"Does this forest have no end?" Dawn stated as he looked around. He hadn't been walking long, but the forest seemed to get worse with each step he took.
The trees grew in size, and they were now started to block out most of the sunlight. He sighed as he looked at the mini map. Maybe he shouldn't have went north in the first place. South would have been a much better choice, but he wasn't going back now.
At the very least, all the creatures around him kept him busy. Nothing out of the ordinary, just small animals one might find in a forest. They even made a sounds! Dawn had checked, and they each made their own sound!
When he had walked away from them, their sounds began to fade and he heard new nosies coming from the animals that were now close to him. Everything felt so real. Almost too real at times.
Dawn was also attempting to understand how to use his attribute. Maybe if he concentrates hard enough, something will happen, he doubted, but it was worth a shot. So he tried making a small fire ball. It worked, much to his surprise!
In front of him, a small ball of fire appeared and floated in the air.

"So that's how it works. Three MP for this?" Dawn commented as he moved the fireball around. "I suppose it's fair."
•[HP: 42/42] · [MP: 26/30]•
Dawn frowned at his MP once more. The game was now taking itself far too seriously. His MP will fall if he continues to control it?! That's a little much, isn't it?
Dawn began to understand why people, including adults, enjoy playing this game. Even if it was just about exploring the landscape, it would still be nice to play.
Dawn pushed a little harder, and the fireball fell to the ground. He walked over to the burning glass and extinguished the small flames with his paw. He hummed and continued his journey.
Dawn had only been walking for a few minutes when he noticed a purple dot on the mini map. One could argue that he should not approach it because it could be dangerous, and he only has one life, so he must be extra cautious.
Dawn, on the other hand, was a curious little dragon. The majority of the time, he is far too curious for his own good. He wouldn't do it in real life because he enjoys living, but what is life without a little danger? (famous last words)
Dawn walked steadily towards whatever it was. Dawn kept checking his mini map until he was close enough to hear its footsteps. Dawn poked his head out from behind a tree. He blinked when he realized it was a wolf, just an old wolf.
Gray fur, slightly smaller than him. Kinda menacing in appearance. There was no doubt about it. He sighed and walked quietly to any tree. Dawn was curious to see what it was up to.
He hid behind trees for a minute, watching it until he realized it wasn't doing anything. Simply lying on the grass. Dawn was on the verge of hitting himself. What did he expect? For the wolf to lead him to some hidden cave brimming with treasure and riches.

'I guess it's useful. I'm not complaining about a few free skills, it's better than nothing.' Dawn reflected as he gazed at the wolf. He crept over to a tree behind it. Dawn braced himself before leaping forward.
He slashed at the wolf's back with his talons, forming deep slashes in it's back. The wolf jumped up and growled at him. It shuffled away from him, its body trembling violently. Its wounds were gushing with blood, staining the lush green grass red.
Dawn's gaze darted back and forth between his claws and the wolf. He didn't expect it to do so much damage. He also wasn't expecting it to be this bloody. Dawn had to lie about his age and say he was sixteen in order to get the headset when they went to buy it.
The guy at the register didn't seem to care; he simply stated that the game is quite bloody, and he wasn't lying. Dawn wasn't too concerned, but it was still a bit unsettling.
When the wolf rushes up to him, daring its fangs, he jolted out of his reverie. Dawn stepped back, creating a fireball above his head. It bolted towards the wolf, leaving a red trail of small sparks behind it.
The wolf jumped up, avoiding it, and then dove toward Dawn. The dragon's eyes widened briefly but quickly returned to normal. Dawn took a step forward, and when the wild beast got close enough, he leapt up and sank his fangs into his neck.
They both collapsed on the floor and trashed around for a while. The wolf tried to scratch Dawn with his claws, but he only got a few scratches on his scales dealing very little damage. Dawn's teeth dug deeper until the wolf stopped.
He let go, letting the lifeless body fall to the floor. Dawn arrived soon after, laying on the blood-soaked grass. He sighed as he looked up at the sky.

Without a doubt, one of the most gruesome games he's ever played. Hopefully, he'll grow accustomed to it in time. He got to his feet and looked at the wolf's body, noticing something floating above it.
[Collect: Y/N]
Yes, he clinked. The body gradually faded away until there was nothing left of it. The blood on the grass even began to fade, which was a welcome relief.

[Wolf Pelt ×4]
[Wolf Meat ×5]
[Wolf Fang ×4]
[Wolf Claw ×3]
[Everything has been added to your [Inventory]. Say the word "Inventory" to gain access.]
"Uhm. Inventory?" Dawn stated.
A blue gridded screen with four grids with icons on them appeared in front of you. Dawn looked at the top of the screen and saw how many slots there were and how many were occupied.
[Slots: 4/25]
Dawn pressed it. Another text-filled screen appeared next to it.
[Each slot can only hold 50 of that item type. Slot one, for example, can only hold 50 Wolf Pelt. When the limit is reached, a new slot will be used (Inventory can be ungraded in the Guild Hall shop)]
"I see. I guess that's okay." Dawn walked away from the scene. Dawn moved through the forest, killing a slew of wolves after that brief encounter.
Dawn would sneak up on them and kill them as quickly and with as little effort as possible. That's when he noticed the sun was setting. Limitless Online's day and night cycle was obviously faster than in real life.
It lasts four hours, divided into day and night. Two hours of day and two hours of night. Dawn hadn't expected it to be so long, but Limitless Online was a game that prioritized how much time you can spend in the game.
You will fall behind if you do not devote enough time to the game. The game's overall concept didn't do anything new, but it went way more in depth than other games did.
Unfortunately, Dawn discovered while slaying all of the wolves that not every wolf provided the same amount of EXP. Some of them gave ten, while others gave six. Dawn considered that the EXP he was gaining had been halved, so if any other player had killed as many wolves as he has, they would have most likely leveled up by now.
Dawn was exploring the forest as the sun was setting when he froze. Water. He dashed towards it, his eyes wide open. Fortunately, he was correct. Dawn ran and came across a river.
Finally!
He was getting so sick of just seeing trees the entire time.

'Oh, I should have tested that sooner. It's such a simple skill too.' Dawn sighed and made his way down to the river. Dawn saw himself for the first time. To be honest, he thinks he looks pretty good. Not particularly frightening, but intriguing.
Dawn looked deeper into the river and noticed several fish, but unlike the wolves, the fish appeared more fantasy-like. Some were quite large, with thin bright purple scales. He was curious to see how much EXP he would gain from them.
However, after some thought, he realized that it wasn't a great idea. Dawn was confident that they would outswim him. It would only take him a few seconds to reach them, by which time they would have already swam away.
Dawn sat down near the river. His claw was in the water, causing small ripples to appear in the clear water.

Dawn sat on the grass for a while, assessing his situation. He was on the verge of leveling up. Perhaps two or three more wolves will get him there.
After a while, the sky had darkened and Dawn had yet to move. He sighed and stood up to take one last look at the now dark river, but he came to a halt. Dawn examined looked more closely... a cave? It appears to be a cave.
It was also emitting light.
He didn't know how he hadn't noticed it before. Dawn's curiosity was piqued, and when he looked at the map, he saw a LOT of purple dots.
"So more beasts come out at night." He mumbled look at how much time he had left. He had a little more than three hours before the game ejected him.
He'd rather take the risk in the cave than in the forest right now. Dawn was confident he could defeat most of the wolves in a one-on-one fight, but not a pack of them.
He has too many targets to deal with. He had magic, but he didn't have much MP. Dawn fought with the help of magic.
Dawn returned his gaze to the river and took a few moments to reflect. He sighed and dove in, swimming towards the cave with his legs and tail. All of the sea creatures swam away when they saw him.

Dawn moved quickly and hoisted his talons onto the rock of cave's entrance. He pushed himself into the cave and noticed that the water did not reach all the way inside. It was as if there was an invisible barrier preventing it from progressing any further.
He was, however, able to overcome it. Dawn emerged from the water and landed on the stone ground.
