Chapter 8 - Countryside Manor.

Anna Hart showed up at the entrance of the restaurant, decked out in a simple blue long dress, with little makeup on her face.

Anna Hart who was currently being a stand-in as her friend heard a deep airy voice calling her friend's name.

"Yes...Mr. Wesley" Anna nervously looks up. The man looked like he was around thirty to thirty-two in age and he wore a fitting, tailor-made black suit that accentuated his towering figure.

"Hello, Ms Stone. I am Sean Wesley. I run this restaurant". The man held out his hand with a faint smile on his face.

Anna shook his hand out of courtesy and returned the smile. "Likewise. You can call me Diana. I work in Museum as a curator". Anna felt funny when she introduced herself as someone else.

She peeked up between her eyelids, seeing the man having an uncaring expression, languidly taking a seat.

"What are you ordering, Ms Stone?" Sean asked Anna as she received the menu from the waiter.

"Mr Wesely, Why don't you introduce me to your special menu?" Anna asked.

Sean nodded and called someone. Soon a chef arrived at the table with a cart of food. The food was perfectly arranged on the table and the mere sight of it made Anna salivate.

After displaying the array of gorgeously plated meals, the chef was about to introduce the meal when Sean dismissed him.

"Thank you," Anna said as she picked up a spoon.

She took a mouth full of the pasta and her eyes flew wide open.

"It's very delicious!" Anna spoke in disbelief. "I know why your restaurant is so famous." Anna added.

Concealing the glee in his eyes, Sean uttered, "Thank you. I am glad that Ms Stone liked our special menu".

A silence hung between them. Anna was even more awkward as the minutes passed.

Tilting his head slightly at her, Sean broke the silence. "So, you arrived today?."

"Yes. I arrived today's morning." Anna put on a smile.

Sean swirled the wine in his glass and gazed at Anna. "You booked your ticket for the first-class seat?"

"No. Economy-class seat" Anna said with an innocent expression.

"Good choice! First-class seats are just expensive. They're not different from economy-class seats. You can buy that Russian pig with that money instead. That's more profitable. Wait! How many bowls..." Sean paused when he noticed the awkward smile on Anna's face.

"Don't mention Russian Pig!" That's his mental note.

"What's wrong, Mr Wesley?" Anna asked when Sean was dazed with a blank expression.

"Nothing!" Sean pushed a superficial smile.

A silence hung between them again. Anna opened and closed her mouth multiple times as she was unsure how to broke the silence.

She gathered her thoughts and asked, "So, Mr Wesley, Do you like art?"

"Art...?" Sean paused. Slowly focusing his gaze back on Anna. "Of course, Who doesn't like art?."

A light gleamed in Anna's eyes. "What type of painting did you like?"

Sean cleared his throat dryly. "I don't have any preferences". Just as he was in deep thought, Anna surprised him by saying, "Mr Wesley, If you have time, why don't we visit Museum some other day? I will show you around".

Sean trained his gaze on her small face. "Waoh! That seems like a date".

"Huh?" Anna blinked her eyes. She suddenly laughed out loud surprising Sean.

Her hazel eyes resembled whirlpools that were capable of sucking in his soul. His heart galloped as he gazed into her eyes.

"From the first time I saw you...Mr.Wesley seems like an interesting person." Anna covered her mouth and continued laughing.

Sasha refreshed herself and lazily lolled on her bed.

"What do you mean, Jennifer?" She snapped over the phone.

"I already talked with Ryan. You can take leave for three days. We're going to our countryside manor to have fun". Jennifer's excited voice sounded over the phone.

Sasha merely knitted her brows together. "Jenni, Listen to me! I just join.... "

"Whatever! I will come to pick you up tomorrow" Jennifer cut her off. She hung up without waiting for Sasha's reply.

The next morning Sasha went downstairs and felt shocked when she saw James Carson.

Sasha was clad in a white top and black jeans. Her hair was tied up in a bun. She also had light makeup on.

James could see Sasha's expression freeze. His eyes flashed in annoyance, his brows knotted in a deep frown. "What's wrong with your expression?".

Sasha couldn't help but chuckle at his words. "Right! What's wrong with my expression?".

Upon arriving at their destination, the car rolled to a stop. Both of them got off the car.

"Sasha Jones! Welcome" Jennifer squealed excitedly and hugged her. "Let's go inside!" Jennifer dragged her in.

Meanwhile, Ryan seemed to have spotted Clark entering the room, he slightly bent forward. The white shirt and black suit revealed the outline of his strong muscular body.

"Ryan Shore! Don't bring your assistant. Bring a woman!" Mathew casually extinguished his cigarette in a nearby bowl.
