Raven was laying on his bed inside his room with the lights turned dimmed after some time. He was scrolling through his phone when he realized he had promised Adam that he would play the game tonight. Adam had decided to return home after learning that Raven needed to leave for dinner.
He needed to start packing and arranging his belongings. He wanted to book a hotel, plane, and even decide on a schedule. Adam was determined to make their trip as enjoyable as possible after learning Raven was coming. He also didn't mind that Rachel would be accompanying them.
Raven rested for a while. He sat up and finished drying his hair with a towel nearby. He was dressed casually in an oversized shirt and sweatpants. The boy took the box beside his bed and opened it.
Inside was a while headset, a manual, a charger for said headset and a few other things he didn't care for.
He had a basic understanding of how the headset worked, but people like Adam clearly knew more about it than him. He cursed, knowing he should be doing this with Adam's supervision.
The headset was designed specifically for Limitless Online. There was no need to purchase any additional game cards. Simply purchase it, charge it, and begin playing. Raven set it aside and read the instructions.
It was just simple things like making sure you're in a safe place before using it, eat before hand, and stretching before and after. Raven wasn't going to scratch right now, but maybe later. The rules were straightforward though.
"Let's just do it." Raven turned off his phone and walked over to his door with a 'Do not disturb' sign. He hung it on the doorknob and shut the door, locking it behind him.
He used the sign whenever he wanted to watch a bunch of movies in one sitting. Which was frequent.
Raven sat down on his bed and put on his headset. He turned on the machine after wrapping himself in blankets. When used, the wearer enters an almost dreamlike state. This was widely known.
Raven's entire world disintegrated as he found himself in a field of grass. It seemed to go on forever going far beyond his view.
[Hello, New Player. Welcome to [Limited Online!]
Raven looked around as a feminine voice echoed all around him. He smiled a little because he wasn't in some void or white room like other games had opted for.
[First, please choose how much time you want to spend playing. You will be ejected from the game at the end of the timer and will not be allowed to return for at least three hours for your safety.]
'Wow, clever. I wasn't expecting to see that.' Raven thought as he looked at the screen in front of him.
{2 Hours}
{4 Hours}
{6 Hours
{8 Hours}
Raven thought for a few moments before deciding on six hours. He didn't want to stay in the game for too long because he wanted to play with Adam. He was the sole reason he decided to play the game in the first place.
[Set timer for 6 hours]

"OK, fine."

"It took me far too long to make that decision." Raven expressed his displeasure by shaking his head. He'd spent ten minutes deciding on a username and password. It was a strange. He wasn't going to half-ass it he was going to play this game.
[Username and password set!]
[Please keep in mind that when playing Limitless Online, your starting class, location, and race are completely random.]

"Yes," Raven confirmed.
[Confirmed!]
[Beginning selection...]
[Ding! Congratulations, [Player: Dawn], you have been chosen as the lucky player to receive a one-of-a-kind class and race not available to or accessible to other players!]
[Do you accept: Y/N]
"Sure, why not?" The game was beginning to get Raven's interest now. He couldn't have expected to see something like this. Adam was more knowledgeable about the game than he was, and he never mentioned anything like this.
Raven was curious about this unusual class and race. At the very least, he wouldn't be playing like everyone else, which would make it more enjoyable for him.
[Ding!]
[Class: Dragonic Tyrant]
[Race: Dragon]
[Starting Point: Evergreen Continent, Greenwood Forest]
"Hm." Raven blinked a few times looked at his class and race.
[Class Selected!]
[Race Selected!]
[Location Selected!]
"Wait! Can you please give me some information about my class?!" Raven stated.
[Once in the game, the player can ask the guide any simple questions]
Before Raven could say another word, the world around him shifted and changed rapidly, and he found himself in a lush green forest surrounded by tall oak trees.
(Author: When in game, characters with be refered to as their Username and their real name will be used in the real world)
Dawn looked around him, cursing the game for tossing him into the lion's den like that. He couldn't even ask where he was going.
He knew where he was but had no idea what was going on around him. He was in Greenwood Forest, but where in Greenwood Forest was the question.
Dawn decided not to be a whiny drat and took a look around him. He was in the middle of a forest. That comes as no surprise.
His appearance, on the other hand, was a surprise. He was neither human nor humanoid. Dawn was a dragon, about the size of a dog. He had four legs, two wings on his back, and a tail.
His body was covered in black scales, and he had a deep blue set of eyes and sharp teeth. He would have appeared menacing if it weren't for his size, instead he look like a cute little dragon.
"I must say, this is pretty cool. I also like the graphics and the attention to detail." Dawn stated as she gazed up at the trees. He witnessed everything. The branches sprouting out in different directions. Instead of just a cluster of leaves, he saw every single one separate. Even the pays of light passing through the leaves and falling onto the grass beneath his feet.
It was absolutely stunning!
He had entered his game with very low expectations, but this alone was enough for him to admit that he had been completely wrong about the game. In every aspect of life, first impressions are everything.
This was an excellent first impression. Even the game's starting point was pleasant. He was having a great time so far.
Dawn decided to focus on the task at hand after pausing to take in the sights. He wasn't going to do anything too major until he met up with Adam or saw some other players. Simply get his bearings.
"Status." Dawn explained. Adam had instructed him to check his status as soon as possible once in the game, so he did so.

Immediately after he said that word, a transparent purple screen appeared in front of Dawn. Despite the fact that he didn't play games very often, he knew how everything worked. Dawn was far from ignorant about these topics. The only thing he wasn't aware of were things specifically related to Limitless Online.
The screen faded away after a few seconds.
"I should have asked Adam to come cover. How do I even access my class information?" Dawn muttered to himself. "Status." He said it again, and the screen appeared like the first time.
Dawn raised his paw and clicked his class with his sharp looking talon. Fortunately, it worked! At the very least, he now understands how to view information for things in his status screen.
[Dragonic Tyrant is only available to one player at a time. Following the death of the player, the next person to join Limitless Online will receive this class. The player with the class will be of the Dragon race by default. It is a class with numerous benefits and drawbacks for the player who holds it. Examples include:
•The player has only one life. Unlike other players, who respawn after death, the darer of this class loses their account when they die. This doesn't apply if the player is in certain events.
•The player with this class will gain 50% less EXP if they kill a magical beast or any animal. When the player kills another player or person, the EXP gained is significantly increased.
•While other players are not allowed to destroy public cities or towns, the one with this class is and can be rewarded for doing so.
•Every dragon or subspecies of a dragon will be more likely to obey you]
Dawn paused for a moment after reading about his class. His class astounded the dragon. He didn't believe something like this should be permitted in the game. After reading it a few more times, Dawn realized it still had a few major flaws.
One of them is that he only has one life, and if he dies, that's the end of him. POOF! Gone! Say bye-bye to hours of work! Sayonara!!
If he kills a player, they can simply respawn and come back for him later, but at least he gets a higher reward for killing players.
Unfortunately, he can't just go around grinding EXP off magical breasts because it would take too long.
Dawn realized he needed to stay away from other people for a while, at least until he can hold his own. Others will be further ahead than him because they have had a month to play. Or, at the very least, until he runs into someone he knows.
"Let's see where we can go." Dawn mumbled as she looked around, but all he saw was forest, forest, and more forest. He froze when another screen appeared in front of his view.
[Ding! Player has received a Start Pack!]
[Open Start Pack: Y/N]
"Of course!" Dawn shouted.
[Ding! Started Pack has been used...]
[Congratulations! Player has gained: 10 Copper Coins, 10 Stat Points, One Random Innate Attribute, Mini Map]
"Oh." Dawn said examining everything had had gottu. The coins were most likely used to purchase items when he arrived at an NCP. Obviously, the stat points were used to boost his stats.
It was the Innate Attribute he was unaware of, as the mini map self-explanatory. Dawn clicked his it with his claw.
[An [Innate Attribute] is an attitude that someone of a certain race is born with. Elves, for example, are typically born with Water, Air, or Earth attributes. The lucky ones gain a Plant or even a Nature attribute]
"Ah, I see. That makes sense." Dawn nodded. The attributes were like magic in a sense. Water attribute is like water magic. "Use it."
[Ding! Congratulations! Player has gained: [Fire] attribute!]
Dawn nodded, having anticipated this. What kind of dragon would he be if he didn't have the fire attribute? It was package deal. What is a dragon if it cannot breathe fire?
Dawn spent a few minutes distributing his stat points and going over some details. He examined the mini map and saw nothing but forest. Sighing, he walked forward, eager to discover this new game.
So far, he was definitely liking it.
