/"So what do you think?/" Lucien asked when Joel excused himself to go to the bathroom. He'd agreed to stay for dinner. /"He's great, isn't he?/"
/"Sure./" Dropping a kiss on his baby boy's head, taking the opportunity to lay one on his mouth while it was in his vicinity, Angel laid the other man's nerves to rest. Lucien hadn't aired it, but he knew how important it had been to him that they liked each other. /"He's the kind of guy I could make time for./"
Which was bold considering they'd only just met, but instincts were good things, and they needed to be relied on sometimes. But from what he'd seen of him so far, he wasn't a pushover, and he wasn't about to bite his tongue just for the sake of keeping peace or making nice. Angel could respect that.
