All of us are here, right?" Labcoats smooth voice rang through their preoccupied minds.
"No sh*t."
They all sighed in relief. It looked like what ever was outside wasn't one of them... wait... but then...
"If it wasn't one of us then... who was it?" The three exchanged expressions, staring at the door with uneasy expressions. The knocking didn't sound again but it left the group on edge the first time and no one wanted to test to see if someone was actually behind the door.
"Just ignore it. If we ignore it, it will go away." 'Unlike my unending anxiety.' Wen spoke in confidence. The rest nodded as if his words were common sense but their nods were laced with worry.
The banging came by harsher this time, someone was getting impatient. It sounded as if the mystery person hiding behind closed doors wanted to break it down. I mean, the door wasn't even locked. Are they even trying?
Wen pushed labcoat in almost a teasing manner. He clearly wasn't taking this situation seriously. "Labcoat go, I'm sure their here to see your glorious face, otherwise, why would they even bother."
Labcoat rolled his eyes and stepped towards the door. "Do you have any sense of danger?"
L lifted up the metal plate blocking the doors window and peaked through. The lights were out outside and because of this, L couldn't really see anything outside. "The lights are out, I can't see anything."
"So were trapped in this room?"
"Who said that?" L asked curiously while pulling out a knife.
"Where-" Ethan spoke.
"Can I get one, too?"
L shot him a look, giving Wen his answer. He slowly opened the door, letting the light from inside the room flow outside. The floor was covered in a dark liquid that L couldn't really make out but assumed was blood because of the smell. He poked his head out and looked both ways yet it was to dark to see.
A heavy presence came from behind his back. There was nothing outside right now but what if he just let it in. He panicked and turned around almost slashing Wen with the knife.
"Uh... dude. I like my life, thanks."
"Then stay back."
L saw both of them stare at him with unreadable expressions. They both seemed to be horrified expressions, though. "?"
L turned around to see a tall person dressed in a trench coat. The top half of them was hidden by the light and long black hair poured around them, making the whole situation seem more ominous.
"Hello." The person smiled with white teeth, the only thing the group could see in their dark silhouette.
"Im sorry, we don't need free real estate." L closed the door apologetically. The person shoved a booted foot in before it could close fully, making the door jerk. The boot was covered in dark crimson splotches and left a red stain on the floor where they stepped down.
Long bony grey fingers slid in, wrapping around the corner of the door before pushing it open. L felt a sense of dejavu from this moment. Why was it that he was always wrestling with doors?
"Stab! Use the knife!"
"Wait-" The shady person who was holding the door spoke, their voice sounded fearful and weary. "My friend is injured. Can you please help us?"
"... No." L and Wen spoke simultaneously. L pulled up the knife and stabbed it into the persons hand but the knife cracked in half. The other half went flying somewhere and it left L momentarily shocked.
"Tch-" The person pushed the door. Much to L's dismay, they were strong. His feet began to slide back as the door was pushed against him. Wen went up to help L push yet even with Wen helping they weren't able to do much. Ethan could only sit there and watch, he still couldn't move his arms and legs so he was completely useless.
"When this is over I'm giving us exersize lessons. We should not be this weak."
With every little struggle, the more the door opened, until the tall person was finally able to enter, ducking their head under the top of the door and stepping in. They gave the door one more spitful push, sending both Wen and L tumbling on their butts.
They stood up allowing their black haired head to head grazed the top of the ceiling. Thier curtain bangs blocked the top half of their face, only allowing up to nose and below to be shown.
They ignored the other two humans who had been pushed to the side and stared straight at the man on the floor. Ethan was crawling himself into a corner meanwhile the person took calculative steps forward.
The person had tilted their head to the while analysing him, giving Ethan a glance at what was beneath the thick black sheet covering the top half of their face.
This person had no eyes.
