His Daddy had helped him set it up before bedtime yesterday. They'd even coloured pieces of paper in wave-like effects and taped them to the bottom of the ship to mimic the sea.
He'd always know having a Daddy, a real Daddy, would be amazing, but even still, the lengths Angel would go to make him happy still surprised him.
/"No bekfust,/" Lucien denied, snuggling deeper into his Daddy's arms. /"Wanna be a piwute. I be a piwute?/"
/"Sure, boy/" his Daddy promised. Lucien loved the way his voice sounded. Low and deep, a husky drawl that had a coarseness to it. It was distinctive and matched his large frame. Even Raven didn't sound exactly the same. It was similar, to the point that Lucien almost hadn't noticed any difference, but not exactly the same.
/"I be a piwute now, Daddy?/" he asked sweetly, tilting his head up to him. He loved his Daddy's face as well as his voice.
