You wouldn't recognise Pericolosa now, sitting by the big window in a classroom that can accommodate up to 100 students, each desperate to become the next big thing in the world. Pericolosa thinks to herself that one of them is going to be the next CEO of Google. Then she thinks about herself, what will become of her?
Nothing goes around in her mind when the Professor shows up in the auditorium, Pericolosa finds herself standing up from her seat along with the other students. Pericolosa is not Pericolosa right now. She is Mia. She is dressed in a white checked dress that goes down to her knees with a set of glasses sitting neatly on her high bridged nose. Her hair is parted in the middle as always and her heart-shaped necklace dangles by her neck. She looks different as Tony said earlier when they were leaving the house, and David agreed too. Thinking about Tony, she looks over at the other side of the classroom. She finds Tony sitting by the wall not standing up. He looks like he is tired, must be jet lag, Pericolosa thinks.
She needs to stop calling herself Pericolosa. She is Mia, right now.
Mia immediately darts her eyes towards the professor when Tony catches her looking at him. Nobody should know that they both know each other. They are on a mission and she can't afford to fail on the first day. She can't afford to fail at all. David was mad when she finalised the deal but later gave in. They are now in New York and it is important for her to prove herself and show why she is called Pericolosa. Not right now but, right now she is Mia.
"Good Morning, everyone." The professor is a man in his fifties or sixties, he seems normal. It is a weird habit of Mia to examine each and every man that she comes across. Being a mafia leader gives you weird habits after all. "Welcome to New York's number one business school."
A wave goes through Mia's mind and she is distracted the next second when the students sit right back. The fact that she was in Italy just a few days ago, killing people left and right and now she is here in between a bunch of people in their 20s just like Mia but also very different from Mia. Nobody knows her here, nobody knows that she has blood on her hands. Nobody knows that she is here to get more blood on her hands.
The commotion begins when the professor who introduces himself as Sam starts asking random students their names. There are more than 80 students here and Mia is irritated to think that she will have to go through a bunch of youngsters talking like successful entrepreneurs when in reality they are just qualified enough to be employed as managers at the best.
Mia has seen the picture of her target. The picture was the one where he was smiling prettily at the camera. His shallow dimples on the display with the tight-lipped smile. Mia's eyes are roaming all around the classroom but she cannot find him. She is not happy.
Tony shifts in his seat when he observes Mia searching the room. He knows who she is looking for and to say the least, he is also desperately looking for him. Tony wishes that their eyes meet again, at least for a second. He knows the reasoning behind his wish too. He wants Mia to look for him as desperately as she is looking for her target, Carys Jones. He is so jealous of Carys Jones, he is not even here yet but Mia is desperate for him. Tony is willing to be a target if that means that Mia will look for him that desperately.
The professor smiles widely after he looks at the shining enthusiasm in the eyes of his students. He is happy and kind of sees himself in them. His eyes for a second rest on Mia and he is immediately amused. The girl looks around the classroom as if she is searching for something but is oblivious to the teacher looking right at her.
"The white dress. By the window, third last row." The professor calls out and the students immediately turn their heads in the direction. All the eyes are on Mia and Mia's eyes are finally on the teacher.
Mia took a deep breath. The one thing you must know about Mia is the fact that she will be prepared, always. She would create three plans while executing a target and maybe also create a secret fourth plan with Tony preceded by the fifth secret plan with Samantha.
"Yes. sir." Mia says. She has a subtle accent but you wouldn't make out her ethnicity by her looks. She is pale and would be called American by Americans.
The professor is however a little clever. "Can you give a brief description about yourself?" He says.
"Hello everyone-"
Mia has just started giving out the information about herself, the information that she has prepared with Tony and David last night but she is interrupted. The door which was shut by the professor when he entered the room is now wide open.
A man has appeared out of the lobby. The eyes which were on Mia are now darted towards the door of the room. Mia felt a wave of relief wash over herself but it disappears as soon as it has come.
Mia meets the eyes of the human who is standing by the door. The man is tall, and a little tan which indicates that he has been on a luxury beach vacation and has curly hair. Mia looks at him for a second and then immediately looks down at her desk as if she has seen a cheat code for a lottery ticket.
"Carys Jones." The professor addresses the man. Tony's eyes haven't left Mia ever since the professor made her stand up. Unluckily, he has also seen Carys entering the room and Mia looking at him like he belongs to her.
"I'm so sorry for getting late, Sam." Carys' voice is exactly what Mia has imagined it to be. Is it bad that Mia has imagined Carys' voice as soon as she looked at his picture? She thinks.
"You can continue." The professor then talks to Mia after Carys has taken a seat right in the front.
"My name is Mia," She speaks a little louder now when she sees Carys' back from the place where she stands. Tony notices this, he notices everything.
