Emily's POV
A warm touch then brushes against my skin, I look up and see Nathan covering the back of my hand with his.
"I still think you're one of the bravest people I've ever met. Now I know I made the right choice, little eyes" He squeezes my hand trying to comfort me. I reciprocate his nice gesture and with my other palm, I cover his hand after murmuring a 'Thank You'.
After that deep conversation, the mood lightened and the walk didn't take long to finally end after a short fifteen minutes. To no surprise to me, Nathan's parents' house was nothing more than a million-euro mansion which was sheltered behind giant black gates, typical millionaire stuff.
"Who is it?" Questions a male voice through the interlocutor placed behind the gates once Nathan parks in front of them. I see the brown-haired man snort in frustration and press the button on the device, he gives his counterpart an answer sounding not at all friendly.
