Synopsis
“You are an arrogant woman! You talk like you've forgotten that you're just a withered flower I picked from the side of the road.” Darren clenched his jaw while his fingers moved to grab Aurora’s chin roughly, forcing the woman to look at him. “Don't you dare fight me, Aurora. Because your little body won't be enough for the food of my saltwater dwellers.” Said Darren viciously.

Chapter 1 - Beautiful woman

Happy Reading.

"I don't want this problem to happen again."

The voice was so quiet, yet filled with heart-thumping threats. Immediately, a tense air filled the room, as if the air supply was forcibly deprived of leaving gasps.

Darren Criss Light had a shapely, handsome face, complete with a pair of piercing blue eyes that currently seemed to be smeared with an overwhelming rage. He did not suspect that the finance manager in his company had fangs for treason. Darren gritted his teeth vigorously while his chest thundered, wanting to kill this man in front of him.

"Anthonio." He said firmly in a hiss.

Anthonio, who was standing behind Darren's back, as fast as lightning, immediately moved then stepped forward before then standing in front of Darren with a respectful attitude.

"Yes, sir." He blurted.

There was a pause before Darren said. He threw scanning gazes at everyone who simultaneously lowered their heads. Then, without looking at Anthony, he spoke again.

"Find the damn mouse. Then cut off his head and throw the pieces of his body to the inhabitants of my fresh water. That is the proper punishment for a traitor."

And the order made the atmosphere even more tense. The poor heart was pounding, making the chest more congested. While Darren did not refrain from grinning at their deathly pale faces. Slowly, with a threatening gesture, he move from his seat, gazing deeply at Anthonio.

"Do it before the sun goes down." Said Araster than.

Hearing that, Antonio looked up and made their glances meet. His emerald green eyes stared at Darren's piercing blue eyes while his lips thinned. He has been hiding for too long in a warm camp that does not make him comfortable at all. Because his crazy desire to kill had to be held back as complicated as he could. But today he did not need to restrain himself anymore, because a single command from Darren would definitely satisfy him greatly. Anthonio's Demon soul churned to kill the useless human who could only be a little mouse in this company, then bravely gnawed at Light's wealth.

However disgusting the rats must be destroyed before further action is taken. Anthonio has got permission and this excellent opportunity can not be discarded for free.

While Darren unraveled thin lips, all the expressions on Anthonio's face did not escape his gaze.

"Kill him without leaving a trace. Because I really don't like mistakes."

Anthonio nodded his head. He had devoted himself to Darren for a long time. That's why there was no doubt on his face when answering Darren's firm order. Whoever it is, Anthonio always cleans himself without stains.

"Yes sir. I will play as usual." said Anthonio, parsing suspicion on Darren's face.

"Good." Darren thinned his lips, making his expression darken even more despite the satisfaction there. "Take care of this problem. I have to get Cleo." he added again.

Anthonio nodded his head and gave a respectful gesture.

"Yes, sir." then without orders, Anthonio stepped aside from Darren's front a little to make way for the guy.

Darren stepped forward without a word, leaving behind Anthonio, who grinned viciously, then threw a careful look at them.

"Back to work."

A short order was given by Anthonio and immediately made all the occupants of the room disperse. Taking wide steps and running.

"Aurora?"

When she heard her name called, Aurora immediately turned around. Her smile widened when she found the figure of a beautiful white-skinned woman. Mrs. Amira, the caretaker of the orphanage, was approaching Aurora. Her smile was sincere and her face looked friendly. Aurora deftly stepped forward, narrowing the distance between them.

"What's up, mom?" Aurora's voice is soft, with her big smile.

Mrs. Amira smiled softly. Aurora was indeed like a noble daughter. Her smooth, well-groomed skin, bright brown eyes, long flowing black hair complete with small lips with a little thick at the bottom and also a sharp nose made her look like a goddess. Amazingly, even though Aurora lived and grew up in an orphanage, her attitude was gentle and spoke smooth and polite words. That's what makes Aurora always get love from children and orphanage caretakers.

"Honey, please pick up your little sister at school." with a gentle tone, Amira spoke.

Aurora nodded her head. "Mom, let me pick up Shasa from school."

"All right. Go, honey, be careful." continued Mrs. Amira, then gave a warning loudly in her last sentence.

Once again, Aurora nodded her head. Without a word, she turned than walked.

Cleo narrowed his eyes when he saw a silver car enter the school grounds. His smile widened and was about to move his legs to run, but in the same second it was immediately undone. Disappointment immediately ran through his mind when he realized the man who came out of the car was not his father. With his head down, Cleo turned around, stepping lazily towards the school swing. There he again sat himself while leaning on his back while Cleo's eyes kept watching the streets.

Cleo sighed furiously, repeatedly standing with her head out to seek her father's whereabouts, but was nowhere to be found. Finally, by holding back the upset feeling, Cleo held her backpack, then moved towards the gate. But just as his feet had arrived at the lip of the gate, Cleo ceased his steps when he saw a beautiful woman. A fair-skinned female with beautiful brown eyes walked towards him. Cleo blinked, twitching his eyelids as if confirming that the woman was real. Until when his sense of hearing caught such a soft sound, for a moment Cleo's heart was flooded with so much warmth.

"Hey... have you seen a girl with a ponytail?" Aurora spoke in a soft tone, deliberately bowing slightly towards Cleo.

For a moment, Aurora's forehead furrowed, her eyes smeared with confusion when she saw Cleo's gaze completely fixed on her. Aurora returned Cleo's gaze, her brown eyes looking deeply into those blue eyes.

"Hey... is there something on my face?" Aurora's brown eyes traced Cleo's face while her mind raged.

"You... so beautiful as a goddess." Cleo said with a flat expression, his gaze still fixed on Aurora.

Aurora smiled faintly, looking at the boy, who had such an amazing observation. How not? If observed more closely again, Cleo is just a little boy, seven years old, but his thinking looks like a child who is already a teenager. The confusion that had stopped by Aurora's face slowly disappeared into an amused expression.

"Thank you, dear. You're also very handsome." Aurora moved her hand to wipe Cleo's head.

While Cleo almost shed tears. He never felt the love of a mother, only his father, who always lavished affection, always trying to be a father figure and a mother for him. That's why Cleo tried so complicated to hide his longing for maternal affection. He did not want to make his father sadly.

Apparently, all of Cleo's expressions did not escape Aurora's supervision in the least. She realized that this little boy in front of her was sad. His blue eyes were no longer smeared with admiration. And out of nowhere, Aurora rubbed the boy's cheek gently with her fingers.

"What's your name, dear?" Aurora's expression looked sad, as if she shared Cleo's sadness.

Cleo's lips trembled, his voice hoarse from wanting to fill. "Cleo. My Name Is Cleo. I miss my mother, but I don't have a mother. Are you gonna get mad if I call you mom?"

Aurora was stunned, her fingers turning stiff while her body froze. Aurora remained silent for a long time, letting her eyes gaze into Cleo's eyes. Slowly, her lips curved to form a thin line that resembled a smile. Aurora shook her head, trying to calm Cleo down.

"Of course not. My name is Aurora, you can call me mom."

Cleo's smile widened. Without holding back again, he immediately placed his body into Aurora's body, then swiftly moved both hands to embrace Aurora's back.

Aurora's eyes widened. She almost fell when Cleo hugged her suddenly. Luckily, her right foot swiftly propped up on the floor to hold her body.

"Mom... mom... I miss you."

Aurora's heart seemed to be squeezed strongly when she heard Cleo's vibrating voice, feeling sad and piercing her heart. Aurora even felt drops of warm water fall on her shoulders. Apparently, Cleo drowned his face and sobbed there. Because of this, Aurora surrounded Cleo's trembling body with her arms, trying to win the little boy.

Cleo's cries grew louder, along with Aurora's gentle strokes on his head. He tightened his hands, hugging Aurora as if he was afraid that she would leave.

"Oh, that's okay, dear. No one can hurt you. Don't cry anymore." Aurora whispered lovingly in Cleo's ear.

Slowly, Cleo's tears subsided, only his breathing was choked while Cleo still wanted to lift his face from the niche of Aurora's neck. He even more immersed his whole body in Aurora's arms.

"Aurora."

The soft voice of the call distracted Aurora and Cleo. Aurora looked up, her smile instantly widened when she found a big-eyed, petite female figure near to her face.

"Shasa?" she said with a cheerful expression.

Meanwhile, Cleo felt extreme jealousy when he heard Aurora's soft tone. Cleo does not know why he does not like that, but he can not be selfish and is about to take control of Aurora completely. Because of this, Cleo was very forced to lift his face, then turn around. His expression was cold and illegible when he saw the little woman with the two braids running towards Aurora and immediately hugging her. Cleo stepped aside with a feeling of annoyance, while his eyes were smeared with extreme vexation.

"Have you come to pick me up?" asked Shasa with sparkling eyes.

"Of course, dear. Mom told me to pick you up. Let's go home now, because the children of the orphanage are waiting for you us." Aurora said meaningfully, deliberately to make Shasa curious.

Shasa's forehead frowned. "Are we going to celebrate something? Why do all the children of the orphanage have to wait for me?"

"Sleeping beauty secrets." Aurora moved her fingertips to poke Shasa's nose. "Let's go home."

Aurora was about to step in, but was soon undone when she realized Cleo was still with them. Aurora mourns for herself when she realizes that, for a moment, she has forgotten about Cleo's existence. With feelings of guilt running through her mind, Aurora turned her back. Her eyes were staring at him.

"Honey, don't you want to go home?" Aurora asked anxiously.

Cleo shook his head, both hands squeezing each other as if to weigh the correct words to say.

"Mom... can I come with you?" Cleo said softly and expectantly, which immediately made Aurora's voice gasp.
