Chereads / Villain Turning Point Mission / Chapter 3 - Imperfect Robot

Chapter 3 - Imperfect Robot

Rohan was even more infuriated when he saw his mother, stepfather and siblings enjoying the fruits of the dangerous mission that took the life of his biological father.

At that point, Rohan eventually felt his differences from the rest of his family. In fact, he had nine brothers. But three of them died on the mission, just like his father.

The rule in his family was: When family members were still alive, they would protect them as hard as they could. But strangely, if they died, no one seemed to mourn at all.

To Rohan's eyes, all members of the Egoxar family only regard each other as valuable tools. They would defend it as hard as they could, but would throw it away when it was damaged or dead.

Jenzigh said it was normal in villain families and it had been practised for generations.

However, Rohan had a different view. Deep down, he didn't like the way things worked in his family. He could feel love, which he showed to his late father and grandfather.

Being born a villain made Rohan think that the feeling he had was something wrong in the eyes of the villain. That way, he always tried to cover it up and tried to look even eviler by constantly committing crimes.

"Look at you, Rohan. You always use the word 'opinion' to defend the good side in your heart. I know you've been poisoned. If only that man hadn't opened his trash mouth to you, then you'd be the greatest villain by now. But I'm afraid that will never happen." Jenzigh said.

"The man you are talking about is your own father." Rohan hissed with a flash of electricity which began to flicker from between his tightly clenched fingers.

"You know the ground rules in this universe. The weak will be left behind and the strong will step forward. He was a good man – that's why he was weak. Your grandfather was the scum of the Egoxar clan. No matter how strong you are, you will always be weak if you have kindness in your heart."

"Did I ever say that I was a good person? How many times do I have to tell you that I just don't want to be taken advantage of by my own family, especially you; my mother!" Rohan loosened his fists to restrain himself from ending up destroying the whole room like when he was arguing with one of his stepfathers.

"Fine! I won't say anything more. But please, Rohan. We need you to be cooperative this time. This is a very important big mission with no kidding results. We have signed the cooperation agreement. You know what will happen if the planning isn't done when they arrive."

Jenzigh knew there was no point in continuing to argue with that boy. Rohan was considered childish but much needed. Working with him was a big dilemma.

"Then a war between clans must take place," Rohan replied as he threw away his food because he had completely lost his appetite.

"Rohan, please quit joking. This is very important to us."

"To you!" Rohan replied with a growl.

"I don't want any war in this family, Rohan. There's no point in us fighting." Jenzigh sighed.

"Listen, son. Remember that Bardahon is the strongest clan on Planet Gehya. We are not weaker than them, but they have the best ships that can transport all the pure gold we will mine from Planet Ogx.

Being able to work with them again is an opportunity not to be missed. Planet Ogx is very acidic. Only well-built spaceships with the best materials like Bardahon's could survive.

So far, no man has managed to survive on the planet. We have to take as much as we can while the opportunity is still there. Stealing something from an empty place is better than fighting over it."

Rohan responded to Jenzigh's explanation with a chuckle. "So, the greatest woman in the history of the Egoxar ends up depending on another clan? Let's just say that you don't feel stronger than them besides chirping a whole song like that."

"There is no point in fighting with an enemy as strong as us. It will only harm both parties. Better to be friends with them for benefits. That's what I call fighting smart." Jenzigh replied.

A spaceship pierced through the layers of a blood-red sky. It flew over the city sky with many skyscrapers, and parked beside a skyscraper tower belonging to the Egoxar clan.

A group of Gines stepped out of the huge ship, crossing the iron bridge that led them into the huge tower.

Gine was the original creature of the planet Gheya. They had the same body posture as humans but with slightly grey skin that resembled a reptile. Gine's original power was controlling the air around them.

"Welcome to the Egoxar Tower, my old friend." A woman with pale skin and silver hair came to greet them.

"It's been quite a while. But I'm not sure old friend is the right name for us." A male Gine returned Jenzigh's brief hug. He had long hair braided back. His name was Doma Bardahon, the seventy-first generation leader of the Bardahon clan.

"I think it can be used while the mission is in progress. Just to strengthen cohesion?" Jenzigh said as she invited them to follow her to the meeting room.

"Making use of feeling on a mission. It was a very clever tactic, Lady Jenzigh." Said Doma's wife, Banda Bardahon.

Jenzigh smiled. "Thank you."

"Anyways, where are the others?" Doma asked while looking around.

"They have gathered in the meeting room. I know you don't like waiting." Jenzigh answered.

"So do you. And I don't think I'm late?" Doma checked the holographic watch on his arm cover.

Jenzigh chuckled. "You do not. We just want to do it as quickly as possible so that the mission can be soon carried."

"In a rush as usual," Doma replied, then continued, "Then, Rohan is also with us this time, isn't he?"

"He is."

Jenzigh's answer made Doma smile faintly. "Good to hear that. He is the most powerful in the Egoxar clan. And of course, I have to start building a business relationship with him since he's the next leader of Egoxar, correct?"

Only smiling faintly, Jenzigh swallowed all of her answers back before they reached her tongue.

Just like the Bardahon clan, all villains and superheroes from across the planets in this solar system already knew – or rather, assumed – that Rohan was Jenzigh's successor as leader of the Egoxar clan because he was undoubtedly strong and clever.

However, none of them knew or at least heard of the constant commotion within the Egoxar family regarding Rohan.

Jenzigh and her two husbands, as clan elders, felt that Rohan had a heart that was not fit to be a leader of any villain clan. He was like a robot with a great, powerful machine but driven by the wrong chip.
