His expression had reminded Alishka of a certain someone.
~~~(T^T)~~~
The friends had been attached by the hip. Nothing could separate them, until this day. The friend's had been in an argument that morning for something unknown to everyone. Seeing one of the friends alone had everyone who knew them questioning.
It made a certain someone inexplicably furious. They didn't understand why everyone had to assume that just because two people were friends weren't together for one day, had split up.
That friend had kept trying to communicate to them as well. Trying to say sorry. In fact, they were knocking on the dorm room just now. The sound had stopped after a while, which gave the person relief, but they couldn't relieve the pain in their heart for running away.
It just felt so wrong.
The person looked down at their abused wooden desk. The desk was sratched by pen markings and turmeric stained the grooved wood an orange tinge. The markings included alot of words and smiley faces, yet the most prominent score was one that read "Alishka + Kore".
The persons eyes began to tear up knowing what that meant. The memories began to fill their head, from the first time they met, to the time they wrote this on the desk, to just yesterday, when they had gotten icecream together at the park. Knowing that they pushed them away for some silly mistake made them want to run to Kore and apologize, to just take them back.
The knocking sounded again. "Alishka..., Alishka I'm so sorry. Please. It was an accident."
The voice that spoke was so beautifully painful to Alishka. It was like a hum to their ears which entranced them, drawing them closer to the closed door. It was only the door that separated the two from seeing eachother. They reached out for the door handle but the coldness of the metal shocked them, bringing them out of their preceeding actions.
They pulled back as if they touched a hot stove. It infuriated them so much that they could only let needle like words spill out of their glossed lips. "But you weren't sorry when you decided to do that, right? What gives you the right-"
Alishka cut themselves off before they could say anymore that they could regret. The hope for rekindling their relationship was something Alishka didn't want to diminish by their own actions. Afterall, words are a double-edged sword.
They could already hear the affect their words had on the following party. They heard the weeping of a soft voice. "A-Alishka, please!" The sobs broke through, muffled by the door. "I'm sorry, it was all my fault and I hurt you. Please!"
Alishka really wanted to cut off their own ears, to stop the horrid sounds of the girls voice. Anger surged through them whenever they heard the girls pain. The pain they caused. They didn't even know whether they were angry at Kore, for what happened. The situation currently. Or... themselves, for being so inexplicably stupid for hope, or stupid for being so venerable that this would happen to them... or angry that they hurt their best friend. They hurt Kore.
The anger inside them was so hard to control. It was almost burning their skin and it began to be hard to breath. 'Another panic attack? No, please not now. I have to be strong.' The thoughts ran through their mind.
Yet no matter how hard they pleaded with their brain, they just couldn't calm down. They began to choke and sufforcate on their anxiety and anger. The burning feeling inside began to expand outside aswell, making them fall to the floor with a thud.
The only thing that could escape the anger lodged in their throat was a shrill scream. A scream that sounded less than human. Like a monster.
The door opened, they heard it but they were too lost in their own burning pain to notice. Another shrill scream sounded in the room, but this time, it wasn't from their throat. It came from their friend. Or atleast, the one who was their friend.
Kore's single lidded eyes widened at the sight of their ex friend writhing on the floor. Their body was in a weird position and it seemed as if their skin was bubbling. The sight that reflected in Kore's black eyes left her speachless.
"Alishka! What happened-" She ran to Alishka's side only to be pushed back. It was the only thing Alishka could do while coupling with the pain. Everytime Kore would get close, Alishka would hold them back.
Alishka burned with shame, only increasing the anger they felt within. They were embarrassed being seen with such an unsightly appearance. Embarrassed that the friend they refused to reunite with and hear out still had the guts to stay with them through such a hard time. It was shameful. What type of person would chase away the person who cared about them the most!
Alishka cried. They cried for Kore, for themselves and for the broken friendship. The cried for a long time, until the pain subsided. Only then did the hot tears stop their traffic.
They had cried so hard that they had forgot to keep pushing Kore away and so when they finally came to, they found themselves entangled in Kore's embrace. The girl was weeping into Alishka's shirt, causing the white uniform shirt to adopt a dark wet patch.
Alishka wanted to relieve the girl of her worry and sorrow, and so, they finally embraced their inner conflict and weakly wrapped an arm around her. Kore's voice hitched when she felt Alishka's touch against her back and she bawled harder. It gave Alishka the opposite effect of what they wanted.
"Stop crying, your going to make me cry again." Alishka croaked, feeling the tears threaten to spill out their sore eyes.
"I-i'm so- orry" Kore wailed through her tears. She sniffed back the snot that had already tainted Alishka's school uniform, messing up the logo, which read 'PoLin - All Girl'.
Seeing this, Kore tried to rub the snot out, only producing the opposite effect. Infact the move was very intimate because the logo was right over Alishka's flat chest.
Alishka grabbed the girls wrist. "It's ok. I forgi-"
Suddently the ground shook violently, making the room feel as if it was being jostled around in a crowd. Kore gripped tightly onto Alishka's clothe. "W-Whats happening!?!?"
Alishka struggled to get the words out, they felt as if their's throat was on fire again and they feared it was another panic attack. The pain, the fear... the hunger...
What a strange panic attack...
