Dan was listening a song from Legacy's world. As Dan was Enjoying these Unfamiliar things.. Legacy's voice Interrupted him.
"The Sync is complete. Do you want to wake up?" Asked Legacy
"Dan: Although I wanted to listen a little more, but I have more Important things to take care of. Time to wake up." Dan Replied
Few seconds later.
Dan opened his eyes. He was still Inside the Underground Cave but, Now he can watch everything perfectly. He saw out of his 4 traps 2 Caught Dirima, one failed, the last one Caught a Human being. What a S*it load of Bad Luck first thing in the Morning
"For a Moment there, I wished It was not real.. Unfortunately" Dan Complained
"Legacy: Unfortunately It is not. Now, Do you want to see the Interface?" Asked Legacy to Dan Telepathically
Dan was startled,."Dan: Woah! You can read my mind?
"Legacy: Yes but on the surface level only. My protocols strictly prevent me from looking Inside my host's mind.. Humans feel Insecure if their Inner thoughts are accessed. Now, I am merely talking with you Telepathically. I can steal others memories though. But, It will leave the target in a vegetative state.
"Dan: That's spooky. I will check the Interface after we get home. How long was I out for?" Asked Dan in his mind
"Legacy: It's been 8 Hours. It Noon now on the Surface.
"Dan: What? It is Noon already? Let's Clean this place first and get Home as soon as possible.
Dan gutted the Dirimas and put them in a Bag. He dug up a small Hole and Buried Jay Danates. He placed a stone on that place and wrote " Great Hero of Humanity; Jay Danates" in their planets language. Thanks to Legacy he can now Understand this Unfamiliar language to some extent
"Legacy: Thank You. He was One of my creators. So I really appreciate your Respect towards Him.
"Dan: Although It was Accident, But I am the one who Indirectly killed him. This is the least I could do for a respectable person like him.
Dan collected everything. He started ascending through the small tunnel he came previously. When he moved the Boulder that covered the Hole.. Sunlight was casted on him. Dan came out of the Tunnel and stretched his limbs
But It seems His Bad Luck has not ended yet. The moment he came out of the Tunnel he met the person he wanted to meet the least today.
Few Minutes ago. .
Hesta searched for Dan everywhere. But Even after all that searching and fighting he didn't find Dan. Giving up he decided to take a break. He could be ambushed in the forest so, he Returned to the grassland. As he was resting he saw something he never even thought of. Dan came out of underground
"Hesta: Finally found You little rat. Where are you going to hide now?" Hesta screamed and closed the distance between them in a blink of an eye. Hesta's hand struck Dan.
Dan didn't even get a chance to react before, He was Knocked out cold.. Once again.
Few seconds later Legacy and Dan started their meeting.. again in the white room in Dan's mind
"Dan: Damn that Hesta. He didn't even let me speak. What should I do now?
"Legacy: Calm down, and tell me first how that man achieved that feat with his physical strength alone?" Asked Legacy in bewilderment
Dan Understanding Legacy's question Explained everything. Who and What Evokers are? Why Hesta was that Fast? And why He was after Him?
After the Explanation.
"Legacy: That's totally out of our Calculations. People of this planet evolved their power system in a completely different way than our planet. That also explains why you are 4 times stronger than an Adult Human from my planet." Legacy Spoke in a Understanding tone
"Dan: Never mind that, what am I going to do now? Hesta is going to kill me and your mission will also fail?" Dan asked in worry
"Legacy: You are safe for Now atleast. I have been keeping eyes on your physical body. Hesta didn't do anything yet. He just brought you back inside the underground cave. He tied you to a rock and Now he is lighting torches." Stated Legacy
"Dan: How is that safe. That Bastard is going to Interrogate me Then kill me." Dan screamed in his mind
"Legacy: Calm down. It hasn't been a day since you stole his Fruit. He is not certain you are the Culprit. Atmost you are his biggest suspect. So act Natural. Act as if you know Nothing." Legacy suggested
"Dan: And How am I going to do that? He is in the Sense Enhancement level. He will definitely Notice if I lied.
"Legacy: Then let's do this. I will partially control your body using an Ability of mine. I will take care of the 'Act Natural' part, You take care of the rest." Legacy Devised
"Dan: Well.. Crying over spilled milk is futile. Let's go with your plan, But we should have a Back up just in case." Dan agreed and Explained his plan to Legacy
"Legacy: Good. Hesta is back. It seems He is going to sober you up. Start acting the moment you wake up." Legacy warned
Hesta approached Dan, *Splash* and splashed water on his face. Dan opened his eyes in puzzlement. He started looking around. When his eyes Landed on Hesta he Cursed.
"Dan: You Bastard what are doing? Why did you attack me? Release me this instance.
Hesta was taken aback. He didn't expect this kind of reaction from Dan. He was sure that Dan will start begging infront of him, but forget about begging he Instead started cursing at him.
But still it doesn't change the situation
"Hesta : Don't play dumb.You know what I am looking for, tell me where it is and you are free. Everybody wins. I am sure you don't want to make it hard for Yourself." Hesta Threatened Dan
Dan still wore that clueless Expression and Replied, "What are talking about? How do I know what you are looking for?
The next moment Hesta broke one of Dan's finger. 'aaaaaggh' Dan screamed in pain. "Hesta: I told you. Don't make it the Hard way. Now spit it.
Their conversation.. Torture.. continued..
Finally losing his patience Hesta blurted out, "Where is the Arut Fruit Dammit?"
"Dan: What? Arut Fruit? You found an Arut Fruit? And you lost it? Hahah hahaha. You Idiot.
"Hesta: Shut up and Tell me where the Fruit is while you still have fingers left." Hesta Threatened.
"Dan: I didn't take it, You Retard. Remember this, All these Blade wounds, All these Broken fingers.. I will make sure you regret it." Dan cursed with Anger
It is really puzzling. From the Beginning Dan didn't show a tinge of Hessistation. Does he Truly don't know anything
Hesta came to a conclusion. Either Dan is really Innocent, Or He is one Heck of an Actor
But It doesn't change Anything.
Hesta took out his Knife. Dan's Face Darkened looking at that Knife? Dan started Flailing like a fish
"Dan: What are you doing? Are going to kill me?
"Hesta: Yeah. You know something, you shouldn't have known. And I don't like to keep lose ends." Hesta said while approaching Dan.
"Dan: Are you out of your mind? You want to kill me just for that?" Dan Asked in reluctance.
"Hesta: I know it is wrong. A part of me feels really really Guilty for you. First the Father.. Now his Son. I really feel Bad for you." Hesta spoke while sighing
"Dan: Wait. My Father. What? You Bastard..Did you kill my Father?" Dan asked in a Angry tone.
He Never knew His Father could have been actually killed by someone. Dan needed Answer
"Hesta: No that's False Accusation. I didn't kill Him Directly. Atmost My actions Indirectly Affected Him. Well.. You are going to Die anyway, so atleast You deserve a proper Answer. I will tell you what Happened that Day..
Dan Got to know something Unexpected. And all of this became possible.. Thanks to his own stupidity. After all a person's greatest enemy is their own stupidity. It is somehow Hilarious..
As they say.. To Know your ENEMY.. You must become your own ENEMY.
