Chapter 2 - He is a monster

Happy Reading

Aurora was stunned for a long time.

Her eyes were fixed on the figure of the boy, who stood with a pleading look at her. She felt sorry for Cleo. Aurora doesn't know what happened to the little boy's story, but Aurora can see clearly the longing wrapped in sadness in the blue eyes. Aurora gave a big smile before bending over in front of Cleo, supported by her body, with both knees resting on the floor.

"Why no, of course Cleo can come." She said calmly, rubbing Cleo's head affectionately.

Immediately, the corners of Cleo's lips were raised high, showing off his big smile, and then unconsciously wrapped his little hands around Aurora's neck, sinking his body back into Aurora's warm embrace.

"Thank you mom." said Cleo in an excited tone, without removing his big smile as he pulled his face to stare at Aurora. "Let's go, mom." Cleo pulled Aurora's hand, helping her to get up from a resting position.

Warmth. The first thing that came to Aurora's mind was when Cleo's tiny fingers clasped her hands. For a moment Aurora was again stunned, letting the little man lead her steps and pulling her body, that seemed to be stiff. Until when Aurora feels the gentle touch of another tiny finger, Aurora's consciousness instantly returns completely.

"Shasa?" with her head down towards Shasa, Aurora spoke.

"You almost forgot about me." Shasa said with a sullen face.

And that Shasa expression made Aurora laugh loudly. She released her hand slowly from Cleo's grasp, staring at the little man meaningfully. Cleo, who understood the contents of Aurora's gaze, remained silent while observing the interaction between Aurora and Shasa.

"My beautiful Sleeping Beauty, How could I forget you let alone leave you? Mrs. Amira will pull my ears red later if I do that." Aurora narrowed her eyes, deliberately putting on a suspicious face. "Would this Sleeping Beauty feel happy if I got punished?"

Shasa's big round eyes widened, her expression of surprise mixed with fear. As fast as lightning, Shasa ran to embrace Aurora. Both of her hands swiftly wrapped around Aurora's waist with all their might.

"Can not! I'll scold Mrs. Amira if you get punished." say it with a firm voice.

Aurora chuckled softly, then gently stroked Shasa's head. "Let's better go. Cleo's been waiting for us." She continued while throwing a smile at Cleo.

Shasa obeyed, pulled her face and then turned to Cleo. With a possessive attitude, she grabbed Aurora's hand, putting on an annoyed face as she said.

"Hey golden hair, you shouldn't like Aurora too much. I don't really like sharing, do you understand me?" she said later.

Cleo thinned his lips. This little woman really dared to bully him, not even the slightest fear of him. Cleo glanced at the tangle of hands, staring scornfully before then stepping forward and grabbing Aurora's left hand.

"We're even now. Let's go. Don't chatter too much." He said, pulling Aurora's hand first.

Shasa stepped up by stamping her feet, while her lips did not stop to sum up. Aurora, who was focused on Shasa, didn't hold back from smiling while shaking her head. She clasped the two hands on her left and right sides together. Looking as smiles of happiness adorned their faces, Cleo didn't even stop to look up, staring at Aurora's face that turned towards Shasa. There was a warm feeling that filled his heart, something that could not even be expressed in words.

Their footsteps had reached the school gate. Aurora paused for a moment, then turned to Cleo. Before Aurora said, her forehead furrowed, about to weigh the Right sentence to say. Because, looking at Cleo's clothes and skin, the little man was not from among the likes of her and Shasa.

"Cleo?"

"Yes, mom?" said Cleo in a soft tone.

Aurora's smile instantly widened. She stared lovingly at Cleo before then saying. "Do you mind if we walk?"

"No problem." Cleo responded quickly and firmly. "Don't worry Mom, I'm a man. Just walking won't knock me out." he is full of confidence.

"How proud of him. Just watch out if you whine. I'll kick your ass." Shasa replied curtly, making Cleo's expression harden.

"I look like a girl! My father did not allow me to be a weak man like a woman." Said Cleo with chest up and down because of emotions.

"What do you mean? Why are you staring at me with those horrible blue eyes! You crybaby." Shasa was rejected less emotionally.

To hell with everything. Cleo released his grasp from Aurora's hands, then stepped quickly in front of Shasa and pushed the little woman down to the floor. Aurora, who witnessed all of that, instantly widened her eyes, her expression of shock mixed with surprise. She slowly turned her head towards Cleo, staring in horror at the little man. Aurora does not know why the aura emanating from Cleo looked creepy. She barely recognized Cleo's figure. Aurora's consciousness was forcefully snatched when she heard sobs. She immediately squatted in front of Shasa, helping the little woman to stand up.

"What Are you doing Cleo! Why did you hurt Shasa." in Aurora's lofty tone, there was a flash of anger in her eyes.

But unfortunately, Cleo was not affected at all. He instead put on a calm face as if nothing had happened.

"This little girl insulted me." he said without expression.

Cleo knows well that what he is doing is outrageous. His complicated heart did not feel touched by the touching crying scene in front of him. But when she noticed Aurora's gaze burning with anger, Cleo felt a deep sadness in his heart, as if the warm feeling that filled his heart had disappeared, swept away by the wind, leaving nothingness there.

"What? How can you say that while Shasa doesn't insult you at all?" Aurora spoke in a slightly growling voice.

"She insulted my mom! She said I was a crybaby as if I was a weak man!" Cleo shouted.

"She didn't insult you, Cleo. Stop blaming Shasa. "Aurora interrupted quickly, pulling Shasa close to her. "Your attitude is outrageous. You are only a child but bravely insult the women. You say women are weak and act like we don't deserve to be compared to men. I really don't understand where you get that kind of understanding. It's like you don't have any manners and behave like a fool. You're so arrogant, Cleo. I'm sorry I took such a hard time loving you. In fact, you are just like the other nobles, so arrogant and heartless." She continued then to give emphasis at the end of the sentence.

Aurora's sentence, she said quickly and clearly stunned Cleo. His blue eyes stared at Aurora tearfully. He was not a fool. Cleo deeply understood every meaning behind Aurora's words. And unfortunately Aurora's words were like thousands of arrows piercing through Cleo's chest, carving a gaping wound there. That's why Cleo lowered his head, leaving his cheeks wet with tears.

Aurora was stunned for a moment, biting her tongue, which was useless but had the potential to hurt. When seeing Cleo's back trembling with tears, there was a sense of disappointment mixed with sadness that infiltrated Aurora's heart. Aurora wanted to pull the little body and then embrace it into her warm arms. Slowly and carefully, Aurora released Shasa's hand from her grasp, stepping forward to approach Cleo. Aurora's footsteps ceased when she heard a crisp voice right behind Cleo.

"I will definitely make you suffer a lot, girls."

Immediately Aurora's head looked up and was immediately presented to the figure of a sharp, blue-eyed, handsome man who was also staring at her. Aurora's forehead furrowed while confusion was clear in her eyes.

While Darren, who had witnessed the interaction between Cleo and the two women, did not refrain from stepping forward approached them with threatening movements. His expression darkened as if holding back anger that was ready to explode. Darren stood beside Cleo as he clenched his hands tightly together before then pulling the little man to the back of his body.

"What did you do to my son?" said Darren by clenching his jaw.

"Son? Your son, Cleo?" Aurora asked in disbelief.

Darren thinned his lips. There was a terrible, cynical gleam in his eyes as he said. "His name is Cleo Eileen Light. My son, Darren Criss Light, is a succes investor who certainly has a potent influence in this universe. Is that convincing enough for you?"

Aurora's eyes gazed at Darren's face. She thinned, her lips slipping into a mocking smile there. Now she knows the origin of Cleo's arrogance, it turns out that this man also glorifies himself and his arrogant attitude really makes Aurora annoyed. She did not feel intimidated at all by Darren's threatening gaze. instead Aurora deliberately raised her chin as she said.

"Sorry, sir, but I don't care about that at all. You've wasted your energy because I'm not impressed at all."

Apparently, it was Aurora's courage that clearly inflamed the flames of Darren's anger. In the same second when Aurora finished her sentence, Darren's palm directly stuck to Aurora's neck, then strangle her with all his might. His eyes flashed red while his expression hardened. Darren completely ignored the sound of Shasa's and Cleo's roars. The man was like a ferocious monster, ready to crush all the bones attached to Aurora's body. Slowly, without taking his hands off Aurora's neck, Darren brought his face to a whisper in Aurora's ear.

"You know, I really hate women like you. It looks like a ferocious and creepy tiger, but in an instant it will turn out like a tame cat just because of a little gentle touch. From this moment, I assure you that tears of destruction will always drip down your cheeks until you choose to surrender and die. That's a fair price for my son's tears."
