As Angel mulled over the odd text message Ronan had sent, the words twizzling around his head like a cheerleader's pom-pom routine, he tried, and failed, to pay attention to the t.v screen.
Something drastic must have happened. Lucien's hands were covering his eyes and the music had risen to a dramatic climax. The film was almost over, but for the life of him, he couldn't recall what had happened. Hell, he couldn't even say what the film was about.
He was trying to pay attention, but his thoughts had thrown on their walking shoes and were steadily raking up the miles.
/"Daddy,/" Lucien whispered, his fingers parting, those congenial green eyes peering out from behind the gaps. /"Can we pause?/"
