Chapter 9 - Trials (pt 2)

Adrienne gazes down at the red hair woman sprawlef before nhim, she looked too small and tattered. Her face and body was swollen up with bruises and scratches, and her hair ragged up. She was dirty, smelling like the dead rats in the cell, he could see the opened flesh on some parts of her body and noticed her crying and wincing sounds of pain but he didn't care, couldn't care! they did well hurting her in a good way before he came. She had been lucky he listened to Gydrin about calming down if not, she will more than dead now, a dead corpse would be better than her.

He breathe out a slow, sharp air from his nose, his lungs had been killing him with a knife stabbing air as he teleported there and bargged into the room. He kept thinking that he was told a lie, he hoped it was but Syria never joked and the woman in front of him proved what he heard too. He bent down towards her and looked at her, he could feel her shivering from the slight distance between them, her eyes avoided his as she looked shocked, perhaps she must have heard of him before coming here and yes what ever she heard should make her feel more than fear, because he will more than deal with her. He tilted his head the the right trying to get her gaze but she hid it from him, he raised his hand to reach out for her jaw and he got it, turning her face to him, she still avoided to look at him whilst shaking in pure fear, her freezing body vibrated like the ground ready for an earthquake and he liked it that way, he smirks at the pleasing fear.

"Look at me!" he deep dark voice chants at her but she didn't comply, he frowns at her stupid stuborness and squeezes her jaw, she breathe out harshly as she closed her eyes in pain and yells in agony.

"Ahhhh!l! please, stop it!" she cries out, he was crushing her jaw, he could even hear the cracks of the bone, tears streams down her eyes in pains but he didn't care, right there, at that moment he was enjoying her pains.

"I said, look at me!" he said again gently but it sounded deadly, the girl had no choice, straighten her head forward, she opened her eyes and looked at him, her blue eyes shook seriously and the and the white of her eyes were red from too much crying. He smiles at her, a dangerous smile that signified anger.

"So, your the one that killed my wife to be right?" he emphasis the word 'fiancee' to her

"I didn't mean to! I swear on my mother's grave please let me go!" screams her cracked up voice

"But you did, didn't you?" he sighs as he smirks viciously at her, her tears flows like water falls on her face. He enjoyed the fear and distress she was feeling but he wasn't satisfied yet, he trails his long fingers on her clawed cheek. She flinches in pain and hissed as the tip of his fingers came in touch with the flesh underneath her outer skin, it stung her like a needle was being pricked there.

"Where's the body?" he asked out loud.

"Here, it's here" Arminthe answers with a savage smile across her face. They brought the body which was laid on a white stretcher, Adrienne could still inhale her faint scent of spring and flowers mixed with blood, meaning she was recently killed, he rage burned him up like never before as he tried to control it because he knew that if he lost control, no one would be in this room. He grasped the girls ragged hair and rose her up in speed, the girl shouts out in pain as she couldn't bear the torture anymore. He dragged her forward like she was a heavy sack even though she weighs nothing in his hands, she was like a twig he could break without breathing. They went forward and reached Terisan's body, he could help but feel terrible at that moment for his love, he could see her cold lifeless body laying still on the stretcher, her green sleeveless blouse was stained with blood from her chest, which had a white arrow in it, right where her heart rested. He pulled it out and gazes at the white ash arrow his hand trembles in guilt, pain what could he call it? he didn't know, he turned his head to his right where he held the girl still but hard through her hair and his mind became unstable, his hand pushed her forward and with shaky legs, the girl face collided with the coprse own.

"Look at what you have done, you tell me that you didn't mean it but she ended up dead, why should I believe you?"he dark voice asked.

She stayed still not saying anything and he himself didn't want any answer from her because it won't spare her from his wrath and fury. He went close to Terisan's body and pulled out the white ash arrow gently from her chest where it stood straight and turns to Poppy, strolling to her, he twirled the arrow in his fingers, he bent down before her and continued.

"It was a mistake, but you used an ash arrow and aimed directly at her chest, you must be really funny!" he drawls, lifting her up through her hair again, he stabs the arrow in the left side of her stomach she yells in agony as the piercing went in too deep. He pushs her and she rolled on the chilly floor in pains, he could see her eyes rolling back in dizziness, she could faint any moment from now but he didn't want that to happen yet, the court was cheering for him to continue, he could sense the devious smiles on Arminthe and Syria faces. He walked towards the girl sprawled like a corpse on the chilly floor and gripped her neck tight, he moved closer to her ear and whispers.

"You haven't seen torture yet!" and then he placed his hand spaces away from her face, suddenly, his tan hand turned into an obsidian black with visible black veins and a spiral appear on his palm. A black shiny snake came out of it and the girl's eyes widens in fear, she held his strong hand on her neck trying to free herself but it proved useless,

'Open your mouth wide' she heard a steel, icy voice in her mind coaxing her gently yet harshly to open her mouth for the snake but when she refused, her brain became a fog and all she could do was to open her mouth as wide as he wanted.

"Stop!" Gydrin thunders as he storms into the courtroom.

"Adrienne, don't hurt her anymore I need to talk to you..." he whispered to Adrienne in his ear, "right now!" as he cut Arminthe glare at him, Adrienne frowns at him but follows him outside.

"What's the problem, I'm busy!" Adrienne urgently asked as Gydrin teleports them to another room.

"Adrienne, you're hurting the wrong person."

"What do you mean by that?!" Adrienne almost yelled out the statement, Gydrin could only look at him as what he had figured out would weigh him down.

"Tell me!" Adrienne voices out impatiently.

"She's the one, the one the eye told us about. She's the Protector!"
