When Geed opened his eyes, he was surrounded by a bright whiteness that seemed to go on forever. As he watched, a huge bird descended from the Sky and stood before him.
"I am Inferno, Lord Of Light, Keeper Of The Flame. What do you seek?" the Phoenix asked.
"I seek the Temple Of Light to create the Sword Of Light" Geed replied.
The creature looked at Geed and frowned.
"I have lived on since the beginning of time. I know of the Legends Of The Magi. I know of their endless wars but in all that time…never has one of them sought the Temple Of Light" Inferno said. "Are you certain you want to know what I have to say?" Inferno questioned.
"I am ready" Geed said.
"The Sacred Son, the only One
To wield the Heart Of The Crystal Sun
The One to bear the Hearts Of Six
Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, Dark and Light
The Son Of Darkness must fight for the Light
Another Sacred Creature sings
A Song Of Loss, a Song Of Sorrow
A Song to seal the Darkness down below
Only in the hands of this Sacred Creature
Will the Sword Live and the Hero conquer"
Inferno sang.
"The Sacred Birdsong?" Geed questioned.
"To create the Sword what do you need?" Inferno asked.
"I need to find the Temple" Geed asked.
"And the song just sang stated that the Temple was the one that could wield the Hearts Of Six. Thinking about that Geed, what is the Temple?" Inferno asked.
"Me, I am the Final Sacred Creature, the Temple Of Light" Geed realized. "In that case, how can the Sword Of Light be created in me?" Geed asked.
"That's a painful sacrifice you must make" the Phoenix said.
Then it spread its wings and flew away. Geed was transported back. The flash of Light threw him forcefully to the ground and he fainted.
Three days of insomnia didn't go quite well for Geed. He recovered on the Fourth Day.
"That was really scary. Don't ever do that to us again" Diane said.
Taros, Damian and Elaine walked into the room where he was resting.
"It's good to see you're okay" Elaine said.
"What happened there?" Diane asked.
"It's all quite confusing. I met a Phoenix. It told me that I'm the Temple Of Light, that I'd have to die, sacrifice my life in creating the Sword. Please do not reveal any of this to Alice" Geed said.
"Reveal what?" Alice said staring angrily at Geed. "After all we've been through, you can still keep secrets from me?" Alice said as she burst into tears.
"I did not mean it like that. I don't want to hurt you" Geed said.
"Too late. You already did" Alice said walking away angrily.
"Let her go, I don't want her to suffer for me again" Geed said. "From here on out, it's a straight path into the hell. Everyone be careful, we're headed for the Tower Of The Ancients" Geed said.
"How do you know where we're supposed to go?" Damian asked.
"A really weird dream" Geed said.
