Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Burgundy Room

Brinley's Prov

I sat up with a pounding headache. As I looked around the room I took in the scenery. Dark chocolate wood floors, Floor to ceiling mirrors, Motion sensing cabinet lights, exquisite pictures, yet what caught my eye was Drew standing in a doorway staring daggers into my soul. "Not even 24 hours and you've already tried to escape." his tone sounded like a question, but it had so much venom underlining it I didn't know if i should speak or keep quiet. "ANSWER ME!" he roared, causing me to flinch. "I wanted to go home; I didn't ask for this life." I yelled at him with tears in my eyes. I shouldn't have done that, that was rule 52 don't yells at Mr. Starr or you will be punished. In the blink of an eye Drew had me over his shoulder and in a different room. He threw me down on the bed like I was a sack of potatoes. "You broke one of my major rules, now this is your punishment." Drew said, turning away from me. Even with tears streaming down my face i wasn't going to let him break me. "If you're going to punish me, get to it don't be a bitch.'' Once those words came out of my mouth the whole atmosphere in the room changed. In an instant I was slapped off the bed. Guess he wasn't a bitch. I stood up and laughed "is that all you got?" all i had done was make him angrier but this was he true self. A vicious animal.

Brinley truly was different than my last pet. I didn't mean to slap her as hard as I did but it didn't seem to even faze her. Which made my blood boil. I walked over to her and grabbed her by her throat and slammed her against the wall. "Do you think I'm playing with you sweetheart?" I said and raised an eyebrow. Her silence was infuriating. I released my neck from my hands and watched her body drop to the ground as she struggled to catch her breath. "I hope you die!" She spat back at me as I went and grabbed a pair of handcuffs and the snakeskin belt. without a word I lifted her up from the ground and laid her on her stomach handcuffing her and interloping the handcuffs to the headboard. "You hope I die but Sweetheart, I'm already dead." with those words I tore the sweatpants from her body leaving nothing on her but the red lace underwear. As she went to say something I swung the belt making the first laceration.

It felt like lighter fluid had been lit throughout my body. Every hit got harder and rougher to the point where my backside became numb, and tears just rolled out of my eyes. Finally Drew stopped and untied me. All I could do was lay there I couldn't feel the lower half of my body and the air hitting me made my body shake fiercely. "Bridget will be in shortly to fix you up; I hope you've learned your lesson on trying to escape Brinley." I refused to answer him. I swear he was the devil himself

"She's laying in the bed, cleaning up her wounds and leaving her there." Drew said to me before he walked back to his room. I didn't even want to imagine what I was going to walk into this room and see the state he left the poor girl in. I opened the door to see the girl stripped of her underwear and handcuffed to the headboard. "I'm Bridget and I'm going to clean up your wounds, okay?" She didn't reply, only grunted in response. Her wounds were worse than I've ever seen before. Drew really overdid it this time. The lacerations were deep and gaping. Regular mundane pain medicine wouldn't to it. With a flick of my fingers my aura flowed to my hands. I was a witch of emotion my father would say. "This will hurt." I said to her as I hovered my hands over her bottom. "Sana." as my magic flowed through her gaping wounds knitting the skin back together all she could do was scream and honestly, I would be too. I finally finished healing her after 30 minutes. At the end she passed out from the pain of me healing her. Drew could have easily fed her vampire blood to heal her but not because he wanted this child to feel pain. It only infuriated me, and he would feel my wrath.

"How is Bridget, will she be fine?" Drew said, leaning against the railing of the stairs. My only response was reaching out and slapping the holy hell out of him. "She is a seventeen-year-old girl. How could you do such a thing?" my neck and ears turned beet red. I was furious, no one deserved that kind of treatment. "You should know your place witch." he went out to reach out and grab me and with a single look i had him on the ground wincing in pain holding his head. A simple parlor tricks my mom taught me as a child as a defense mechanism. "I am stronger than you drew, I can rip your heart out of your chest with one word don't try me." with that i walked away and left him there on the floor. I was a Luis witch; no vampire was a match for me.
