Geed laughed.
"Even when you've been impaled, you still laugh" Darkmanner said.
"Only in the hands of the Sacred Creature
Who holds the Power Of Six
Will the True Power Of The Elements reveal itself
Only in the hands of this Sacred Creature
Will the Sword live and the hero conquer"
Geed said.
"Impossible! Did you just?!" Darkmanner exclaimed in shock.
"You see Darkmanner, it's you who made the mistake" Geed said.
Immediately, the gems came out of Geed and formed in his hands the Sword Of Light! Geed slashed at Darkmanner with the Sword. Darkmanner fell to the ground. When Darkmanner stood up, dark mist poured out of his wound.
"The real fight begins from now!" Geed roared.
"I've long waited to see which is more powerful, Light or Darkness!" Darkmanner said as he pulled out a Sword Of Darkness.
Geed pounced at Darkmanner. Darkmanner did the same. The two swords clashed in midair. Darkmanner struck a blow at Geed but Geed blocked creating a flash of light in the process. Soon, the effects of the impalement began to take place. Geed's sight began to fail him. Weakness began to fill Geed. Geed swung at Darkmanner but the Sword flew out of his hands and slid to a corner. Darkmanner knocked Geed down.
Alice was still quite angry at Geed.
"Why don't you enter the Five Point Seal Mode and beat Darkmanner" she asked.
"Yes, why don't you? Oh yes, let me guess, YOU CAN'T!" Darkmanner said as he kicked Geed.
"I couldn't master it" Geed said.
"But you told me" Alice was saying.
"I lied. To master it, I had to let go of you and everything I love and stand for. I'd rather be powerless" Geed said.
"Really?" Alice asked.
Darkmanner lifted Geed.
"I thought I taught you to be careful of what you wish for?" Darkmanner said as he punched Geed.
Geed fell to the ground. Geed shut his eyes.
"Romanus, Canine, Aerobis, Kishon, give me strength…even if my last…" Geed began to utter. "I'd never betray the ones I love! I'll never give them up! They've made me who I am and that is why I'm going to defeat you!" Geed burst out.
"You can still say such things in a weakened state?" Darkmanner said.
"Even if my last…spirits living in me…even if just a little…GIVE ME MORE POWER!!!" Geed roared.
At that moment, the Spirits within Geed awakened and the elements began to circle his shoulder.
"So you've finally awakened to your true power" Darkmanner said as his shoulder also began to glow.
His eyes began to glow bright red.
"Now let us see who is more powerful, the demon father or the devil child" Geed and Darkmanner said with one voice.
Then they pounced at each other. Geed vanished, then Darkmanner vanished. When they reappeared, they were holding each other's arms. Geed threw Darkmanner to the wall. Darkmanner stood on the wall and leapt forth to attack Geed. With remarkable speed, Geed countered with a powerful punch and then he charged up a beam of light and hurled it at Darkmanner. The beam hit Darkmanner. Geed disappeared again and appeared behind Darkmanner delivering a double kick in the process, then he disappeared and reappeared in front of Darkmanner and delivered rapid kicks in succession. He disappeared once more and hooked Darkmanner.
"This is the last time you'll hurt the ones I love! Take this, SUPERNOVA BLAST!" Geed yelled delivering a powerful uppercut with his hands coated in flames and light.
There was a huge explosion and Darkmanner fell to the ground. His hood fell off revealing Romanus!
"What? Romanus?! You're Darkmanner?" Geed asked in shock.
"Did you really believe that I'd raise a pathetic memory like you?!" Romanus roared.
Romanus charged up a ball of Dark Energy.
"Prepare to die Geed!" Romanus said throwing the Dark Ball Of Energy at Geed.
"No!" Alice screamed and leapt in the way.
The beam hit Alice and she fell to the ground coughing. Geed rushed to her side.
"ALICE!" Geed called.
"Geed" she replied softly and then she grew limp.
Geed held her close. Then he let her lie on the ground and stood up.
"ROMANUS! FOR THIS I'LL HURT YOU A BILLION TIMES WORSE!" Geed roared.
The rocks began to rise and formed a protective shield around Geed. Next, Water, Wind, Fire and Dark did the same. Then a bright Light began to glow from Geed's chest and then it covered his whole body. Geed charged at Darkmanner and grabbed him with the elemental combination. He dragged Darkmanner and knocked him into the Dark Star.
"Guys, it's time to begin the Sealing Sequence. Take your positions" Geed ordered.
The other Magi did exactly as Geed demanded. Geed descended on Darkmanner and dragged him into the Mirror Of Mist at the centre of the Star.
"Begin!" Geed ordered.
"What about you?" Diane asked.
"I'll be okay" Geed said. "Now do it!" Geed ordered.
The Magi took their positions on the Star.
"Earth, element of Hope" Diane said.
A path of Soil began to develop along the path on the Star to the Mirror. From this, plants began to grow.
"Wow!" Diane said.
"Water, element of Purity" Elaine said.
The Water flowed to the centre of the Mirror.
"Wind, element of Quest" Damian said creating a path of Wind which did the same.
Geed looked down.
"Fire, element of Courage" he said shooting a beam to the point of the Star where Alice was supposed to be standing.
"And Light!" Geed said creating a sphere of Light from the centre of the star to its outer points.
Geed shut his eyes. When he opened them, they were glowing bright gold.
"This is the end! Darkmanner!" Geed roared.
"Geedix, it doesn't have to end this way. Together, we are powerful. We can recreate your worlds with your Magi friends. Remember, I'm your father" Darkmanner said.
"I have a father…his name is Aerobis!" Geed said as he placed his palm on Darkmanner's chest.
His palm began to glow brightly.
"Spirits from whence the elements came
Hidden in mist, bound in flame
Release to me the Sacred Star
And bind this evil and send it far!"
Geed sang.
The Star on Geed's shoulder disappeared and reappeared on Darkmanner's chest.
"SEAL!" Geed called out.
Immediately, the Five Point Star in the Sky opened up and Darkmanner was sucked into it. Then the Star descended and returned to Geed's shoulder. Geed walked to Alice and dropped on his knees. He carried her and held her head in his arms.
"Don't talk like that Canine, I won't let you die, I…I'LL USE MY LIGHT POWERS TO HEAL YOU!" Geed recalled.
"There are some things even you can't change. Even if you succeed, you'll lose your life" Geed recalled.
"I'm now prepared to make that sacrifice" Geed said. Geed vomited some blood.
"I'll soon be dead anyway. Being impaled by the gems had a very bad effect on me" Geed said.
"Geed, are you okay?" all the others asked.
"Stay back" Geed ordered. "Please let this work" Geed said and shut his eyes placing his hands on Alice's forehead.
"I give my life to call your soul
Now come alive, I trade my soul"
Geed called. There was a bright flash of Light and the song of the Phoenix flowed. When the Light disappeared, Alice sat up but Geed fell on his back, weakened. He coughed violently spewing more blood.
"Geed, what happened to you?!" Alice exclaimed in shock for she had never seen Geed in such a weakened state before.
"This is what you were not supposed to find out. Alice, you were not supposed to see me die. I did not want you to feel the pain of losing me. Romanus was Darkmanner" Geed said.
Alice began to weep.
"So you already knew that you were going to die?" she asked.
"The Phoenix told me" Geed said as his vision blurred again.
Alice took his hands.
"Don't do this Geed, please don't" Alice said.
"This was meant to happen from the beginning. The most important thing is that the world is safe once more" Geed said.
"Don't do this" Alice pleaded.
"It's okay" Geed said.
"I can't lose you. Throughout this journey, though you said you wouldn't protect me and did all those crazy things, I don't know why but I've developed an attachment to you. If you die, part of my heart will also be ripped away" Alice said.
"You were not supposed to see me like this. I never meant to hurt you" Geed said.
"I don't want to lose you Geed, I love you" Alice confessed.
"Alice, you taught me that friends never lose each other as long as they do not let that love die" Geed said.
"I know, but it's still so hard to accept that I'll no longer be seeing you around" Alice said and placed her hand on Geed's cheek, then parted his hair.
"Diane, Damian, guys, take care" Geed said.
Then his head fell back and his body grew limp.
"Geed? Geed, no way, no…no way, I refuse to accept this! Geed please don't do this! Please don't leave me Geed!" Alice cried hugging Geed's lifeless body tightly.
Damian walked to Alice.
"It's too late. He's already gone" Damian said.
"He showed the true strength of a Magi" Diane said.
"Lived the life of a hero, we'll never forget him" Taros said.
Damian lifted Geed's body and they walked on. They reached a door in the Tower. When the door opened, they found King Elrand sitting on the ground.
"Father!" Alice exclaimed running into the King's arms.
"I'm so glad to see you!" the King exclaimed.
Then he saw Geed.
"I know. I saw what happened. I only wish I hadn't caused so much pain in his life" King Elrand said.
So they left the Tower and walked away. As they moved on, the Five Point Star shone on Geed. It began to rain.
"The Sky is crying" Elaine said.
Slowly, Geed's body began to glow, then it turned into sparks and flew away. Then Geed appeared in front of them.
"Hi guys" Geed greeted.
"GEED!" Alice exclaimed rushing into Geed's arms.
She kissed Geed.
"You came back" she said.
"Yes, I did. Darkness couldn't triumph. There's no way I'd let it" Geed said.
Then Geed saw the King and a rage was about to seize him.
"I'm sorry for all the pain I caused you Magi Geed" the King apologized.
Geed's expression relaxed.
"Fine then, I forgive you" Geed said.
"Thank you" the King bowed.
"But there is something I must ask. If Darkmanner was sealed ten thousand years ago, how was I raised by Romanus?" Geed asked.
"He must have created a shadow of himself" the King answered.
"Just a minute, there is still something I must do" Geed said and removed the Crystal Of Destiny formed from the combination of the gems.
"Darkmanner nearly controlled the fate of mankind with this" Geed said.
Then he knocked it against the ground and shattered it into pieces.
"Every man should control his own destiny" he said.
