Emily's POV
I shake my head not wanting to give him credit but apparently, his family was turning out to be as challenging as he had already predicted.
"You know what? You two better keep your comments to yourselves you're going to sour my dinner" Sentence once again his mother annoyed.
Apparently, the only person worth knowing was Mrs. Elizabeth.
Without giving the pair a chance to make any more degrading remarks in our absence, I took Nathan's hand and entwined it with mine. I pulled him away from that wall and urged him into the room. Once we stand at the threshold of the dining room everything goes silent, all eyes travel to us and I begin to feel appraised from head to toe by Nathan's inbreds.
"Honey, welcome!" The first person to approach us very effusively, just as I had expected, was the woman in the unforgiving red dress. "You are beautiful!" The nice woman complimented, positioning herself in the same position as Nathan's mother.
