After Lord Morita and Hesta disappeared from central Hall..
Lord Morita and Hesta appeared outside of the wall. Hesta only heard rumours about Lord Moritas terrifying Power, But Experiencing the real thing is.. Marvelous. Now he Understands why this power is called beyond.. the Level of Humans.
"So it is true that Lord Morita awakened a Space Elemental Ability during his 6th Transformation. Trait Evolution Process differ from person to person, so Awakening a Space related Ability is like hitting a 1 in a Million Jackpot. Literally." Hesta thought in his mind.
"Morita: So, which one is it?" Asked Lord Morita stopping Hesta's thoughts. Hesta recovered from his stupor and searched for that symbol. What he saw scared him to his core. The Darkness is only few meters away. And Dread spawns have started talking shelter around the wall.
Hundreds of Dread spawns are crowding around the symbols. Even these creatures are afraid of that Black Fog. He heard only those terrifying Creatures with high affinity with Darkness Element can survive Inside the Fog. If not for Lord Moritas pressure they would have already charged at the duo. Although most of them are weaklings of 1st and 2nd stage a crowd of them is no joke.
Hesta quickly found the symbol from his memory. He Informed Lord Morita and waited for his answer. Lord Morita approached the symbol. The Dreadspawns scurried away creating a path for him.
After inspecting the symbols a bit His face Darkened. Lord Morita gave Hesta a bag and said, in a slow, deep voice "Morita: Good job, Hesta. You can return now, I will take it from here
Hesta, who is already drenched in sweat looking at these creatures, took the bag. He bowed to him one last time and hurried inside the settlement. What happens after has nothing to do with him.
On the other side of the wall, he relaxed his muscles; Never in his life has he been this close to the Darkness, not to mention those Damn Creatures. He started walking towards his home and checked the contents of the bag. Dozens of blue coins were present in the bag. His restlessness completely disappeared. "Today is his the luckiest day", He thought. Or not.
When Hesta returned home, he put the coin bag in the same barrel. But wait! Something is missing. His face darkened. He hastily emptied the barrel but didn't find the fruit. He turned the whole place upside down but found nothing. It was stolen.
Hesta calmed himself Down. As a 4th Transformation warrior, His senses are not to look down upon. He concentrated on the smell. The room has its usual smell, But a faint fragrance of spices and alcohols is mixed with it.
What are the chances. Not many people saw him coming today. And among them, that erand boy is the only one who is a Cook. He is the Most likely suspect. No, he is sure of it. Dan underestimated how sharp someone who has completed the 4th Transformation, Sense Enhancement, is.
Hesta suppressed his anger and started walking towards "Tavern 7th". Good thing is the Fog already shrouded the whole settlement in Darkness. Although it is relatively safe Inside the settlement, people only come out of their House at night, if it is really necessary. This worked in Hesta's Favour
While walking, Hesta saw someone.. It was Basar. Suprised, Hesta started following Basar.
Hesta contemplated his next move; how is he going to catch Dan and get the fruit back? He couldn't cause any trouble in Basar's palace. Lord Morita will not stand for it, and everyone will know that he has an Arut Fruit. That would be Stupid.
Hesta Have to catch Dan outside the settlement or kill him today in the veil of night, before he spills anything.
Few Moments later..
Basar finally reached his Tavern, Inside he saw Dan doing something in the kitchen. He asked Dan. "Basar: Hey kid, Hesta said something about reservation today; do you know something about that?
"Yes, he asked for alcohol and our most expensive dish for two people; I doubt he can pay though," Answered Dan, feigning ignorance.
"Basar: He sure can. Do you know he found a dimming symbol.", Basar said while cleaning the Tavern.
"Dan: What? Shouldn't we be Evacuating now?" Dan asked hastily.
"Basar: Don't worry. Can't you see The Fog is already on us. The Fact that we aren't turned to Dust already Means, Morita took care of everything." Basar praised.
"Dan: So, we are safe now?" Asked Dan relaxing his nerves.
"Basar: Completely. I envy that Hesta. Not only he will Receive a Hefty sum of money, He might get rewarded in the Annual meeting." Basar spoke.
"He sure is a lucky one." answered Dan, but inside he is thinking, "Damn that bastard, he gets one good thing after another!".
He sighed at his own luck and said, "I am going to sleep, I have to leave early tomorrow morning for hunting."
"Basar: Good night." Basar spoke and also went to sleep. But unbeknownst to them Hesta was there the whole time.
Initially Hesta was planning to dispose Dan tonight, but he changed his mind. Killing Dan inside the settlement will be troublesome. He don't want this incident to garner any attention.
If what Dan said is true, then Dan would have to leave the settlement early in the morning tomorrow. This could be his chance to get the fruit back.
After he catches Dan tomorrow, he will make him spit out where the fruit is, Then dispose his body in the forest. Everyone will think he died in the forest. People always disappear once in a while anyway. Nobody will even think he was murdered.
With a determined idea he didn't return and hid inside a abondened house nearby to keep watch. He will have his Revenge soon
Few hours later.. The Black Fog started fading into the distance. Dan woke up and opened his windows. It is still dark outside, but the Darkest Hours have passed, Meaning the Fog has left the chain of settlements. It is safe to go outside, and now is the perfect time to catch those cowardly creatures
Dan put his equipments in a bag and started walking towards the wall. He didn't go outside but climbed the wall to check the other side. After the Fog left, those Creatures were also returning to the forest. He searched for a safe route among these Creatures. He came down and started following the route he had discovered.
Hesta woke up. He fell asleep at some point. He glanced at the Tavern and saw the window of Dan's room is open. He hastily came out of the house and searched for Dan. Not finding him inside his room he started running towards the Wall.
When Hesta reached the wall he didn't see anyone. He climbed the wall to get a better view. On the other side he finally found who he was looking for. He Climbed down and started chasing after Dan.
As He was sprinting towards Dan, A giant paw came towards his thigh suddenly. Hesta turned his body and Dodged that deadly Attack in the last moment. He staggered a bit but Balanced himself on a tree. The owner of that paw was a gorilla like Creature with 3 eyes. Looking at that Creature Hesta cursed. You see, Hesta made a huge mistake.
A lot of hungry Dread spawns are now returning to the Forest Now. While Dan was taking a safe route avoiding them, Hesta took the shortest route to catch Dan quickly. Now it seems he won't be leaving this place without a fight.
Hesta equipped himself with an axe and jumped. He is going to end this soon.
Dan doesn't know what kind of Messed up situation his Greed has put him in to. But it is going to be.. Interesting.
