Hesta started Explaining. . .
10 years ago.. A very Powerful 6th stage Dread spawn successfully became a "Deviant". As we Humans go through six Transformation to Became an "Evoker", Those Dread spawns also go through Six Stages to became a "Deviant".
What was even Worse.. That Dread spawn actually Awakened a very Powerful Dual Elemental Ability. That Dread spawn was able to actually hide himself in Darkness. That's why finding him was Impossible.
When the othersiders Heard about this they were very Elated. It turns out that Dread spawn was a "Voidark". It was a Majestic Beast with White and Black strips all over its body. Not only it's Physical Body was very very strong. Their Racial Abilities are mostly Darkness or space type. Making them one the Most Dangerous kind of Creature.
And the Voidark from 10 years ago, Awakened a Unique Dual Elemental Ability Called "Dark Dimension". Those Othersiders wanted to catch that Dread Spawn.. Alive by any means possible. To accomplish it a group of 12 Evokers was Dispatched.
But, They Failed miserably. Not only that Voidark Escaped, He even killed 3 Evokers. That's why those outsiders Devised a plan. This time they used Humans as Baits.
First they Recruited a lot of 3rd and 4th Transformation warriors. Your father and I was also among them. They promised us rewards like 5th even 6th Transformation scripts. Those things can't be bought with just money alone. So we joined.
On the 3rd day of the Expedition, I saw the Chef they brought along, adding some kind of powder in our food. I Bribed that Chef and he spilled everything.
That Day I Understood How little our pathetic lives meant to those Othersiders. That thing he was adding in our food.. was a Drug that will attract the Voidark. And When a Human eats that food, he will emit a irresistible smell for the Voidark. We were used as Baits to attract the Voidark. And ultimately their plan Succeed.
This time they were able to catch the Creature. But the price.. Out of 126 recruits only 37 came back Alive.
Their Inhuman Plan. I was aware of it. I could have saved them, But I didn't. If I told them, Those Othersiders would have killed me. That's why I only saved myself.
It was such a Huge Incident, but did you ever saw anyone ever.. mentioning anything about it? As if this whole incident never happened. That's How Deeply rooted those othersiders are.
And that is also the reason I can't let you stay alive either."
Hesta sighed with emotion. He stood infront of Dan and asked in a low voice."Hesta: Hate me if you want. I only did what I can to stay alive. Do you have any last wish?"
"Dan: No. Not a wish. Just a question. If you were to given a second chance, would you have reconsidered your Decision." Dan replied looking Down.
Hesta was taken aback by such a question but he still Answered, "Hesta: No. Reconsidering your actions in this world is Stupidity.. You will just Die early that way."
Dan suddenly laughed and kept laughing for few seconds. He finally stopped and Spoke,
"Dan: Is that so. Thanks. That cleared All of my questions."
Hesta put the knife edge on Dan's neck and spoke.
"Hesta: So you have finally gone Insane. Don't worry i will atleast give you a proper Burial. Happy.. Journey..
As Hesta was going to Finish Dan for real..
Out of Nowhere Dan radiated a Brilliant Radiance. Hesta was blinded by that radiance for few seconds. When Hesta regained his vision Dan was not infront of him. Hesta was startled but as he was about to turn around He felt strength leaving his Body.
Hesta fell on the ground completely Paralyzed. Hesta was able to barely move his head. He saw Dan slowly approaching him.
"Hesta: You..? What. . did .. you. . do.. to me? Who are .. You?" Hesta spoke with great Difficulty.
"Dan: You can still speak huh? Doesn't matter. As you said.. I am Only doing what I can to stay alive in this Damn place." Dan stated in an expression less face.
Infront of Hesta's eyes, all of Dan's wounds and broken fingers started regenerating in a Insane speed.
Hesta was first astonished, then Horrified and started laughing like a maniac and spoke, "Hesta: You.. You Hid yourself too well. Those weird Abilities of yours and.. your actions. You are the Most Dangerous person in this place. You are a Monster. Hahahaha haha. A terrifying Monster has appeared."
Dan didn't say anything. Silvery substance came out of Dan's hand and materialized into a Blade. Hesta watched all of this in Horror as Dan's Blade penetrated his Heart.
"Dan: One more thing, I was the one who also stole your Fruit. You atleast deserve that Answer. Happy.. Journey.." Dan wishpered as he ended Hesta's life.
Hesta had a blank look when his life escaped his body. He never saw that coming. After living in a world of cruelty for 18 years Dan killed for the 1st time. Be it intentionally or unintentionally.
"Dan: Legacy, Thank you. Thanks to your Abilities I survived today. Change of Plans, We will not be leaving Marus Forest for now. We have to collect as much as information possible on the other side.. and those othersiders." Dan Suggested.
"Legacy: I Understand. I am fine with your plan. This Planet is more Mysterious than we thought. We should take things Slowly. First, you should try absorbing this Man's memories." Legacy Replied.
Dan didn't understand what Legacy meant, But the the Blade changed shape again. This time his fingers became sharp and long like Claws. Dan put his Hand on Hesta's Head and the silvery thing penetrated the flesh and skull without damaging it.
Few seconds later Dan let go of Hesta's Head and those silvery things retreated Inside his Body. After absorbing Hesta's Memories Dan Dug up another Hole and Buried Hesta's corpse there.
Few seconds later Legacy said, "Legacy: That's insane. I found a lot of Important Information from that man. Do you want to hear it."
"Dan: I will but after I return to Tavern. It is already too late." Dan collected his equipments and started walking towards the settlement.
The path was quite and uneventful. After reaching the Tavern, Dan saw a worried Basar waiting for him.
"Basar: Why are so late? Did you encounter any Danger?"
"Dan: No. Nothing like that. Just Bad Luck. I barely caught these two." Dan lied through his teeth.
Dan gave the two Dirimas to Basar and went for a Bath. Enjoying the warm liquid, Dan said in his mind.
"Dan: Today was the most exhausting day of my life. But, I learned a lot of Important things so I have nothing to complain."
"Legacy: So, what is your next plan?"
"Dan: I realized today how pathetically weak I am. First I need to Increase my strength. Then, Information on the other side is my next priority."
"Legacy: Good. You realised your weakness. so what are your orders, Host?"
"Dan: For now, Tell me what did you find in Hesta's Memories."
Dan never thought that today is going to be so Unexpected. He got to know a lot of secrets he could have never.. even guessed. After all Ignorance and Stupidity are not so different from each other.
As they say.. Nothing in the world is more DANGEROUS than sincere IGNORANCE and conscientious STUPIDITY.
