"Are you all right, Mom?" Eithan inquired as he handed Hannah a glass of water, to which Hannah reacted by hugging him and telling him how much she missed him and wished he would return.
"It's not that I didn't want to, but I was not prepared to be disgusted by everyone and called dirty by him."
"Shut up! You are not dirty, and you should not refer to yourself as such!" Trustin said as he walked behind him and smacked his head.
Eithan hold onto his head and complained to Hannah to which she caressed his head and glared at Trustin, "You are not any good, Trustin! Your wife had not eaten anything since last night and did not even come out for the breakfast! Why did you treat her in such a way?
Trustin was taken aback when he heard that, but Eithan was taken aback even more.
He glared at Trustin and told him that she should not skip meals in such a way, and if he was not going to look after her and be kind to her, then let him do that.
She was the one who took this lost dog in and fed me for several days, curing my homesickness, he said, adding that he not only owed her his life but really liked her as a friend and could not see anyone bully her like that.
"Trustin, you might be my brother and I really love you. But do not forget, when I was left alone and had nowhere to go, she was the one who took this lost dog in and feed me for several days and cured my homesickness
After hearing everything, Trustin patted him on the back and said, "Like you, I did know she hadn't had her meals. I respect that you really like her, but as long as I am here, I will do everything in my power to take care of Elysia." He stated and walked away from there.
Eithan sighed as he looked his back until it vanished; he knew Trustin had just drawn a clear line between them, but he was back for Elysia, and no line could ever keep him from reaching out to her. He was well aware of how astute and cunning the people at the Hunter Mansion were!
*********
Elysia was looking outside from the balcony. She could not help but remember the time when she was back at her home and was all set to get married to Atreus. She felt that those moments were the best moment in her life even if they were fake, but she was happy.
Now that she had married Trustin and she knew the truth behind their relationship, she was not sure how the things would transpire. She was afraid of Trustin. He did not want her to talk to Joseph and even hated it when she went to see Eithan!
How could she possibly ignore them? And why would she want to? Simply because he instructed her to do so? Just because he did not like Joseph?
She had never been disobedient, but what happened to her in the end? She was betrayed in the end. And why did she still feel the need to be submissive and care about anyone when she had a relationship that was meaningless?
All of those thoughts were still running through her head as she heard light footstep approaching.
Elysia paid no heed to it and continued to look in the same direction as before.
"I heard from mom that you did not even go to breakfast this morning, let alone eat anything last night," Trustin questioned softly. For the first time in his life, he feels a little bit guilty for some reason.
"Why do you care if I eat or die? I am here just for the show anyway!" She said without turning to him, "I thought a lot of this. If I am here just for the show, you should not care about me, and I will do the same."
"What did you just say?" Trustin questioned in anger as he went to her and held onto her elbow, thus making her look at him.
"Trustin, I was not told that you have a problem in hearing, or you actually do?" Elysia remarked as she tried to hide her pain from his tight grip on her hand.
"Really? Are you going to play like this, Elysia?" Trustin inquired as he looked into her eyes, trying to understand what she was playing at. But other than except emptiness he found nothing.
"Why? Did you believe you were getting married to a rabbit that would only obey your commands? But I'll tell you this: You have a snake in your possession that can suffocate you with its venom at any time!" Elysia exclaimed while gritting her teeth and wondering to herself in her head, 'I read those books for fun, but it actually worked?'
She simply picked up the dialogue that she had previously read in a book.
Although she gave off the impression of being stern, she was actually terrified of what he might do to her.
As she was about to continue, Trustin yanked her in his direction, brushed the hair that had fallen on her face as a result of the friction, and yelled, "No!" He blew air on her face, causing her to flinch.
He continued, "I don't think I married a rabbit, neither do the snake—I think I married a wild cat, who is now in the attack mode and ready to scratch its owner by her paws."e He locked his hand around her waist.
