh's expression grew serious,
"You haven't heard? The demon lord, Astaroth, and his army have risen and have been making demands for surrender from various kingdoms."
"Our kingdom was once part of the demon force, and now Astaroth demands our allegiance once again."
Orin's expression turned to one of confusion,
"I've never heard of this demon lord or his army before. All I know are the stories told to scare children at night, a myth."
Puiteh let out a sigh,
"Astaroth is a powerful and cruel being. He commands an army of demons, each with their own unique abilities and powers."
"They've been ravaging neighbouring kingdoms and it's only a matter of time before they come for us."
Orin's curiosity was piqued,
"Tell me everything you know about Astaroth and his army. I want to learn and know everything about them since I know nothing about them."
Puiteh nodded,
"I will tell you all that I know, Orin. But first, let us play our game of chess. It will give us both a chance to clear our minds before we discuss such heavy matters and hope this is not our last game."
Orin agreed and the two began their game, with Orin teasing Puiteh as usual but this time Puiteh was more focus on what he was going to say to Orin.
As they played, Puiteh told Orin everything she knew about Astaroth and his army, including their strengths and weaknesses, and how they had been able to conquer so many kingdoms with ease.
She also spoke of Astaroth's ultimate goal:
TO RULE OVER ALL THE REALMS AND HAVE ALL LIVING CREATURES BOW TO HIM.
"I see now why you and your kingdom are in such a rush," Orin said, deep in thought.
"But I still don't understand why Astaroth would want to conquer this kingdom. We have nothing of value to him."
Puiteh shook her head,
"The demon lord does not need a reason for his actions. He simply wants power and control. And we will not go down without a fight."
Orin stood from the chess board,
"I will help you and your kingdom, Puiteh. I want to put an end to this demon lord and his army before they can harm any more innocent lives."
Puiteh's eyes lit up with gratitude,
"Thank you, Orin. We will be honored to have you by our side in this battle."
Orin and Puiteh heard a loud bang, they immediately knew that the dragon kingdom was under attack. Puiteh quickly called her minions to report the situation.
Her minion, a young dragon named Calin, came back with the news that the demon lord's third commander, Sarak the giant, and his army had suddenly attacked the dragon kingdom.
Orin and Puiteh quickly made their way to the battlefield. The scene was chaotic, with dragons and demons fighting fiercely against each other.
But Orin was not fazed. He knew that this was the kind of battle he had always been waiting for.
As Orin entered the battlefield, he immediately made his presence known. He unleashed a powerful spell that sent a wave of energy through the battlefield, pushing back the demons and giving the dragons an advantage.
Sarak, who was leading the attack, was taken aback by Orin's sudden appearance and power.
Sarak and his army were no match for Orin. He easily repelled their attacks with his powerful magic. The demons were shocked and frightened by Orin's abilities.
They had never seen a mage as powerful as him before.
Despite the demons' best efforts, they were unable to defeat Orin. He was too strong for them.
Sarak, realizing that he and his army were no match for Orin, ordered a retreat. But before they could leave, Orin caught up to Sarak.
"You and your army are no match for me. But I spare your life, retreat now and tell your demon lord that I, Orin neither the Dragon Kingdom will not be defeated,"
Orin said, his voice filled with confidence and power.
Sarak, who was still in shock from the battle, could only nod in agreement.
He and his army quickly retreated back to the demon kingdom, leaving Orin and the dragon kingdom victorious.
After the battle, Orin and Puiteh sat down to talk about what had just happened. Puiteh was amazed by Orin's power and asked him how he had become so strong.
Orin smiled and replied,
"Well, let's just say I've been training a lot. I have a bit of a secret weapon, and I've also picked up a few tricks along the way."
Puiteh raised an eyebrow, "A secret weapon? Tricks? Do tell."
"It's a staff. A very powerful one, plus I've studied the ancient art of magic,"
"and I've also delved into the realm of alchemy. I've even dabbled in the forbidden arts." Orin replied, his eyes glinting with excitement.
Puiteh's eyes widened in surprise.
"The forbidden arts? Orin, you know those are dangerous. You could have put yourself in grave danger."
Orin shrugged.
"I knew the risks, but I was willing to take them."
Puiteh shook his head.
"You're a fool, Orin. But I suppose that's what makes you so interesting."
Orin and Puiteh laugh together.
"I will try to help you in any way I can. After this, I don't think we the dragon can still be with the demon. I don't even understand why they attack us. They just summon us to join them." Puiteh stressed.
"The dragon kingdom has a vast library of information. We can start there."
Orin grinned,
"I knew I could count on you, Puiteh. But I have somewhere to go first and you also have a thing that must be done."
Puiteh turn and look at all the mess happen because of Sarak attack. Orin smile and pat Puiteh shoulder. He then snap his finger and a black portal appear.
