Happy Reading.
The grip of Darren's hand on her neck made Aurora's heart beat, getting tighter and stronger, as if it was about to break into pieces. Her breath was choked because the air was blocked from filling her poor lungs. Aurora struggled, moving her legs to attack Darren. But all her efforts were in vain, because the man did not move at all. Aurora's body was almost stiff as Darren's giggles grew stronger around her neck. Aurora's eyes widened while her eyeballs prepared to drop a trail of small, hot streams on her cheeks. In the second, when Aurora gave herself up to lie under Darren's power, it was at that moment that she forced her eyes to investigate Darren's eyes.
What a beautiful pair of eyes. The sparkling blue reminds me of a nature reflected by the morning sun.
Aurora removed her hand from Darren's, no longer trying to escape, her ears ringing while her eyes almost closed, preparing to meet the eternal darkness. But before all that happened, Aurora's sense of hearing had heard a crying sound, followed by a scream.
"Dad!"
Cleo ran over, sobbing. His small, weak hands tugging at Darren's blue suit while his head looked up, stared at Araster.
"Please let mom go. Don't hurt her." So sad that the voice sounded heartbreaking and in the end could melt Darren's heart.
"Let go of daddy, Cleo. Don't cry because of this bitch." While bracing his hand on Aurora's neck, Darren spoke.
"No!" Cleo screamed loudly when he saw Aurora's face, that had turned deathly pale. "Let go of Aurora! I would hate you so much if anything happened to her."
As soon as Cleo finished his sentence with passionate anger, Darren's body instantly froze stiffly. And unconsciously he removed his hand from Aurora's neck and made the woman's body instantly fall on the floor.
Darren slowly turned to Cleo and bowed before crouching in front of the little man.
"Watch your words, Cleo." Darren's hissing threatened. "Are you challenging me right now?"
For a moment, there was fear that occupied Cleo's mind. His father's blue eyes no longer shone full of love but shone with a fiery fury ready to burn. But Cleo pressed his heart, whispering a word of calmness, hoping that the beating heart would not block his lips from speaking.
"Yes." Cleo said briefly, but emphatically. "Anyone who dares to hurt Aurora will become my enemy, including you."
The silence stretching across the school area seemed to suck in all the air around, almost making the poor chest squeeze with distress. Aurora, who was still busy taking as sufficient breaths as possible to fill her congested lungs, was immediately stunned when she heard a real defense sentence from Cleo. While her hand was busy to rub Shasa's hand and give peace to the little woman also ceased. Aurora felt relief in her chest and her brown eyes stared back at Cleo and made their gaze lock. The little man looked at her with a loving look, even though those blue eyes seemed to be wet with tears. Aurora slowly got up, gently touched Shasa's hand and then pulled the little woman's trembling body to stick in front of her stomach. And Aurora walked down Darren's stiff back before looking back at Cleo.
While Darren gritted his teeth vigorously tried with all his might not to vent his anger on Cleo. Darren sighed deeply, trying to ease his emotions.
"Let's go home." he broke up and got up from a squatting position.
"Don't want to. I still want to be with mom." Cleo's full of rejection.
Darren frowned, confusion was obvious in his eyes.
"Who are you calling mom?" Darren said curiously.
"That beautiful woman. She's my mother." Cleo's hand pointed towards Aurora while his lips grinned.
Such a vividly designated Aurora can only swallow saliva. She does not know what the crazy guy will do to her again later, and it really makes her heart beat again when she sees Darren turn his back and then look at her. Aurora pulled Shasa's body closer and closer to her.
Darren thinned his lips. Apparently Aurora's arrogance had faded, and it pleased him. Indeed, the world should have bowed under his feet full of power and this arrogant woman.
"Mother, eh?" Darren said in a mocking tone, "What joke have you played on my son to make him a fool like this?"
"Dad!" Cleo interrupted quickly, throwing an angry look at Darren.
However, Darren ignores Cleo's anger. He steps closer towards Aurora than stands in front of Aurora.
"Why do you look like a poor deer? I haven't even pounced on you yet, but you've put up with such a pathetic attitude." Darren observed Aurora's neck, the corners of his lips raised, when he saw a red trail that would soon turn purplish there.
Noticing the direction of Darren's gaze, Aurora's hand reflexively raised swiftly to cover her neck. Her legs slowly stepped back, creating the greatest distance between them.
"You are a devil! You strangled Aurora and tortured her!"
Aurora's eyes widened in shock mixed with incredible surprise when she realized Shasa was no longer by her side. In the same second, Aurora's heart was pulled forcefully when she saw the little woman looking at Darren. Aurora's body melted as if all the bones attached to her body were uprooted.
Darren lowered his head, looking disparagingly at Shasa. There was a faint amused smile on his face when he realized the courage of this little girl.
"Move the little girl. I don't want to hurt you." Darren said in a low voice.
"Shasa." Aurora pulled Shasa's body and hid the little girl's body behind her. "She's just a kid. You shouldn't have threatened Shasa." looking up at Darren, she said.
Darren raised an eyebrow, throwing a scornful look. "I have no interest in hurting this little girl. Because her body would be so incapable of being nourished by my freshwater inhabitants."
Aurora thinned her lips, speaking in a piercing voice. "Dear lord Light, you could have subdued the world with your cruelty, trampled their pride under your rule, but not with me. I am only a poor woman in this world, but your power will never make me bow down under your feet. I'd rather be the food of your freshwater inhabitants than have to give up my pride to a man like you." she said calmly but reawakened Darren's anger.
"A man like you?"Darren's fingers rushed to grab Aurora's jaw, pressing on the tips of his nails to create extreme pain there. "Damn woman! Instead of your body being the food of my freshwater dwellers, it would be much better if this body became the food of men who like momentary pleasures. You have a beautiful face, an ideal body and your sharp lips will definitely be very delicious if tasted. How? If you're interested, just call it. I have a lot of business colleagues who like to collect antiques like you." Darren replied then with a thick insult.
Hearing that, out of nowhere, Aurora's power pushed Darren's chest away from her. Before the man could realize the distance created, Aurora's hand had already thrown a complicated slap on Darren's cheek.
A second. Only a second of silence struck so eerily before Aurora forced her quivering lips to speak.
"Shut your mouth! How dare you insult me! You have no shame trading women's pride as if you didn't grow up and be born of a woman!" There was a moment's pause just to stare at Darren's expression, "you need to know one thing Dear Mr. Light, not all girls like luxury and will open their legs for a wad of money. If you are used to such a world, then today you are really lucky to meet me. Because this woman you just insulted is an obvious proof of what I said. It's up to you to call me an arrogant woman, because I don't care what you think of me. My pride is mine and cannot be exchanged for anything, including your money, Mr. Light. Remember that!" She added by suppressing every word that came out of her lips.
And after Aurora pulled Shasa's hand before then stepping together towards the gate without turning her head at Cleo, who was looking at her with a pitiful facial expression.
While Darren no longer held back, his patience was exhausted. The damn woman has now raised a war flag on him, and in return, Darren will be generous to stab a crushing defeat on Aurora. Subdue the female and turn her into a docile bitch, Darren thinned his lips. There was a sly smile that appeared there when the lips gave a firm order irrefutably.
"Anthonio, I want information about a woman named Aurora." Darren's expression darkened as his hand put the phone back in his suit pocket.
