Sarak paced back and forth in front of his army, his giant fists clenched tightly at his sides.
"How could you let yourselves be defeated by a mere human? Do you have any idea how much this will set us back? The demon lord will not be pleased."
His army cowered before him, none daring to speak up in their defence. Sarak sneered at them in disgust.
"You're all weak, useless. I should have never trusted you to take on this task."
He suddenly stopped pacing and turned his attention to one of his soldiers, a demon with horns protruding from his forehead.
"You, what's your name?"
The demon stammered,
"Y-Y-Your Excellency, my name is Piju."
Sarak sneered.
"Well, Piju, since you seem to be the only one with a backbone here, you will be the one to go back to Demon Lord and explain to him why we failed."
Piju 's eyes widened in fear.
"Your Excellency, I beg of you, please don't make me do that. I'll do anything, just don't send me to face the demon lord's wrath."
But Sarak was relentless.
"You should have thought about that before you let yourselves be defeated. Now, go and face the consequences of your failure."
Piju had no choice but to obey. He bowed his head and left to deliver the bad news to Astaroth, leaving Sarak and his army to lick their wounds and plan their next move.
Sarak knew that he had to come up with a plan to redeem himself in the demon lord's eyes. He couldn't let his defeat at the hands of a mere human be the end of his career.
He would stop at nothing to regain Astaroth's favor and prove his worth as a commander in his army.
The black magical portal opened with a loud whoosh, and out stepped Orin, a mischievous grin on his face. Sarak, the demon lord's third commander, and his army were taken aback by the sudden visit.
They were ready to attack Orin, but the memory of their humiliating defeat at his hands still lingered in their minds, making them hesitate.
"Yo, Sarak,"
Orin greeted, his voice filled with excitement.
"You're looking well."
Sarak's face twisted in anger and frustration.
"What do you want, sorcerer? Are you here to gloat over your victory?"
Orin's grin only widened.
"Not at all. I'm here to ask you a question. What happens if the seal that binds the you are destroyed? Will you become truly powerful?"
"How about Astaroth? He is too? or is there something else at play?"
Sarak's expression turned to one of surprise.
"How do you know about the seal?" he asked, his voice filled with suspicion.
"I know a lot of things,"
Orin replied, his voice filled with amusement.
"But that's not important right now. I want to know everything I asked. And how strong is the demon lord himself? Is it worth it? For me to fight him."
Sarak's face twisted into a sneer.
"Worth it?? You are nothing in front of him. You're about to find out, Mad sorcerer. And you'll regret that creepy smile on your face. You'll beg for mercy before I'm through with you."
Orin's expression turned serious.
"I'm not afraid of you, Sarak. I just wanna know the truth is."
"How strong Astaroth is?" Orin grin.
Sarak let out a harsh laugh.
"The truth is, sorcerer, that the demon lord and his army are more powerful than you can possibly imagine."
"We were once a force to be reckoned with, but the seal has weakened us. But once it's broken, we'll be unstoppable."
"As for the demon lord himself, he is the strongest of us all. He is a being of pure evil, with powers that are beyond comprehension."
"He is immortal and indestructible. He is a god among demons. You have no chance against him."
Orin's expression was one of determination.
"We'll see about that," he said, his voice filled with resolve.
"And what about the seal? How was it created and why is it still in place?"
Sarak sneered.
"The seal was created by the ancient ones, powerful beings that existed long before us."
"They feared our power and sought to contain it. The seal is still in place because it is the only thing that keeps us in check."
"Without it, we would be free to unleash our true power and wreak havoc on the world."
Orin looked at Sarak with overexcited.
"Hopefully, it will be a very very interesting one. Oh how I wish to fight with him now. But, I guess it can be wait now."
He then snap his finger and suddenly appear at the Sarak shoulder. Orin then whisper.
"Please wait for me, and I will destroy the seal that binding you all demon."
Orin suddenly shout. Looking at all demon.
"And after that, we can fight, battle, war or whatever you guys want. Just say it. I Orin will accept your challenge."
With that, Orin turned and stepped back through the black portal, leaving Sarak and his army behind.
Sarak let out a roar of anger and frustration as he realized that Orin was not going to be an easy opponent to defeat right now.
But Sarak also glad. If Orin does want to break the seal. He and other commander doesn't have to do it anymore. They can just focus on other thing.
And this is a good news for the demon army and their lord, Astaroth.
