Chapter Nineteen
As usual these days, Liam was up before me. He planted a quick kiss on my lips and said, "I feel so energetic this morning, I must have a swim."
"Oh," I felt a wave of excitement and jumped up, but one glance from Liam and I leaned back into the bed and tried to feign calmness.
"Liam, can you at least count how many laps you swim before you feel tired enough to rest or stop?"
"Emilia, I am not a genie pig."
I raised wide eyes at Liam, and he smiled, shook his head, and gave me a long kiss before he walked out of the room.
"For you, though, I'll try"
I stood there admiring his well-filled out body, and his lithe and firm muscles, knowing no one would believe this human had been suffering from cancer only a month ago.
