Soon, the companions arrived in a forest. They walked through the forest chatting happily. It was dark by the time they reached the centre of the forest.
"We'll camp here for the night" Geed said.
"Yeah, the last time we camped around, we nearly ended up snake food" Alice reminded.
"And that…if I remember was your decision too" Taros added.
"Yeah well, even leaders make mistakes" Geed defended himself.
"Even fatal ones?" Diane asked.
Soon they arrived at a clearing.
"This looks like an ideal spot" Geed said.
So they made a fire and had a silent meal. Soon, the five point star constellation appeared in the Sky.
"It's said that as long as the Five Point Star burns brilliantly in the Night Sky, the Spirits remain alive in us" Geed said.
"Hey guys, I just realized that this day is my birthday" Alice said.
"Hey, you too, today's my birthday too" Diane said.
"Wow, that's amazing, it's mine too" Damian said.
"I know this'll sound weird but it's mine too" Taros said.
"And mine" Elaine agreed.
"Geed?" everyone asked eagerly.
"I don't have a birthday" Geed said.
"Don't be silly, today must be your birthday as well since all the Magi seem to be celebrating their birthdays today" Alice said.
"Yeah right" Geed said in sarcasm.
"I'm serious" Alice said.
"The day I call my birthday is the day I lost everyone I loved. Romanus fell, Canine…died. I don't want to remember" Geed said.
"Geed, I know how hard it might seem. It was the day I was sealed inside the Golem but that doesn't make it any less special than it is" Diane said.
Alice came and sat beside Geed. She looked at him for a while and then she slipped her hand into the pouch containing the gems.
"Alice? What are you doing?" Geed asked.
Alice pulled out the Fire Gem, then she took Geed's hand and placed it on the Gem.
"Geed, when friends love each other the way you loved Canine, you never lose each other no matter what. Canine may be gone but his love for you remains. It will never leave you as long as you don't let it die" Alice said and put the gem back into the pouch.
Geed smiled.
"Thanks guys, I'm feeling better" Geed said.
Suddenly, five lights from the Star shone on the friends. A red light shone on Alice, brown interlaced with green on Diane, sea blue on Elaine and cloud white on Damian. A golden light shone on Geed and as the friends watched in wonder, the gems rose from the pouch and entered the light where they were slowly transformed.
"Magi, you have done well to unite all four elemental gems but your quest is far from over. Your quest must continue from here into the realms of Light and Darkness where the last two elemental gems remain. A great evil is awakening, one that will lead this world into Chaos. You must stop the Darkness and know that we're always in you" the Spirits said.
And with that they transformed back into gems and entered the companions.
"Taros, guide the Magi with your Wisdom, you are their Pathfinder. Elaine, heal them with your purity, you will be their Spirit Guide. Diane, reveal to them hidden secrets, you will be their Earthbreaker, Alice, symbol of courage, you become their Fire Starter, Damian, symbol of Quest, you inherit your father's will as the new Windlasher and for you Geed, you will become the Golden Magi, prince of the Five Point Star" the Spirits spoke from within them transforming their clothes.
Geed gained a golden tunic with a golden belt and brilliant white headband. Alice received a red tunic with a red headband and it was the same for the others with their corresponding elemental colours.
"Wow! We actually look like the Ancient Magi millennia ago!" Alice said in awe.
"Speaking of which, when Boa bit me, I had a vision" Geed said.
"What sort of vision?" Alice asked.
"I saw the Chronicles Of The Magi. On it were written the words;
The Darkness hides from you the Light
Of Justice and of Truth,
It fills a creature formed like man
The Sacred Powers must come undone
Find the gems, create the Sword
Once prepared, you must face the Dark Lord.
"That's about it" Geed said.
"I don't like the sound of that. We need some rest" Diane said.
