Chapter 26 - An Invitation

Akrem.

"Will you wait for me? Or would you like to go home?" I asked Arianell if she wanted to wait for me. I was afraid she'd be exhausted after her first real reading as the guardian Empath, the real reading for us the werewolves to hunt on the battlefield.

She smiled effortlessly, but still, I could see the weariness on her fair face. Before she started to speak, I made the sentence for her,

"I'll ask one of them to accompany you home. Please get some rest, ok, dear… "

She slightly open her mouth like she was about to complain but I acted fast by kissing her on her forehead. I was just hoping she'd melt. And Thank moon goddess, she did. She closed her eyes and I could hear her mind so loud in my head,

[Hmm… calming, 'Krem. I feel safe. Okay, I'll wait for you at home. I need you tonight…]

I was almost startled after hearing her line in my mind. Indeed no one was listening. An invitation to her bed! How could I say no? I felt sudden energy to be in the rage of running at my fastest speed and finishing the rogue vampire right away so I could go back to Arianell's bed and comfort her.

To wait for that after being in many vicious battles to come home to her, was worth it.

So I summoned one of them,

[Kirk, go back! Escort Arianell to her apartment and stay until I come there, do you need someone to accompany you? Take one!]

[Right away, sir! I'll take Duncan.]

As I was sure Arianell was okay with my pack's guards, I shifted outside the bar in the dark alley and ran as fast as I could to the scent left by my pack. They took the road, I ran on the roofs. I was jumping from one building to another. I had the perks of being the strongest as the alpha. Crystal polished my wolf with her magic so, at some certain level, I could be very light when I ran at my fastest speed.

As I looked at the blue moon, I could see that the Moon Goddess shone her light before me. I howled and increased my speed to get to the pack faster.

And as from afar, I heard the pack howling as a sign they found the rogue vampires.

[Wait, what? Vampires? More than one?]

I jumped at my highest and the farthest so I could be there in a few. In two minutes, I was there. The pack had already surrounded three of them, the rogue vampires. This must be something. Fortunately, there were 12 of us. We could take them one by one for each 4 of us. We'll be done in no time.

I saw the first vampire had already taken the bait from one of us. In each 4 of us, one would be the bait who moved closer than the others to one vampire. And when the vampire attacked the one as the bait, the pack consisting of 4 would drag the vampire from the other two vampires.

Divide and decapitate were the most effective ways to kill rogue vampires. Mostly they were young and stupid to learn the trick to conquer werewolves. Well, if there was one, which there was none. We were created a long time ago by God's descendants to conquer vampires. Each disease had a cure. If rogue vampires were the disease, then we the werewolves were the cure for humankind.

These rogue vampires usually were just turned after they were kidnapped or dragged by older rogue vampires. They seemed to be purposely raised an army of rogue vampires. Or they were just too stupid to have a goal in duplicating themselves for the sake of savage slaughters and blood draining.

I needed to be here in the Mainland longer than I expected to investigate the mushrooming of the rogue vampires. But my hunch had been whispering in the back of my head, my lizard brain recognizing the danger that this scheme was because the Tribrid was already killed by Arianell's mom.

The Tribrid might have raised an army of rogue vampires. Still, it could be read that the attacks were random which meant that they didn't have a purpose or even a specific goal to achieve. This could mean that they didn't have a leader which was good news.

If it was only about hunting them down and slaying them, my job would be easier as an alpha. Still, I had to check more with Iron if my theory was logical.

Speaking about Iron, he was there in the first 4 readied to blow his iron fist at the first vampire scattered from his group of vampires. I saw the next vampire also took the bait and the strongest hunter, Hunk, was about to jump using his last blow to the vampire's head. He then would bite the neck and throw the head off of the vampire. Just like decapitating him that was what we the werewolves were good at.

One bite that could work as a guillotine for the vampire would separate the head from the body. Then the head would be automatically burned by itself when the head was decapitated by a werewolf. If other creatures did that, they would have to burn the head using flame or fire, or the head would go back to the vampire's body and he would run again just like his head was never separated.

This was the privilege of being a werewolf. We were the deadly killing machine for the vampires. After all, as I had told you many times. Werewolves were descendants of Gods to protect humans from blood drinker vampires.

Then there left only the last three of my pack when I heard their scream in my head. This was my place to do the final blow.

[Kill this one!]

I jumped right exactly to the vampire's neck and pull the head in one swing until it was separated from the body. When I threw the head too high in the air, it burned and the residue fell off like fireworks. That was the only thing that was beautiful after the horror a human could see.

I was grateful Arianell didn't need to see that. Though she was a strong guardian Empath, she was still human. Although I had a hunch she'd be one of us in the werewolves pack.

We caught our breath after the battles. Iron shot a sign that I had to say something to the pack as an appreciation of their great work just a while ago.

[Well done, pack! I'm proud of all of you! Now you can go home and celebrate, but stay alert. I'll let you know if tomorrow we'll hunt again. We'll wait for the guardian Empath's reading.]

They started to run in a group of five. Then they separated to their places not far from each other. Iron and I stayed behind,

[Not bad for the first battle, 'Krem! Congrats on being a decent alpha.]

[And all because of you, 'Ron. Couldn't do it without your guidance and teaching. Shall we get back to Arianel's place?]

[Nah, I miss my diamond. She's waiting for me.]

[Shaking?]

I shot my mischievous gaze through my bright wolf eyes. I knew he had a dirty mind.

[I won't be the one. She'd be the one who wants to comfort me after the savage battle.]

[What a lovely she-wolf you got, 'Ron.]

[And you have your wonderful human girl. Gonna make her satisfied all night? Do you even have the energy to do it all night after the battle? Huh? Virgin alpha?]

Iron mocked me and I glared so he could see my glowing eyes even brighter now with anger.

[Oops! Sorry, your highness. I couldn't help myself. Thousands of apologies. Shall we head home?]

I ended my glowing glare so my eyes became dark.

[After you, mighty beta.]

[Ah I see that you understand the alpha has to check on everyone is safe, 'Krem.]

[Isn't that what I've been doing, 'Ron?]

[You're right. Let's go.]

Iron started to run, and I was behind him. But since I ran faster, I then was in front of him. We stopped a while and nodded at the intersection where I would head to Arianell's apartment, while Iron would head to Diamond's place.

[Till, tomorrow, sire!]

[Till tomorrow, mighty beta.]

I let him run first and made sure that he was safe. Though silly me, he had the iron fist, it was just obvious that he would be always safe. Then I headed to Arianell's apartment.

It took only two jumps on the roofs then I landed on her balcony. I saw Kirk and Duncan curling on the floor and they were suddenly alert by my presence and abruptly stood to welcome me.

[Relax… no need to be so formal. You two may leave now. Thank you for guarding my Luna.]

A bit of frowning I saw on Duncan's face. But it was acceptable because they thought that Arianell was a human but I considered her as my Luna. Kirk saw what was written on Duncan's face, so he distracted me though I knew what he intended to do. Still, it was forgiven.

[How was the conquering, sir? I believe it was a successful one, I saw you don't even have a scratch or drop a sweat.]

I smiled. Kirk was always famous for his kind words.

[That's very kind of you, Kirk, to say that. It was indeed a great work of our pack. I see that all of you were trained well by Iron.]

[And also my lady's mother, sire. She was a great elder and hunter.]

Kirk referred 'my lady' to Arianell. He was the one who had fought with Iron and Arianell's mom. Duncan was a new Delta, trained to be the second after Kirk. If Iron wasn't around, Kirk would be in charge.

[Very well then, off you go, both of you.]

My eyes were too heavy that I'd like to see Arianell right away, so I sent them home. We didn't need any escort anymore. My strong werewolf alpha scent would already be scaring the rogue vampires away. Any ordinary older and mature vampire wouldn't be stupid enough to come near this balcony.

Tonight's howling and slaughtering of the rogue vampires would put a big warning for the vampires that they weren't safe anymore for hunting down humans for blood. If they were smart enough, they would drink animal blood instead.

I let myself in still in my big wolf shape to see what Arianell would do to my wolf shape.

But I was unlucky. She was sleeping soundlessly. I shifted to my human Akrem form with my eight packs and the length between my legs exposed because I didn't see any towel and a big t-shirt provided near her bed or on any surface.

I took a look at Arianell's body on the bed and just realized when the wind blew her thin bed sheet over her body to expose most of the parts of her body. She was sleeping naked.

I felt something hard between my legs. I had a slight erection.

"Damn it!" I cursed myself in a whispering sound almost unheard. I avoided screaming in my head because Empath would hear a mind louder than the voice to the ear.

So I caught my breath giving a break to myself until my crotch loosened a little. Then I had the guts to approach Arianell to fix her blanket over her body. But still, I tried to wake her to see if I was lucky enough to make love to her tonight. Though I knew that I would stop halfway just to show her how much I cared about her and wanted it to be postponed until our wedding night.

If there would be one.

"Anne?" I whispered so softly in her left ear after I fixed her blanket so her body was covered and gave her warmth.

She let out a little moan that aroused all the cells in my body. I felt the tip of my manhood let out a tiny liquid. I was about to curse again but I stopped right away not to wake her up suddenly. So I called her one more time while the wind, again, blew her thin blanket and now her bosoms were exposed.

Those two beautiful looked chewy mountains with soft-like surfaces were so inviting. Oh, how I wanted to touch them softly and suck the peaks of them while playing them with my tongue until both of them were so hard supporting a louder moan came out of Arianell's sweet mouth.

I was dying to do that right away, but I needed to make sure that she was ready for me. So I called her one more time, now with a huskier voice, and brushed her left ear with the slight touch of my lips,

"Anne… Anne…"

"Hmm…?" She moaned again a little.

I was about to get ready for her when I saw her licking her lower lips and moaning more,

"Emh…"

And I just realized that she was dreaming seeing her eyes moving rapidly behind her tightly closed eyelids.

Well, then. It wasn't my lucky night. I thought we both were exhausted because of our first experience in reading for her, and my first battle using guardian Empath's guide.

Killing rogue vampires for me before was just as easy as sniffing their scent near, then killing them on the spot. I had never done a hunt with long distances to sweep like tonight. Plus I was the one who shot the final kill. I guessed I deserved a good night's sleep instead of the best first sex I could ever have with Arianell.

You know, all the built tension in waiting then to let go in one blow of a very intimate entanglement would require bigger energy than I had now. My knees were weak not because of the fast and heavy battle, but because of Arianell's naked body that was so damn inviting.

So I closed the balcony window so there would be no more wind that was evil enough to blow Arianell's blanket to expose her naked and inviting body to me and disturb my good night's sleep. I moved to the right side of Arianell and lift the blanket to cover the upper part of her body to her shoulders.

Still, while I was doing that, I let my knuckle sweep her smooth skin softly. It was hell to endure the urge that came between my legs that let out another drop of fluid down there. But it was worth it because I suddenly felt weak and ready to close my eyes to regain my energy for the morning.

After a few hours in my sleep, I felt Arianell move her head to lie on my bare chiseled chest. Her silver hair was so comforting on my chest skin. But I was too weak to touch her. Until I felt her left hand slowly moved down from my stomach to…
