Chapter Seventeen
Days passed, and Liam continued to get stronger. I intended for Liam to sleep for a couple more days, but he didn't need that at all.
He was up before dawn, worked around the clock, and went to bed way past midnight. I followed him around like a lap dog, noting his eyes, complexion, hair, muscles, and gait changes.
I was eager and excited by the changes I saw in Liam, yet anxious that side effects would manifest at any time.
After one week, I sent a detailed report to Dr. Robinson, who called me immediately.
"Emilia. This is incredible. I've never seen anything like this in a human being." I could hear his deep-throated laughter from the other end of the phone.
There was no surgeon who wouldn't appreciate the extent to which science had gone to remove weak, ill cells and replace them with healthy cells.
I explained to him how I had done my own experiments to confirm the genetic changes and how Liam became stronger and looked younger without any side effects.
