Chapter 19 - Unlucky coincidence.

Clark tapped his feet impatiently. In his hand was a medium-sized plastic bag, some letters, as well as some important files that the Director requested from him earlier.

"Director, these are the documents that you need to sign, and this is today's schedule." Clark passed over the documents dutifully and continued, "Miss Sasha requested me to give it to you."

"Alright." Ryan waved his hand to signal Clark to leave.

Meanwhile, Sasha was deeply buried in work in the office. She kept working till she forgot she was supposed to have lunch.

Sasha sighed deeply when she saw what was left for food at the cafeteria.

"Sorry, you came late" One of the chefs at the cafeteria apologized to her when he saw her look like she was about to die of hunger.

"Miss Sasha!"

Sasha was slightly puzzled when Clark greeted her. She immediately sprang up to her feet and greeted him too.

Here, the Director said I should give it to you" His voice was low so only he should hear.

Sasha lowered her eyes to look at the bag in his hand. It was food, looking at the logo of the restaurant on the bag.

"Why?" She asked without reaching for the bag.

"Because he wants you to have it" Clark quickly dropped the food on her desk his eyes.

"Why. I mean What...?"

"Have it!" Sasha trailed off her words when Clark said before he rushed out like the wind.

Secretary Clark's action left Sasha completely stunned. She kept gazing at the pack of food. The delicious aroma wafting from it was making her stomach rumble frantically.

Jean put the coffee cup back on the table and said worriedly. "She is talking with some banks. But I don't think it will work."

"Yes... No one is making an offer to buy the gallery. It will close down soon." Nolen said with a long face.

With an uneasy gaze, Jean said, "We have a capable heiress. I heard she has a successful career abroad. It is better to sell it off to anyone who offers to buy it and live her life in peace."

Nolan rubs his chin. "Gosh! I had a job offer from Zest Gallery. I should've taken that. I trusted the director and stayed. Look at the mess I am in now."

"You guys are unbelievable." Katherine frowned in displeasure. "If you have a heart, you shouldn't say such things." She rubbed her eyebrows.

------

It was 1:15 PM the eyes of a few customers were glued to the scene taking place right in the middle of the gallery.

"You borrowed my money and it's time that you pay me back."

"Come out! Come out!."

Fatigue swarmed Anna almost instantly at the sight of men rolling and tossing on the ground like a kid throwing a tantrum.

"Give it back! Give it back!".

The man raised his voice. "Did you think I can just pull money out of a hat? Come out."

"What is going on?." Came a cold chilling voice from behind, totally startling the protestors. Anna balled her hand into a fist, as she took one step closer to them.

Sean dusted his clothes as soon as he heard the voice.

"You..." He muttered inaudibly. Sean's eyes nearly popped out of their socket. His lips move but no words come out.

-------

"I don't believe that I ran into you here." Anna smiled awkwardly and continued, "What a strange fate we have!."

"Do we know each other? I never met a person called Anna Hart in my life." Sean said as he stared keenly at Anna.

With a calm look, Anna pursed her lips. "Mr Wesley, I'll explain..."

"Gosh! I can't take this anymore." Sean sneered loudly. "Why do you act like we know each other? Do we have something special? Do we have a relationship or something?".

Anna turned her face away and fell silent.

"Let me make this clear." Sean rolled up his sleeves. "I am your creditor. You, my debtor. That's all there is to it. Got that?." He kept his burning gaze on her.

"Did you see what I did back there? I can be merciless and brutal when it comes to money." Sean then got up. "So don't try to squirm out of this by pretending like we're close. Just pay the money when I am nice." Sean warned.

Raising her head, Anna asked, "Mr Wesley, Can you give me some time? I have some problems."

"That's none of my business. I lent you money and I'm intending to get every single penny back. So sell your house, painting or any of your organs." Sean spat out of his gritted teeth.

Anna clenched her fists even harder, her nails digging into her palm painfully.

"If you don't listen to me. I'll set this place on fire." With that Sean flung the door closed with a loud bang.

As tears clouded Anna's eyes, she looked at the disappearing back of the man.
