Emily's POV
I hear her sniffle, she looks up and with saddened blue eyes she turns to me.
"You're Emily, aren't you? Nathan's girlfriend" I nod. She tries to smile at me but the sadness gets the better of her. "How can you help me with this? That stain looks awful, I can't go out and have dinner with my in-laws like that. Mr. Chris would eat me alive." She says with obvious fear of Mr. Father-in-law.
In an attempt to calm him down a bit I shake my head and approach her completely moved by her feeling, I put my hands on her hair and run it away from her wet face because of the tears.
"There is a solution Amelia, believe me" She took a handkerchief from the box on the counter and wiped it across her cheeks. All in all, it must have been horrible to be in this situation and to have a boyfriend as useless as Harry: "Let's do this, you go into the shower and take off your dress while I go to the kitchen to get some salt and I'll be right back, okay?"
