Geed and his companions left the realm of light and headed on.
"So, will I be right to presume that you've mastered the seal brother?" Damian asked.
"I'm not sure I want to wield that much power" Geed said.
"It's hard we know, but it might be the only way" Alice said.
"So?" Damian asked.
"Yeah, I think I got it" Geed lied.
As they trudged along, the sky grew darker. There was not a moon, stars nor a single sound.
"This is unnatural" Geed said motioning to the others to stop.
He himself took a few steps forward. Immediately, the Sand grabbed his leg and began to pull him underground. Alice dived for Geed's arm. Diane held the sand with her Earth Powers. Geed noticed that the Sand would pull both him and Alice underground.
"Go on guys, I'll catch up" Geed said releasing his grip on Alice's armband. His hand slipped off Alice's grip and he was pulled underground.
"GEED!" Alice called.
"It's okay" Geed said as the earth closed up.
"We've got to find Geed!" Alice demanded.
"You heard him, he'll catch up" Damian said.
"He's your brother!" Alice yelled.
"And I know him. If you trust him, you'll let him go" Damian said.
"Fine, I hope he's alright" Alice said worriedly.
Meanwhile, Geed was sliding through tunnels. The Seal on his shoulder released itself and Geed seemed to be tunneling through empty space. Time whirled quickly around him. Suddenly, a huge image of the Five Point Star appeared before him. He went right through it and fell into a very dark planet. He stood up and brushed bones from his body.
"What's going on?" he asked.
He kept walking on with his senses wide awake. Soon, he reached a Cave. He walked on and on till he reached the centre of the Cave.
"So far so good" he said.
Suddenly, a shadow flashed past him. He turned around but saw nothing. Then he looked at the wall of the Cave. He saw familiar words and now, new words had joined the script.
"Gem of Earth, gem of Water
Now lost in the Realm Of Darkmanner
Gem Of Earth, gem of Fire
To protect you from the one great liar
Gems Of Wind, Dark and Light
For the Crystal Of Destiny
You must fight
-THE CHRONICLES OF DARKMANNER"
"What? Darkmanner wrote some chronicles?" Geed asked.
"Yes, do you like it?" a voice asked.
"Lord Darkmanner!" Geed roared.
"Is that anyway to greet your father?" Darkmanner asked.
"You stopped being my father when you decided to betray the Magi, the Kingdoms, the Spirits and the Star!" Geed yelled.
"Oh I see, aren't you interested in being father's only son?" Darkmanner asked.
"No, I'm not" Geed replied.
"Fine" Darkmanner said as he walked to a huge casket and opened it.
