Akrem.
I showed Iron my ignorance face because I knew exactly he wasn't supposed to talk like that to his alpha. He was just being annoyed, so I forgave him. But I was in silence then he realized I wasn't happy with his last remark.
"Apologies, my mighty alpha. I was out of line. So what do we do, next?"
To my surprise, he let me decide. Confidence finally got in me so I said,
"So here's the thing, we'll be students in the days, and vampire slayers at nights?" my question was more like an order rather than a real question confirming to his superior. After all, I was his alpha.
Iron nodded with full agreement,
"Yup, just until vampires know they're not safe to hunt down humans."
Then he continued,
"This can be the exercises for you as well to be a better alpha. To be the best, you need to start from the basic. Be old, be a werewolf who takes down the rogue vampires that feed on human."
"I know. " I said, "I've been reading about it all my life in the Green Valley center library. Now it's time to put all the theory I've read to the test."
And in sync Iron carried on my next line,
"We basically God's troop to fight the vampires and protect the humans."
I put both of my hands on Iron's shoulders and showed my serious face while glaring with determination at him,
"WE ARE! "I frowned with emphasis.
Then I showed him my mischievous face,
"Aaand... we need a back-up"
Iron flattened his expression,
"You mean you need Arianell? You meant that you need your Empath guardian to hunt the rogue vampires?"
His questions were rethorical and I grinned so wide.
"Shall we call her to make it official?" I asked him too eagerly.
Slightly opening his mouth, Iron was about to answer when my phone rang. It was Arianell,
"Speak of the beautiful angel... "I said before I answered her call and Iron rolled his eyes. I put her on the speaker phone so the three of us could hear our conversation.
"Yes, Anne?"
"Hey, 'Krem. Is Iron with you? "
"Anne, I'm extremely jealous, that was your first question. I'm so sad you don't ask me. "I grinned at Iron mischievously. Again, Iron rolled his eyes.
"Ow… sorry dear. It was just this is an emergency and I need both of you with Iron as well. Daniel texted he said he has a lead in dad's murder investigation. I told him to call later when both of you are here. Is Iron really there, 'Krem? "
Before I got the chance to answer, Iron suddenly shouted,
"I'm here 'Nell. We'll be there in a few. "
"Ah thank God, 'Ron. I don't have to look for you. Might you still be with Diamond, I don't wanna disturb. "Arianell's voice sounded cheering and I hated it. It seemed like she was happier to know that Iron was here, instead of really calling me.
But this was my style, my pack, so I asked Iron,
"Running there? "I shot my enthusiastic expression to Iron suggesting we were going to run in wolf form to save the time.
Iron replied with cheerful face and a lift of his eyebrows with a bit nod.
"Anne, can you prepare two big towels as usual, we're gonna run there." I ordered her, instead of asking. Sometimes I forgot she's not my queen yet, but she's a queen in my heart obviously.
"What? You two mean pups. I'm not a wolf shelter. And can't you just ride your red Ducati, 'Krem? I miss it." Arianell's voice sounded spoiled and begging.
And I got the best devilish plan to tempt her,
"You miss my Ducati more than you miss me? Not even my warm naked body? "I lowered my voice to become husky. Iron rolled his eyes again for I didn't know how many thousand times he did that.
He mouthed 'lovey-dovey' in silence with big open mouth.
I grinned hiding my chuckles so Arianell couldn't hear me.
"Akrem! I swear I'd punch you when you're here. Iron would think that we ever... "Arianell stopped her sentence when she heard Iron and I giggled too loud.
She finally realized that I was just teasing her. I could almost hear her face flattened an expression. She sounded annoyed.
"You two now mean cubs. Boys! You're lucky this is important. Be here in a few and I'll prepare two big towels with my two biggest t-shirts."
Arianell hung up her phone leaving Iron and I surprisingly looked at each other just like our mom just scolded us. Then we finally let out a big laughter. If in our wolf form, we'd be rolling on the floor laughing.
"Shall we?" I asked my beta.
"After you, sire." Iron bowed with courtesy. Stepping back a few, he gave me space on the balcony because I had bigger body.
I shifted then I howled to the moon. I looked back at Iron whose glasses he put neatly on the kitchen table near the balcony. He wouldn't need it because we'd only go to Arianell's place and usually we got back to mine so he could pick up all his things. Spent night at mine or went home to his place or Diamond's.
I jumped from the third floor of my apartment's balcony to the dark empty road. It was always easier to run in the night. People would only think that we were just a bunch of dogs instead of a wolves pack.
We were invisible, but we were deadly to rogue vampires.
I ran at full throttle. That night, I was so eager to see Arianell, I almost forgot I was running with Iron so I slowed down, only finding him beside me. Apparently he knew I wanted to be there faster. Then I ran at my full speed again.
It didn't take more than 10 minutes that we arrived at Arianell's opened door balcony which was around 6 miles away from my place. Two big white towels and t-shirts were folded on a single chair in the balcony.
Arianell wasn't there on a sight. She knew she gave the privacy to us, wolves to shift and wore the towels for our lower body parts and a t-shirt to cover our bare chest.
Iron already set with his towel and T-shirt. I let my bare chest exposed my 8 packs. I really needed Arianell's naked body and smooth skin on mine. I wanted to keep her warm. Walking with bare chest helped to spread the pheromones, maybe it would attract her badly.
I took a look at Iron's direction, and he was just shaking his head looking at my silly attitude,
"Show-off!" he said. I only giggled and called for Arianell softly while stepping into her bedroom. Her balcony only attached to her bedroom.
"Anne?"
