Chapter 19 - A Virgin Alpha

Akrem.

[Darn it, Arianell! I'm going at full throttle to you but it feels like a losing game. I had to refrain myself from wanting you. The curse of being meticulous alpha, I need to know if I'm taking the right decision.

If you're not a she-wolf, then you'll suffer in the Akhmedov clan. Even if you were a werewolf, it's still possible that you feel unaccepted because of distinctive ways of life the Akhmedov clan has.

Even if you were a wolf, I would still stay beside you most of the time to teach you everything. And if you're not a wolf, it can be even worse…]

Iron startled me from drowning in my own thoughts. He asked,

"You haven't mated with her, have you?"

I acted dumb so I replied,

"Hm…? What?"

Then Iron narrowed his eyes behind his glasses telling that he disagreed with my false pretending stupidity. The next thing he did was criticized me,

"You know what, 'Krem? Acting dumb doesn't suit you at all, AT ALL!"

He ended his line now with both eyes almost popped out of his head because he was so annoyed that made me chuckled,

"Okay… okay you got me. Doesn't suit me at all, ya? Do you think I'm that smart?"

He replied with one eyebrow lifted so high if a head could reach the top of the building, his would be already on top of it as a statement that I didn't need to ask again. His expression told that it was obvious.

"Like thousand times I've told you, I might be the iron fist, but you're the alpha because you and your clan are more advanced than mine. If we both live side by side, all of the members in my Gursala clan would be the Beta for your Akhmedov clan. My clan preserves the old ways of living because we need to train our iron fists in the nature. But your clan is more advanced because yours explore the technology just like humans do. Machine guns will always be more superior than mere iron fists."

I inhaled a long deep breath as I had just listened to his explanation then released the air filled in my lungs slowly.

"I don't know what I would do without you, Iron." I shared my deepest thought to him. "You've been such a great guidance. It's a shame I felt like I'm the one who is trained to be the beta."

Then Iron's facial expression softened showing that he cared more than anything,

"You're not out in the real battle yet, thus you feel this way. I am being like this is only because I have some experiences in battles with rogue vampires."

I looked him in the eyes and showed my greatest curiosity,

"Then… when 'Ron?" I sounded like I was desperate not knowing my path of being alpha would be.

"Soon, 'Krem. I'll tell you what I've been doing with Diamond and the rest of the pack. But let's get back to my previous question. Consider this as you've letting all your excessive baggage go from all of your system before you're going into battles. You make love to your lover!"

I widened my eyes surprised by Iron's almost vulgar statement,

"It's supposed not to work like that. Arianell isn't just a chick that I have to bang because I have to go to battles and helping me to focus. She's my mate! She's an exception."

"Ya, like there are others…," Iron suddenly replied with mocking intonation.

"What?" I was puzzled by his remark.

"Hmm?" he answered with another mocking question like I had done another stupid thing.

"What do you mean by that?" now it was my turn to narrow my eyes showing I didn't really like what he was implying.

"Oh c'mon 'Krem. You're a virgin." Iron stated it like he was telling me my neighbor had just mowed the lawn, something that was so dull to be said in the morning. He had his flat expression while I was furious from what he had implied.

"What? Is that obvious?" I couldn't believe my own voice that sounded so high in the air almost choked.

"I can smell you, you absurd alpha." He let out a satisfying laugh for being able to mock me.

I let out a heavy sigh that made Iron was even more curious,

"Don't you have dreams of banging Arianell in the all-know library? How does it feel to hold all those urges?"

Another sigh I made now with a maddening anger,

"Hell 'Ron! It was hell! I wanna be with her so bad. I dreamed about her on top of me, under me, I can't think straight!"

He replied with the most logical answer,

"Then tell her to mate with you."

I widened my eyes hoping he'd catch my optimistic next line,

"But I kissed her on her forehead" I smiled, wide.

He left the tip of his right eyebrow,

"Clever! You marked her. You don't mate with her, but you've marked her. "

"Just in case, 'Ron. I don't want my Luna to be devoured by other supernatural beings"

His agreeable nodding finally came,

"Awesome! If anyone tries to touch her, then the other supernatural being will catch your scent and think twice to devour an Akhmedov werewolf prince's mate. It'll be the death of him. So, why haven't you mated with her? What makes you hesitate?"

Then I replied with the biggest fear that made me feel like I was losing the game,

"She's not a she-wolf. I need to be sure... "

Surprisingly, he accidentally stated a secret that he was supposed to keep to a dead one,

"Yet... "

"What? What do you mean by 'yet'?" I mimicked the way he said the word. "More reason, I guess it's unnecessary to mate before the wedding night. I want it to be special for us, especially for her."

He smiled dumbfounded and mumbled,

"Hmm?"

Now he was the one who was being annoying. I guessed we belonged to one pack anyway. We practically almost had the same personality trait. We're extremely annoying. Hence I asked him again without giving up,

"Oh, C'mon. Stop playing stupid beta. I know you know something about her. She's not just some human Empath, is she?"

My curiosity was driving me like crazy. But still, he didn't flinch,…
