Drew's Prov
The smell of rose's flooded from her room. She must have just finished in the shower with the body wash and shampoo that Jade had given her. I had been having my eyes on her for months. My last pet didn't do it for me. beauty? Yes. long golden blonde hair? Yes, but there was something missing in her. A fire. Most royals want a pet that is obedient, mannered, quiet but that's not what I wanted. I needed a girl that would test me, and Brinley was all of that.
Brinley's Prov
I had put on foundation, concealer, blush, and red sparkly lipstick. All a part of the rules that I was bound to follow. I didn't put the makeup on for him I had done it for me. To remind me of the girl i used to be before I was captured. I left the heels in the room I wasn't going to break my neck trying to walk down these steep stairs in those things. I knew I would have consequences for not wearing the entire outfit but hey he can shove those heels up his ass.
Down in the living room he paced back and forth like he was nervous about my arrival. It sounded stupid but it was the only explanation I could come up with. A royal vampire pacing around in his own home because of a human. Definitely did not make sense but it was the only explanation I could come up with. Coming down the stairs he stopped mid step and looked me up and down. The way he looked at me made my cheeks turn beet red which had not happened since I was in third grade when Tommy spilled his apple juice on me and claimed I peed on myself. "You look beautiful Brinley." He said becoming a bit flush in the face. So, dressing half naked makes him frazzled. Noted. Rolling my eyes as I walked past him. I sat on the end of the couch feeling the floor threw my feet. It was better than sitting making awkward eye contact with him.
When I thought, the silence was going to eat me alive a girl with long dirty blonde hair and a male with platinum blonde hair came through the front door killing the endless silence all together. "You must be Drew's new plaything." the blonde said with a smile so bright I thought I was going to go blind. I responded with a grunt then turned back to looking down at my feet. She seemed nice with so much energy for so late at night, but I guess this would be their mornings. Time flew by and the blonde had barely shut her mouth. I knew vampires didn't need air, but I truly wish she would have needed it at least for a solid minute. The platinum blonde that I had learned name was Skyler said a minimum number of words other than when he was talking about how "Mr. Starr" should be using his new pet. Luckily it was 5: 50 and the sun would then be rising for an hour. "Jade, we have to get going, the sun will be among us before we know." Skyler had said getting up from the couch. Drew rose with them and walked to the door. "Bye Brinley, we are goanna become such great friends I can feel it." Jade had called back to me as she left into the cold Alaska night. Highly doubt I'll become friends with her, but I'll let her figure that out when I escape in the daylight.
Skyler's Prov
"She seems very standoffish don't you think brother?" my sister had said to me, but I was only halfway paying her attention. Something about that girl was different. She had spunk, she fired something in me that no pet ever had. " You can't lie to me brother, I saw the way you looked at her, you want her for yourself." Jade said, hitting me on my side. I could never lie to jade and get away with it but saying it out loud to my baby sister about my best friend's pet would be unforgivable but worse because she was a pet not a vampire or royal. She was human and falling for a human was punishable by death. "Give her two weeks tops and draw will drain her dry, that's what I think about her." The duration of the ride I looked for my own pet but all I could think about was Brinley. Her dark brown hair, her beautiful ivory skin that made her deep blue eyes stand out. The way she was so uncomfortable and nervous in the outfit that drew her in that showed everything that would make any vampire want to Draine her dry. "Skyler, your fangs are protruding." Jade said with a laugh. "I guess Brinley has affected you more than you want to let on big brother." I sat there in the car in silence after Jade got out. Sadly, Jade was right I wanted Brinley for myself.
