The announcements ended shortly after and everyone who made it was dismissed, and told to head towards the reception office to get their classes and dorm numbers.
"Hello my name is Effy Limpervil." Fae said as he walked up to the reception desk. The secretary began to scroll through files automatically, as if she could read the contents of it with just a touch. "Effy Limpervil, Dorm A, room 09." Fae looked for a map and found a map, looking through it he found his dorm and began to walk towards it.
"You're Effy right?" A voice called from beside Fae causing him to pause. He searched for the voice but couldn't find it until he looked down. A little girl with bright orange hair could be seen standing next to him holding an umbrella that matched the color of her hair.
"Hey kid, are you lost?" Fae asked as he knew this school didn't take little kids and wanted to make sure she could find her way back to wherever she should be. "I'm not a kid you jerk, I'm 17!" The girl said in a childish tone of anger.
(A/N: Don't worry this is NOT that kind of story.)
'There's no way she's older than me.' Fae thought abruptly, he had just recently turned 16 and found it impossible to believe someone as small and youthful as her could be his elder. "No need to lie kid it's ok yo-" Fae's words were cut as he was met with a hard punch to the stomach. "I thought you'd be something impressive number nine, looks like you just got lucky." The girl said as she walked away from Fae in the direction he was previously headed.
Fae tried to get up but the aching pain in his stomach had brought him down to his knees. That was the hardest hit he had ever taken and he could barely even breathe. {HP: 30/150}
As Fae read this his jaw dropped. 'SHE DID OVER ONE HUNDRED POINTS OF DAMAGE!' Fae knew that if she wanted to she could've easily taken him down.
After a few more minutes Fae stood up and began to continue the walk to his dorm. Once he got to the outside of the dorm building his jaw dropped, the building was huge. It was eleven stories high but the composition of the building was weird. The first floor wasn't too big but the second was huge, it seemed even bigger than a house. As you went up from floor 2 each floor got exponentially smaller up to the eleventh floor which seemed pretty normal in size.
"Well, we're here... we did it." Fae whispered to himself as he walked into the building. Immediately Fae was blasted with a wave of sound. three people were all yelling arguing and even fighting. "You're weaker than me." "You're nothing we could challenge right now." "Shut up!" The room was so disoriented as everyone was yelling and holding different conversations. "Haha" Fae accidentally let off a bit of a laugh at all this causing everyone to pause and turn to him.
"Who's that?" A boy with a scarred face said as he pointed at Fae. "Probably one of the new entries." A girl with a mask covering her entire face said. "Who are you?" A voice suddenly spoke from behind Fae, before he could even turn around a soft stomping was heard coming down the stairs, causing everyone to look in anticipation. Fae felt a phantom pain in his stomach as soon as he saw who was coming down the stairs. Her bright orange hair flowing down.
"Hello Ms. Aluna!" Everyone said as they got on their knees and began to bow to her, everyone but Fae that is. "Get down." The man with the scarred face whispered to Fae trying to save him. "You're new here number nine, so I'll make an exception... on your knees." Aluna spoke with a sort of power and grace that was absent the first time he met her. He couldn't even understand what was happening before Aluna shouted. "NOW!" and a pressure released from her threatening to crush Fae. Fae fell to his knees immediately after, he felt that he probably would've been able to resist the pressure but he didn't want to risk angering Aluna.

"See, he's nothing but a coward. I'd sooner die before I bow in front of another simply because they're stronger." A golden light illuminated a dark space with its words. "Oh no." Crimson said with a sigh.

Aluna soon after left the building, making sure to walk with her chin up to make everyone else feel smaller in comparison.
As Aluna left everyone slowly stood up from their kneeling positions, the girl in the mask was the first to speak to Fae and tried to describe the situation to him.
"Welcome to Dorm A, the dorm for the highest ranking first years. My name is Ciera." Her voice was gruffy and robotic from under the mask, she sounded as if she was stuck with a really bad cough and her throat was left raw. "I don't remember seeing any of you at the tournament, how'd you guys get high rankings?" Fae was confused as he knew if people like Aluna were running around the tournament the outcome could've been very different.
"The entrance exam isn't the only way in, there's special ways a lot of us can get in. I personally qualified for a private test." Ciera said in a matter of factly way. "Oh man, so I could've got in that easy?" Fae asked, saddened he had to take the long route and almost die to get in. "No." Ciera's response was abrupt and slightly cold. "No offense but the qualifications are ANYTHING but easy, I could easily kill you and most other people in this room. That's the kind of strength you need to even think about it." Ciera said with an awkward chuckle. "How would you know how strong I am? I don't remember seeing you at the tournament." Fae was a bit offended she just pushed him to the side like he was someone so weak. "Well I'm in room number five, and you're in room number nine."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Fae didn't understand how the location of his room could dictate who's stronger."
"The receptionists really need to start telling you guys this stuff." Ciera said with a sigh as she continued to explain. "The rooms are divided by power, room number one belongs to the strongest of the first years, where as room ten belongs to the tenth strongest of the first years. Each room is of different luxury and quality depending on your ranking, we even get our own floors."
"Is that why the floors have such weird size variations?" Fae asked referring to how the second floor was the biggest and the floors after slowly decreased. "Yes, starting from the second floor which is reserved for number one, all the way up to room eleven the size decreases each floor along with resources and luxury."
"Oh so Aluna must be rank one, what are these guys?" Joseph said pointing at the two other people in the room. "Aluna is number four." Ciera said causing Fae's whole world to spin. "THERES THREE PEOPLE STRONGER THAN HER?" Fae shouted out, at this point Ciera understood Fae must have had some sort of unpleasant encounter with Aluna's power by this point.
Aluna had almost taken Fae out as easily as if he was a fly, to know there's three people even stronger than her made Fae fell as if he'd never know peace. Ciera continued on, pointing at the scarred man she said. "This is Adrian, he's number eight." She than grabbed the air and suddenly a girl materialized, her hair falling into luscious curls that obscured her full face from view. "This is Julia, she's number six. Don't be alarmed if you can't see her, she does that sometimes." As Ciera let Julia go she once again vanished from view. 'Strange." Fae thought, there was so many distinct and interesting powers and bloodlines he had been seeing. In the back of his mind a hunger began to form, a hunger for those powers, an urge.... to devour.
"Finally this is Marvin, he's rank seven." She pointed at the guy who was screaming the loudest when Fae walked in. "Nice too meet you all, I'm Effy. I'm rank nine I guess." Everyone stared at Fae with varying reactions, from Marvin who seemed more annoyed than anything, to Julia who's figure glimmered in and out of sight with a smile.
"Wait if I'm number nine, who's the last floor for? Who's number ten?"
As Fae finished speaking the door to the building opened again.
