Chapter Twenty-Two
Liam lifted me effortlessly and carried me across the hall to our bedroom. All the while, my arms were around him, and my lips didn't leave his.
He used his foot to slam the door behind us, and carried me across the room, then put me gently down on the bed.
When Liam pulled off his shirt, I gasped at how beautiful he was. His body tone was perfect, and his skin was smooth and tanned the right shade.
I was frozen for a moment, wondering if this was all still the regeneration, but I shook myself back. I had promised that Liam would be a person to me from now on and not a specimen.
I was done with playing with human cells.
"I love you, Liam. I'm sorry I got carried away by all of this."
"Shhhhh… it's alright, darling."
