Chapter 21 - 21 Hate is a Strong Word

"Do you remember me?" The creature smiled with yellow crooked teeth.

"No and even if I did I would wish I hadn't. You look like a rabid boiled hairless cat. I'm sorry but if I had to remember I think I would get nightmares." Wen deadpanned. He really wasn't in the mood. He was still sour from being left behind, cursing the monster for injuring him.

He was about to open his mouth to continue but the creature lunged at him on all fours.

It was surging with rage, it knew it was ugly but nobody has ever had the heart to say it to it's face. Anger clouded any rationality the monster last contained and at that point, the monster really became monsterous.

It snarled, sending a fleck of acid spit in Wen's direction which he blocked with his sleeve. It burned through the coarse poorly made fabric, sending a burning smell into the room. Wen stood up weakly, sharp pains filled his chest. He knew he had just agitated the monster but he couldn't help himself. The monster was going to eat him sooner or later so he just helped it on that journey.

"Stay still!" The monster growled, its voice was so far from human that nobody would be able to believe it was speaking a human language.

"If you want me, come and catch me! I don't sell myself for free." Wen taunted, sticking out his tounge. The monster was definetly faster than him, especially since he was injured but he still decided to keep on taunting as if his life was a joke.

The creature made a low growl again and lunged at the man but Wen dodged it, causing the creature to smack, head first, into the hard wall. It made a crack noise and when the creature finally came too, Wen could see that it had lost it's front teeth.

He cringed, reaching out a hand to pat the creature's shoulder but pulled back at the last minute. "Sorry, you're already so hideous and I just made it worse."

They looked at Wen like he was stupid. It's nose was also bleeding, letting yellow colored blood drip on the floor and roll down it's distorted face. "Ya think?", It glared. The knock to the wall made it regain some of it's senses apparently. "Also, just? Last time you literally stabbed me in the eye!"

It took Wen a moment and the monster stared at him as Wen regained his thoughts. "Ohhh, Now I remember you."

"Ugh, finally! I swear to your dead body that I'll kill you."

"Hehe. Funny of you to assume that I'll just stay still and let you kill me." Wen walked out the room leaving the creature dumbfounded.

"Tch." The creature followed after the man. It had to duck to leave the room, if not, it would hit his poor head again. The creature turned it's head to see the man not far down the hall. He was a good distance away for someone who had been injured.

The creature ran up to him. It's heavy running alerted Wen and he turned around in suprize. It was to fast for Wen to react quick enough and he was so suprized by how loud the creature was when it walked that he forgot to react and so he was knocked down.

His head hit the floor but that wasn't his main problem. His side hit the floor as well, shooting pain up his body causing his breath to hitch. He could feel stale blood crawl it's way up from the bottem of his neck.

His hands were pinned down to the floor by the creature's cold fist and the creatures heavy hot breath sucked away any oxygen he had left. Not that he had any after he got pushed down in the first place. "Man-" He managed to let out.

The creature immediately went in for the bite, ready to end the mans whole career. Wen didn't struggle when he saw the creature lean in, he didn't do it out of suprize, nor did he freeze out of fear. He was a shameless man and if that didn't save him then oh well. "Bitting on the neck? That's kinky-"

The monster looked up and looked at Wen in distress. "I really hate you."

"Alot of people do, you're not special." Wen free'd his hands from the monsters lax grip and rubbed his red wrists. They were imprinted with handprints.

"Tch-, I really want to strangle you!"

"Then do it." Wen smirked. It was strangely satisfying to Wen to see the creature frustrated. The creature pouted and huffed, it clearly wasn't going to try to kill Wen any time soon. 'If the man wants to die then I won't want to do him a favor.'

"I'd rather keep you alive and torture you, but you'd probably enjoy that too."

"Fair enough." Wen stood up. His injury was much worse and now his side was really getting on his nerves. He wanted to rip it out. He sucked in a cold breath and pinched himself out of the pain.

The creature gave him a confused look but it stayed silent, watching the man walk away. The way he walked seemed as if he was trying to make it seem like he wasn't in pain and it was working, but not well enough if anyone looked too close.

The monster stood up and followed the man. They continued for a while before it finally questioned why it was following the one it was suppose to be killing in the first place. It stopped in it's tracks which alerted Wen causing him to turn around. "Why'd you stop?"

"Eh, I'm just questioning why I'm following you." It retaliated in an exasperated tone.

They both paused and stared at each other shortly before a scream pierced through the air. Wen winced at the loud noise, clenching his teeth so tight that veins popped up on his neck. The scream sounded somewhat like Ethan's voice but at the same time, their was something inhuman about it. Something... ominous.

Wen ran down the hall in the direction the scream came from. He knew it was stupid but he couldn't help himself.

He felt his ribs crumble every time his foot hit the floor but he suppressed the pain.

Sliding to a stop, his eye's met the sight of crimson. It painted the walls and the three figures in the room. Well mostly three, the tallest one, the weird creature, remained strangely untouched.

It looked at Wen when he entered and smiled. "Welcome, Have you come to see the show as well?"
