Two Years Ago
It was very sunny day, in Conrad University the trees were in bloom and the compound was covered with petals that has fallen beautifully portraying spring has come. The campus was crawling with couples everywhere making singles feelings very gloomy. Coming through the gate was a young man in his mid-twenties, tall, muscular with short slight wavy dark brown hair styled upward, very beautiful blue colored smiley eyes, sharp-edged nose. His appearance could easily attract people towards him, Shaun was very handsome. Moreover he looked very stylish wearing sky blue shirt that looked very good on him. As he was walking nonchalantly many of the girls were looking in awe impressed by his looks. It was his first day back at school after taking time off for two years.
"Hi, my name is James, nice to meet you. Never seen you before I know almost everyone in this campus. They call me social butterfly. And what do they call you?" a very strange and talkative kid approached him casually putting his hand on Shaun's shoulder. But Shaun didn't want to answer, his very reserved and introverted behavior kept him from getting people close to him. The main reason for that is, he has always thought of humans as very pretentious beings. He had experienced it before.
He just ignored James shaking him off his shoulder and went his way, "Wow, you just keep going your way?" James was kind enough to accept it like a joke.
Walking past the main road to the main building, James kept following James like a cute puppy talking about many and different things, Shaun was very annoyed and couldn't help but smile at the end by the countless rattling of the kid. "Finally!" said James his face wore expression saying that he was very content with his actions. Just when they reached at the entrance of one classroom, "Why on the earth do you keep following me?" Shaun asked James curiously. "Obviously cause we are going to the same lecture room, aren't you taking Professor Lawrence's class?" asked back James nonchalantly. Shaun was bit embarrassed by his words and quietly grabbed a sit just at a place no one would notice him and James managed to sit just next to him.
Just when he was about to take a breather from James's words, there entered a girl who snatched his entire attention the moment he laid his eyes on her face. She was tall, fair skin with Big round brown eyes, round shaped face showing her white gleaming teeth as she was wearing smiley expression. Her long black silky hair was flowing back as she took every step. Wearing black clothes that made her look chic and intimidating she snatched Shaun's entire attention.
"Ohm so she is the type you like?" James was very quick to catch that Shaun seems interested in the girl who just entered the class. But Shaun was just spacing out.
"Her name is Jane, she is one of the smartest student in this school and obviously one of the hottest…" James aroused Shaun's interest to the fullest and "Hey, pretty" and went back hugged Jane and turned 360 degrees before putting her back. "You crazy asshole, put me down." Jane spitted those words as he put her down. And Shaun just couldn't believe his eyes. He was thinking about how of all the many guys handsome and cool, James was the one hugging the prettiest girl he saw since he entered the campus. Shaun immediately felt pathetic by his thoughts and he looked down not to be disappointed in himself anymore. Unlike his wills, Shaun was stealing glances at Jane the entire time the professor was talking and was thinking about how James just hugged her.
"That's all for today, have a nice day." The professor ended his lecture and went out. Shaun was very curious on how James knows Jane.
"James, how do you know her, I mean Jane?" he asked cautiously, as he couldn't hold his curiosity.
"Aha you have something to say to me now." James was having fun teasing Shaun, but didn't stall more trying to talk to Shaun like he was doing earlier "See you tomorrow." James got up to leave, as he was getting out Shaun called him.
"Uhm, James. My name is Shaun."
James smiled and went out after Jane.
