Writers' POV continuation:
The humans almost achieved their aim not until Heron, an elven Prince and warrior and was also a close friend of A'vous came to his rescue. The humans knew that if A'vous was left alive he will hunt for them and have them killed. But the time Heron and his elven soldiers came to rescue, they saw A'vous holding a human girl in his arms. The humans responsible got away but they already did damages. A'vous looked weak and in pain. Most of his magical abilities had been drained from his body. The human girl was the woman he loved. She was bleeding from her mouth and ears because she had taken the hit from a spell of Dark magic casted towards A'vous to kill him.
A'vous wailed and cried because his magic could not save the woman he loved.
The war began and with the magic stolen from A'vous, it gave the humans equal hand in battle. A'vous mourned his beloved without eating not sleeping for days.
As the war continued, the humans gained more magic and power from Dark magic and it was taking a total control of their consciousness and will. They were overwhelmed by the power it gave them and they still crave for more.
The elves were terrified by what they saw and seek council with A'vous who was still in mourning because it was something they could not handle on their own.
After mourning his beloved for days, he confronted the situation to protect his kind. He fought like never before that left everyone in awe. Part of A'vous' ability to do magic has indeed been taken away from his body, but the humans were surprised and shocked at what they saw, they were surprised by the way he fought because it looked like they took nothing from him.
A'vous showed no mercy on those who used Dark magic, and killed most of them.
Out of fear, the rest of the humans flee for their lives, taking their families along. The display of magic by A'vous was so great that it shook the earth and even the other elven mages feared him.
He needed to protect his kind from threats of Dark magic. Though, the death of his beloved took a great toll on him, he knew it was his responsibility to protect his people. Then A'vous used the last of all his strength and magic to create a magical boundary, his eyes glowed white and a big star symbol burnt out of his chest. The other high mages understood the magic and helped him. And with their combined magic. They successfully created an invincible magical boundary which separated the Humans and Elves. It was so great that no one could see the length and width of the boundary.
It was created in a way that only those born into magic could see it.
The dying A'vous was taken back to his home on an island by Heather and other high Mages. He told them of his return someday in the future and before he died, he told them that he saw the moon mage but he was unable to protect it as it was too vulnerable.
He gave his last instructions to them and died. Few minutes after his death, a thick and dense fog arose and covered the whole island. The people knew that the fog was created by the arch-mage to keep his home safe from anyone that would want to use his knowledge and spells to do evil or for the purpose of dark magic.
It took heather and other mages months to find a way out of the fog. Since then, it was called 'The lost Island of A'vous' because those who tried going in couldn't and those who found a way in never came back.
