The ground was vibrating as if an earthquake fell on the earth. The running of horses was the one creating the vibration.
Prince Junfeng and his men were running through the bushy road as they chased princess Chu Hua and her guards. The daylight was beginning to fade away, and the moon was eager to replace the sun. The tall trees with plenty of leaves in the forest make the men think that the sun has gone down completely. But thanks to some trees that didn't have enough leaves, it was able to expose a little sight for the men to notice that the sun was a bit shining and about to disappear and create a place for the moon to take over.
The kingdom they were heading to was very far from the Cyprus kingdom. This means they still have a long way to go. Prince Junfeng and his men were running as fast as they could. Unaware of princess Chu Hua and her guards, they weren't running as fast as they were when they left the battlefield. Believing that no one was after them. Furthermore, princess Chu Hua was getting exhausted because of the long journey, so she decided to ask Junjie and his men to slow down. She was about to bring delay so that their enemies would catch up with them, but she wasn't aware of it. Anyway, it wasn't her fault that she was tired. Riding a horse on the bushy road wasn't easy for someone like her. This was the first time she has ridden a horse through the forest, in fact, outside the kingdom.
She was trained how to ride a horse, but she hasn't tried riding it outside the kingdom because her father, king Cheng, never allows her to step outside the kingdom. That was for her safety. King Cheng believed that he was protecting her from all his enemies. It wasn't her fault, nor was it king Cheng's fault. Everyone has a reason for his actions.
Prince Junfeng's attention was only on princess Chu Hua. He wasn't afraid of her sword because he knew that the powers in the sword had gone before she left the battleground. And he was also afraid that Lucifer might show up and fight him. Not because he was afraid of commander Lucifer, it's because he doesn't want someone that will delay or hinder him from taking the princess away. All that occupied his mind was the thought of princess Chu Hua. He isn't afraid if he takes her to his kingdom, and she decides to rise against him one day.
"She will humble herself once she gets to my kingdom." Prince Junfeng's inner mind grumbled.
Now, commander Lucifer, Chao, and every other person who was still breathing were still on the battlefield fighting. Commander Lucifer fell to his knees as he took king Cheng in his hands. Chao took a sword from the ground and went to where commander Bengt was laying half dead.
Chao stood above commander Bengt who was wallowing in the ocean of his blood with pain. Chao spat in his face and yelled, "bloody bastard."
He cut off Bengt's head. Immediately, the remaining men of Gapsin and the Mhezapa saw it, and they fled away. The Cyprus men chased and killed some of them. Out of the millions of men who came to fight in Cyprus, only a few escaped. Blood was everywhere on the battlefield. Millions of men were killed during the battle.
On seeing this, commander Lucifer came back to his senses and looked around, searching for prince Junfeng. When commander Lucifer didn't see prince Junfeng where he felt when he kicked him, commander Lucifer immediately knew that prince Junfeng was after princess Chu Hua.
Commander Lucifer called Chao and left king Cheng in his hands to be taken care of. Chao called his men, and they helped him take the king inside the kingdom to receive treatment. Before they could even take king Cheng from the spot he was laying, commander Lucifer had zoomed off with his horse. He took his sword and a spear in his hand.
The way commander Lucifer was riding the horse was like someone who has been taxed to run to another planet within minutes without stopping. He was furious and his face looked like that of the devil.
The sun was just counting some few minutes to completely disappear from sight.
As princess Chu Hua and her guards were on their traveling tract, princess Chu Hua heard some sounds and voices like that of horses. Princess Chu Hua whispered to Junjie and said, "Something is watching us from a hiding place or some people are after us because I can hear some noises."
When she said so, Junjie signaled his men to stop so that they could listen attentively.
They stopped moving and paid attention to hearing the sound. Before they knew it, prince Junfeng and his men were approaching.
"Sounds of horses!" One of princess Chu Hua's guards screamed out.
"And it seems like they are approaching with speed." One of them added.
"Move!" Junjie shouted.
They began to run again, but it couldn't help because prince Junfeng and his men were almost close to them, and they still had a journey that might take up to thirty minutes. And the darkness was also hindering them from seeing the road clearly.
"There they are!" One of prince Junfeng said. And he then released an arrow at one of the princess' guards. The guard dodged it, and it passed him and mistakenly brushed princess Chu Hua by the arm.
"Don't shoot!" Prince Junfeng yelled at him for shooting the arrow because he wanted the princess alive, and he wanted to avoid seeing her get wounded by any mistake.
Within the tingle of an eye, prince Junfeng caught up with them, and the first person to go down in princess Chu Hua's guards by a sword was the guard that was behind.
"Keep moving and don't stop, Your Highness!" Junjie screamed to the top of his voice as they stopped to fight prince Junfeng.
Princess Chu Hua kept moving on the straight path, even when she didn't know where she was going.
Junjie and his men stood on the road to stop anybody from passing.
They began to fight, but prince Junfeng's target was to get the princess and nothing else. During the fighting, prince Junfeng raised his sword to the sky to strike Junjie, and he blocked it with his sword. Prince Junfeng kicked him so hard on the chest that he fell to the ground. Prince Junfeng turned and helped his men in killing the two men who were fighting them. Junjie was still groaning on the ground.
"Finish him, let me go after the princess." Prince Junfeng said to his men as he climbed his horse and ran off.
When princess Chu Hua heard him coming, she jumped down from the horse while she was still running. She dashed into the forest without fear.
"It's better for me to be eaten by wild animals than being taken away by that devil." Princess Chu Hua mumbled some words to herself. The horse kept running for a minute before it finally stopped.
Junjie gathered all his strength and stood up to fight the two men who were before him. He was weak because he was kicked hard on his manhood by prince Junfeng. The men were laughing at him as they saw him struggling to stand on his feet. As Junjie raised his sword to strike one of them, he hit the sword far away. The second person pierced a sword to his belly and pushed the sword handle again so that it could properly enter. Junjie moans in pain.
"No!" A voice came in. Before the men could turn to see the person who said so, the person holding the sword was already hanging on a spear that commander Lucifer threw, targeting his forehead. The spear pierced through his forehead and his brain split to the ground. The edge of the spear stuck to the ground, and he hung on the sword. Fear gripped his colleague and he was trying to run, but commander Lucifer also threw a sword at his back, and it pierced through his spinal cord until it came out the other side.
Commander Lucifer climbed down his horse and tried to help Junjie, but it was too late to do that.
"Save the princess," Junjie whispered his last words to commander Lucifer's ears as he pointed in the direction headed by the princess. When he was breathless, his hand fell to the ground.
Commander Lucifer looked at him with pity, but he wasn't happy that he couldn't help Junjie. He gently laid Junjie on the ground.
He removed the man hanging on his spear and took it. Likewise, he also went ahead and took his sword. Likewise, he jumped on his horse and went in the direction princess Chu Hua took.
